As always... Thanks, Patrick, for speaking the truth. So many are too cowardly to speak on this topic.
I have never heard it in a homily. In fact, I never knew it at all until I began listening to Catholic Answers when I reverted in my late 40s. You're good at what you do. Thank you!
The irony is that I’ve only heard it preached at TLM parishes even though those are the only parishes that actually follow the teachings
Patrick, I love you brother in Christ. Thank you for educating me on the church. May I ask why you stopped posting on rumble? Would love to see you on there!
Good job Patrick!! Viva Cristo Rey! Keep up the good work!! (37+ years married & blessed)
NFP has been a reality for our marriage almost the entire time (16 years). We have used it to concieve and to avoid conception due to health issues I have during pregnancy. Every time we walked into bringing forth new life was done in faith, hoping for a "normal" pregnancy. Unfortunately every pregnancy was worse than the last, and every time we hoped a new medication or therapy would help, it did not. So we are blessed with our three children here on earth and one in heaven, and carry the cross of NFP cycle after cycle. We always have the conversation of if we feel able to take the chance again, so we never close the door in our hearts or minds. But until a medical breakthrough in my condition happens we come to the same conclusion. We have shed many tears, received solid spiritual direction, and continue to pray about the issue. We dreamed of a house bursting at the seams with children but it seems God had other plans and had a cross for us to carry that would tear out every bit of selfishness.
You are correct, it’s not easy being a Catholic, takes constant effort - the results are eternally worth it 🙏✝️
It makes women more aggressive, competitive, cold, and masculine in my experience.
Does this apply to all methods of family planning?
False because it increase oestrogen level (feminine hormone)
Increase breast size
Lower libido (more feminine to have less)
@Nola-2000 No.
NFP with the purpose of not having kids is same thing
The use of the birth control pill and invitro fertilization are Golden Arrows for rebuking "once saved always saved/eternal security". Humanae Vitae 👍👍
I'm not quite following you on this sorry.
It is only in the latter years of my life that I came to understand the Catholic teaching on contraception. I guess I always knew the Catholic church frowned upon it but I never understood why and came to think that it was a man made rule. There was no information available anywhere on it and certainly no teaching from the pulpit. In fact I was incredibly ignorant about the faith until I got to my late 40's when the internet became available. When I found out I was mortified at how I had lived my life and went straight to confession. I have 4 children but could have had more, now it is a source of pain that I didn't have more. I often wonder what my life would have been like if I hadn't used some form of contraception and just totally given it all over to God. As reparation I joined the pro-life movement about 12 years ago and have been fortunate to educate my daughters on the subject who are both totally open to life despite one of them having a disabling health issue. My life, with my husband, is now dedicated to helping and supporting them to raise a large family. God is good!
Study:
-Birth Control Pill Use Affects Smell
-Oral contraceptive pills (OCPs): Some OCPs contain progestogens that can cause hirsutism.
On the first side effect, the woman's ability to sense her biological mate could lead to the wrong choice of partner which ultimately result to divorce. Additionally, decrease in female libido due to pill use could add stress to the relationship.
On the second side effect, is it possible that progestogens could result to confused genders (women on pills experience facial hair growth)? Ever wondered why decades ago, gender confusion was barely heard of? Nowadays they have their own flag.
God will provide. What happened to this teaching? To some God gives one child and to others God gives two and to others God gives more. God controls population , not us.
God controls life and death as well. So I assume you are a Christian Scientist and don't go to doctors because God will determine whether you live or die.
What happened to "God will provide?" Planned Parenthood gave us NFP / "responsible parenthood." So now it's up to us.
Isn't there a mention of pharmachia in the Bible It is a Greek word which describes the type of birth prevention used at that time
@@Leonard-td5rn why do you ask?
Just checking: 1968 - Pope John XXIII? That is, not Paul VI? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
You'd better check out U. s. history. At it's first availability the loudest social endorsement was in churches, spreading rapidly in the NE states. The endorsement wasn't within but was the advocated response to "undesirables" in the community. BTW, the advocation was in tune with the steady Catholic financing of single birthing facilities (with packed B0ne yards in the back known internationally).
