It’s so amazing watching this guy become something special. Like he only started with guitar 2 YEARS AGO and this dude has already been so crucial to a lot of our discovery.
I’ve been subscribed to Aaron’s channel since 3,000 subscribers. It’s bittersweet for me. It’s like watching my favorite band become mainstream! Kind of frustrating cuz I felt like I had an inside secret to something special, and now the secret is out. But so happy for the attention he’s getting.. cuz he deserves it. So much time put into this channel, awesome productions and texture, obviously awesome content and subject matter, and tons of talent.
only 2 years and now he has so much knowledge about gear and tone and it’s crazy. crazy to think about the fact that i’ve been playing guitar for longer than someone i look up to and learn a lot from
The intro music to this video is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. Last summer there was a huge fire right next to my farm and I can remember listening to this intro music out in my shop while I was fixing an old amp trying to take my mind off the fire. It perfectly captured the emotions I was experiencing. The fear, depression and uncertainty of what was going to happen next. A couple days later I recorded drums over it and doubled it into a song and it is such a beautiful piece of music. Aaron you are a genius. Keep doing what you are doing.
Goddmn i've written somenthing so similar to the song you put in the first part of the video, and it drives me crazy that we wrote the same darn harmony and melody maybe just bc we listen to nirvana a ton. Great vid
My band once opened for Arabrot and they shared the cabs with us. I played one of their Hiwatt cabs with Fane speakers in it and it was one of the best sounding cabs I ever heard.
Your videos are making me genuinely happy. I don't know if it's because of the cinematic quality or your level of commitment but thanks man ! Keep up the amazing work! Cheers !
I always love your vids man! Please consider releasing impulse responses, that would make it amazing for all of us and we’d totally pay for it considering the speakers you find are super rare!
Some notable people who believe Kurt Cobain was murdered: - Norm Stamper (Seattle Chief of Police at the time of Kurt's death in 1994, now sadly retired) - Tom Grant (Courtney Love's P.I) - Hank Harrisson (Courtney Love's Father) - Leland Cobain (Kurt's Grandfather and closest family member at the time of his death in 1994) - Rosemary Carroll (Kurt and Courtney's Attorney in 1994) - Dr. Cyril Wecht (Leading and Veteran Forensic Pathologist who has studied the case in detail) There are others, including Kurt and Courtney's Nanny from March 1994 who also thinks it was murder, but the above are the most notable.
If you interview Albini, I can’t wait for it, you’ll ask great question and on top of that you know your stuff so he’ll be more than open about it with you, more than he usually is and on top of that it’ll be great content as always from you.
Have you always played a bit of guitar or other instruments? Im confused on how you know so much about sound design and recording. This channel is amazing! Thank you.
Hey Aaron. You said in this video that you don't really like the sound of hot rails in mustangs. Do you have a recommendation for an alternative? I currently have a seymour duncan lil' 59 and i don't really like the sound of it.
I ve done series/parallel/split coil wiring for my classic vibe mustang, in parallel mode it sounds extremely close to heart shaped box tone. I dont have video of recreating it exactly the same but i have video with heart shaped box tuned -2 and some chorus, i just like that kind of sound. Hot rail in parallel wiring mode sound bright and dynamic as single coil but alot better!
I absolutely love the intro to this... it's chilling!! You should put out your own album. I can't believe I've never seen any of your videos before. But if it has to do with Nirvana- chances are I will eventually stumble across it. I'm a full-fledged Nirvana fan. Have loved them since I was barely a teenager. Keep the goods comin' man!
I played Albini's Veleno on an album I made at Electrical in 2009 with Albini. Played it through a Gibsonette for leads and it contrasted well with my Jag, rat and twin.
@@amirsommer1522 It's not very good by todays standards, but here is a track. m.ua-cam.com/video/YQ7cvwVxWE4/v-deo.html. I have a load of footage on an old camcorder of the 4 day session with Albini. 16 track 2" tape down to 1/4" master. It was mastered by Bob Weston. I got it transferred onto DVD but then didn't know how to convert it for youtube, maybe I should look into it this year. The veleno is the short "solo" section.

It would be amazing if you made a website like gilmourish with all your findings. This is very useful and interesting. For example I need to know the wiring for the jaguar and mustang. Pot and caps values =)

Since you like that amp and it can't be used to mimic Kurt's recordings, that's the one I recommend using for your music.
