  • It's a Panzer IV. It does Panzer IV things!
    This was my first Zvezda 1:72 scale build. Not too bad. I am a little disappointed at how the tracks tilt... but that's probably my fault. AT least partly my fault... otherwise it builds up pretty nicely. I had a pretty fun time building this kit.

    Just assembling one of these. Finding it to be an excellent kit, the black plastic one price tracks fit well with liquid poly and are detailed. (It is unreasonable to expect the track horns to be open at this scale). Only lack - the cupola, drivers and Funkers hatches are closed, though with modification you could show the turret side hatches in the open position. I like a wargame peice with fine detail where you can show the crew figures in action. This model stands well alongside the Revell kit

    It had never before occurred to me that the Panzer IV cupola looks like a hamburger. Thanks for spreading your esteemed knowledge on us!

    This was really convenient for me since I've just ordered the 1/72 Pz. IV from Zvezda. Your video was really helpful and I appreciate it, I hope to see more 1/72 scale models since I mainly work with that scale👍

    The, "box-like thing" on the back of the hull is the muffler for the auxiliary power motor. You might keep that in mind when it's time to paint so it gets the mufflery colors too.

      That makes sense with the little pipe protruding from it. It never occured to me that the muffler for an aux motor would be that big.

    Thanks for this, very informative. I may buy a few for myself but I also make up sets to give away and the PSC kit (although no where near as detailed) is simple and sturdy, so perhaps better for wargamers.

    Did you notice that you put the bogies the wrong way around? The bigger end of the spring should have pointed forward. Interesting video, good job.

      Haha I sure didn't. I must have been holding the hull the wrong wya when looking at the instructions. Oh well.

    I Bought Recently From Zvezda The 1/72 Snap Fit Kits Ferdinand, Panther Ausf. D And The King Tiger Ausf. B(Henschel Turret), They Cost 9,-€ Each. I Am Very Happy With The Kits, Although The Chains Could Be Better, But At The Price You Can Live With Them. Greetings From Germany.

    Just for The records: Germans don't put "Sauerkraut" in the turret stowage bin. That's a stereotype. Instead there are "Bratkartoffeln" (with onions and bacon) and "Erbsensuppe" (with peas and everything that is at hand - carrots, leek, turnips, motor oil, grandpa's dentures... as long it is hackled well).
    Nice video about a nice kit of a Panzer IV H - or as UA-cam calls it: LOPIO 6B
    Interesting tracks.

    "a box of some sort" it's the jack block, after making as many armor kits I'd expect you'd know something about the various parts of the tank.

    • @HerbertErpaderp
      @HerbertErpaderp  4 роки тому +4

      Are you talking about the part at around 12 minutes?
      If you're going to make this kind of comment you should know something about the various parts of the tank.

      @@HerbertErpaderp I do, I told you, it's the jack block
