Man, that's some beautiful country. Jealous of the relocation! Fun video, hope you and the fam are enjoying the new home!
Man it is gorgeous, Dave! Thanks man!
Dave, you can come visit Colorado anytime! I'll drive down from Fort Collins and the 3 of us can go for an epic trail run!
What a lovely place, so beautiful.
It really is!
Railway is incredible. Definitely recommend taking the family up
Man I don’t know if my kids could do it. My oldest son really wants too, but I don’t knowing I could take the complaining 😂
Unless you mean the actual railway lol.
Haha yeah the actual railway. Awesome scenery and you the visitor center at the top of Pike’s Peak has a neat history section
God I love Colorado! Amazing trails man. Enjoy!
Man it’s amazing! My run today was so epic!
At 8:55 when you said “this is too cool!”, I was thinking the exact same thing. So happy for you and your new running environment. And I LOVE the kindness of the people you met on the trail. What a great start to the day. 😊
Yeah man I’m loving it! Everyone on the trail was super nice and moved out of the way as I was bombing down.
The wife and I did the Incline this past September. Highly recommended for a bucket list! Simply amazing.
Awesome! Definitely a bucket list item!
Glad to see you've settled in nicely! Jealous of the move! My wife and I keep talking about moving out to Colorado.
It’s awesome here!
The view behind you at 2000 ft was unreal 😮, gorgeous!
It’s beautiful!
Beautiful video Steven! I’d love to run there someday!
You definitely need to make plans to do it!
Come on over Scott ;-)
awesome stuff.., excellent video.., I hope to do manitou incline soon
Thank you! You should!
Beautiful beautiful beautiful! I need to run Barr Trail. So pretty! In fact, I had plotted out a 22 mile course that summits Pikes Peak. Would love to do that run one of these days (after the snow melts).
Lets do it! I'm down lol. I will try my best to summit PP before winter is over
Manitou Incline is on my bucket list
Definitely a bucket list item!
Yay! So happy for you! Your joy was oozing from you during this video! Looks like ultratrailsteven is going to get good (crosses fingers to stay healthy and injury free)
Thanks, Steve!
Amazing! The incline is a bucket list item for me. I will get out there some day. It was nice to see you enjoying the trails.
It’s an amazing experience! Thanks!
Should definitely do Pikes Peak Marathon
I want to! Have you done it?
Love seeing this from your point of view. I don't even have to go outside... I can just sit here at my computer a while longer this morning...
It's really hard to take it easy on that thing huh? Seems you're set to make the most of your new home here; great running!
Haha drink an extra cup of coffee! I was moving slow with intention at the start of the incline, but eventually the continuous steep climbing gets really hard no matter how slow you go lol. Although I am out of climbing shape, so I need to get back to it! Thanks!
I don’t know which part was more amazing -the climb up or the run at the top, descent! Thanks for sharing, Steven. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Challenger 7’s.. I was on similarly snowy trails yesterday with the 6’s and it was dicey!
Thanks! I love the ATR 7’s! They did great in the snow. Though it was a dry/crunchy snow.
you got sweaty? Shocked!
LMAO
Incredible! Is there a story behind the steps? The view of Pikes Peak was beautiful, are you planning on doing that race? Thank god for the natural spring at the bottom, lol.
"The Manitou Incline was originally built as a cable car to carry materials to build pipelines on Pikes Peak - America's Mountain. After the pipelines were finished, it was turned into a tourist attraction to bring guests to the top of the foothills for a spectacular view of Colorado Springs and the eastern plains." for more, see www.visitcos.com/things-to-do/outdoors/manitou-incline/history/
I would love to do the Pikes Peak Marathon! Just gotta see if I can get in.
Awesome. I hope to be able to make it there someday. Any long term thoughts/concerns about that Camelbak vest?
Definitely a bucket list hike! I will be doing a full review on this vest soon. It’s a good vest.
@@UltraTrailSteven great. Well, I am subscribed with notifications turned on!
@@AZHighlandHomestead thanks for the support! This Zephyr Pro vest isn’t released yet, so I am waiting on Camelbak to give me the ok to publish a review video. Hopefully soon!
Impressive trail! Lovely video too 👌
Thanks! 👍
Jealous!
It’s awesome man!
I moved to denver in 2019 and have ran most of the trails on the front range here and in the springs. The barr trail is nice. Barr trail out and back is about 13 miles and a good long run. If you ever want some company on the run I do my long runs on Saturday morning around that area. Only 6ft5 runner you’ll see on the trail all day haha
Yeah I have lots to explore here! I definitely plan on doing the full Barr trail ascent and descent up Pikes Peak, but need to continue my altitude adaptation. I am 6'3" so you will see another tall runner out there! ha