Did he say there's only 1 day a month women can definateley conceive or did I mis hear 🤔
Whatever he said, truth is it's different for different couples. Some can only get pregnant for a few hours per cycle, some for a few days (depending on the life span of the sperm for example).
Realistically even if you are pretty irregular, one week of abstinence even will avoid pregnancy as this will provide a buffer. If you aren’t super regular then you need longer periods of abstinence, whereas when you are really regular then you can pinpoint it to a 3-4 day fertility window.
He said ovulation occurs one day a month. This is true. However your fertility window can be up to a couple days before ovulation and up to about 3 days after ovulation. Sperm can last a couple days in the woman potentially and an egg can accept sperm up to about 3 days after the egg drops down into the uterus. Everyone is a little different. All women should be learning their cycles from puberty on and can understand themselves this way. When women frustrate their fertility from teenage years onward, then they never get in touch with their natural cycle and have a very hard time understanding their fertility window.
Does someone who got their tubes tied or had a vasectomy have to abstain for the rest of their lives? Because technically that would be mortal sin right?
No they don’t have to abstain with their spouse even if they wrongfully sterilized themselves. If you got a procedure that can be reversed then I’d imagine you are obligated to reverse it. If you can reverse a vasectomy for example, and refuse to then you cannot probably be truly repentant until then.
@ would if the insurance won’t pay for a reversal ?
@ I’d say talk to your priest. But typically insurance won’t cover it. I think it would be a very beautiful thing to reverse it because even if it’s expensive, it shows that you are totally contrite and open to life again.
@@forehead949 But I’m in my sixties?
@ I don’t know. I think you’d need to talk to a good traditional priest. I’d imagine that if you and your spouse are past typical child bearing years then it’s less relevant, but based on principle, I think reversal would still be best seeing as it is still possible in principle that you could be fertile even though it might be unlikely. In the scripture people had children well past their “childbearing years.” If they used contraception then they wouldn’t have been able to conceive in accordance with Gods will. It’s kind of like if I steal something, but both me and the rightful owner no longer have a use for it years later, I am still obligated to correct the wrong that I did. What does that mean for someone who had a vasectomy and are either still in, or past fertile years? I’m not sure. Also the long term health consequences of a vasectomy for example can I beleive lead to testicular cancer for example. If we do a harmful modification to our body, then I would think, in principle, it should be restored back to its natural order if at all possible. Also if you are a male then you in principle would still be fertile in later years of life so a vasectomy would still be actively frustrating your fertility potential even if your wife isn’t likely fertile.
there is a certain percentage of women who can't use oral contraception for medical reasons hence why there are alternatives like IUD or Copper Coil
No one should be using any of it
The IUD/copper coil is an abortifacient. It stops a fertilised egg from implanting in the lining of the womb, hence causes an early abortion. Should never be used by anyone of faith. One of the worst forms of contraception and probably also a cause of uterine cancer.
Yes I did actually we did not used contraception starting late but God give us seventh health children’s and many mis courage courageous Catholic….
Are you still consider adultère second marriage went the first still a life?
Thank you For you that straggler whit that …it nice went you get 72 thinking that a blessing to had not followed the fashion of the world …

What a crock!!! Best thing I ever did was to leave the Catholic church.......after 8 yrs in the seminary........now a happy agnostic
We are so lucky you left the seminary. 😊
Between the long winded explanation and the rubbing of your nose, I gave up!
This guy has led so many out of the Church.
What does he say that’s wrong? Sounds as holy as Gregorian chant to my ears…
Why do you think so?
@@AnnulmentProof he's a sedevecantist and lies about our Pope. Dude actually claimed Benedict was secretly the Pope for years, now Benedict is dead. So I guess Coffin thinks we have no Pope.

The man consistently slanders the Pope. Slandering is one of the worst ways to lie
@@jd3jefferson556 Bergoglio is the worst pope we have ever had, if he's the pope. All options are on the table for any thinking Catholic. Mr. Coffin's remarks today concerned the teaching of the Catholic faith on contraception; his remarks were more authentically Catholic than anything Bergoglio has ever said.
