Yes there is a draw cord to out over the top of the flasks.

Haha for me, Salomon ADV Skin 12. It’s just so comfortable and the pockets are amazing.

Are the bottles 42mm, same as the Hyrapak that come with Solomon vests? I'm happy with my AdvSkin 12, but I'm thinking it might be a consideration for someone who already has flasks. Nice to have the flasks and tops all interchangeable. I mix and match my 350 handhelds, 500 handhelds, 500 plain and my various caps (speed, long valve, short valve)
No, the Salomon/Hydrapak tops do not fit the Camelbak flask. I couldn’t get them to screw on.
Thanks for the review! I'm in the market for a new vest that will be used for 100 milers. For my next 100 there are parts of the course that I'd need a third bottle. Would I have to take the vest off to get to the 3rd bottle if I put it in the back pocket as you suggest? Also, have you tried to put a 20oz bottle in the front holders. I'd definitely need more than the 550ml bottles up front and I'm not a fan of soft flasks either. Lastly, do you think a bottle would stay in that lower rear compartment that you can easily access; that pass thru I believe you called it? Again, thanks for the review and all of your content!
I have not tried hard bottles, but they may work. You can reach the rear pass through fairly well so that should work.

Salomon Advanced skin 12, this Camelbak Zephyr...or something else?? Currently using advanced skin 5 and naked belt combined for longer sojourns.
Ha 2nd person to ask this… for me there is just no beating the Salomon ADV Skin 12. It’s so amazingly comfortable and the pockets are perfect. If it had a quiver built in like this, it would be unbeatable.

@@UltraTrailSteven Hey, since you love the ADV Skin 12 and have recently tested a Camelbak product, wondering if you tried to use the Camelbak soft-bottles in the ADV 12? I think the the Camelbak bottles are better than the Salomon ones. Thanks - and please keep making the vids, you share really good info.
@@joeg4487 I have not tied that yet. I have used Salomon bottles on the Camelbak vest though. Personally I like the Salomon bottles better as they hold more liquid and go in the vest easier. Thanks for the compliment!
