I totally agree! Every time I hear the first game's credits, I'm reminded of the first time I played through it - combining that bittersweet feeling of ending a heartwarming story with great longing, but also that kind of hopeful sense of there's more to come! And considering how many more brilliant games that followed that I really enjoyed, it really reminds me of that feeling of first meeting someone who you didn't realise at the time would later become a companion for life, as this franchise really did become for me :)
Man, no ending really hits like JFA's. The resolve to Wright, Edgeworth, and Franziska's arcs has such a satisfying relief and feel that I don't think any other game has.
I actually underrated JFA hugely until I sat down and watched an analysis of it. In retrospect, it's actually a better game than AJ:AA, a great game with great difficulty, a highlight tutorial case, and the other cases weren't bad as I thought, especially the last, which is the second best in the series

Thank you so much for this. With 2001 I can only hear Smooth McGroove until the half a minute mark Just noticed that Trial 2004 actually uses the ending of PW:AA! That's why it sounded so final!
There’s something relieving of the first and third endings. At the point of their releases, PW:AA and T&T were supposed to be the end of the series, and the ending theme reflects that. The journeys done, these characters have grown, and it’s time to continue their lives without us. Edit: to go further into this, I’m not sure if Apollo Justice was meant to be the finale. But its theme has the opposite effect imo. You’ve gotten through all these situations, but there’s this feeling that you still have to wake up tomorrow and go back at it. The legal system isn’t fixed yet, and until it is, they’ll have to keep working.
By the way, I remember you asking whether there were any new cross examination themes for TGAA. There kind of is, it’s called reasoning battle and played during the final testimony for game 1 (I don’t remember if it was for any other testimonies)
I really liked that Dual Destinies ending theme was a remix of Phoenix Wright - Objection! 2004 & 2001. And that Spirit of Justice's ending theme was a remix of Apollo Justice.- Objection!

SPOILERS FOR GREAT ATTORNEY: Great attorneys ending suite at 1:03:31 really shows the progress of naruhudo's regular life turning into one where his best friend leaves, and he learns to fend for himself. beatiful
I've finished all ace attorney games(including the great ace attorney duology) but investigations and Clayton(for investigations 1 I have 2 cases left)
Phoenix Wright (8/10, Good) Rise From The Ashes (7.7/10, Ok) Justice For All (8/10, Good) JFA (8.2/10, Good) Trials and Tribulations (9.6/10, Love The Trial Theme) Apollo Justice (8.4/10, Pretty Good) Miles Edgeworth (8.5/10, Pretty Good) Miles Edgeworth II (8.4/10 Good) Great Revival (8.7/10, Pretty Good) Each One's Path (9/10, fits the game) PW vs PL (9.5/10) (9.5/10) (9.5/10) Dual Destinies (8.4/10, Good) (10/10) (10/10) (9.5/10) (9/10) (10/10) (9/10)
I decided to split "End" themes and Secondary credit themes. End Themes: 1. The Great Ace Attorney 2 2. Investigations 2 3. The Great Ace Attorney 4. Spirit of Justice 5. Investigations 1 6. Apollo Justice 7. Trials and Tribulations 8. Dual Destinies 9. Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney 10. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 11. Justice For All + Variation Other Credit Themes: 1. The Great End - Epilogue (TGAA2) 2. The Great Turnabout Never Ends (TGAA) 3. Farewell His Last Bow (TGAA2) 4. Each One's Path (TGAA2) 5. Dawn of the Unspeakable Story (TGAA) 6. Inherited Hopes Remix (SOJ) 7. Prosecutor's Murmur 2011 (AAI2) 8. Prosecutor's Murmur 2009 (AAI) 9. Music Box of TGAA Ending Suite (TGAA2) 10. Prelude (PLvsPW) 11. Denouement (PLvsPW) 12. Countdown to the Future (DD) 13. Rise from the Ashes (Since this isn't AA's "true" end theme, I put it as a secondary) 14. Prosecutor's Murmur 2002 (JFA)
since no one has brought it up yet, and most likely very few will, I'll say that PLvsPW's ending theme is, like the rest of the game, highly underrated. It easily is the ending theme with the grandest scale to it, it really makes you feel like you just finished playing a once in a lifetime collaboration between titans, and the fact that that game doesn't ever phone it in as you'd expect from a crossover game and is instead a worthy entry in both series is evident in the ending theme. PLvsPW's soundtrack is really slept on I think, it's pretty great.
@@gabrote42 idk, I really like PLvsPW, I actually think it's a great AA game but just a fine PL game. I think that mostly has to do with the writing and production value though, not the soundtrack. Its soundtrack can be a bit weird at times, I will agree though.
@@ninjabunny9526 Mybe we both missed the other franchise's masterpieces. Have you watched both T&T and GK2? What would you recommend I build up towards for truly appreciating "The best of Professor Layton"?
@@gabrote42 I've played every AA game, and currently PLvsPW is like my third or fourth favorite. I still haven't finished GAA2, but I only like AA4 and GAA1 and maybe GAA2 more than PLvsPW. As for PL games, my favorites are Last Spectre and Miracle Mask. Those ones complete the Layton and Luke duo with Emmy, who just perfectly rounds out the main cast in my opinion. But the fan favorite is Unwound Future, which I also like, but not as much as Last Spectre and Miracle Mask. Those two games are part of the prequel series though, which you actually have to play in order and also includes the movie, so if you don't want to commit to that, you can play Diabolical Box, it's my favorite of the original trilogy and you don't really need to play the previous games to play it.
all of them really do make me so emotional,,, this really is my favorite game series of all time and the t&t one with the mia picture 🥺 my favorite character ever

But Sholmes’s face was alight with joy. ‘The times may change, but a steadfast friendship will remain true, Wilson. We have but to gently close our eyes, and we are with our companions once more.’ …So I do just that. And when I do, I can hear his strong, familiar voice ring out.

We see again everyone, excluding Franziska (and Gumshoe) It's so sad, that we don't for real know, what happens to this two. Well, still waiting for AA7
@@Mad_Man_With_A_Box I mean if a slight reference in Spirit of Justice is anything to go by, I'd say Gumshoe is still a detective. Besides that, it is unfortunate that we never see Franziska again, I'm pretty curious if her character has at all changed like Phoenix and Edgeworth did in between the events of Trials and Tribulations/the Investigations duology to Apollo Justice.

6. Apollo Justice
7. Trials and Tribulations
8. Dual Destinies

10. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
11. Justice For All + Variation
Other Credit Themes:

10. Prelude (PLvsPW)

14. Prosecutor's Murmur 2002 (JFA)
The Great End being 1st in Others? Yes.
The original still the best
The DGS ones have me in a chokehold still they make me feel like my emotions are being crushed in a good way
since no one has brought it up yet, and most likely very few will, I'll say that PLvsPW's ending theme is, like the rest of the game, highly underrated.
I agree, but while it's underrated it's not a superb PW game (it's an outstanding PL tho). I find some choices in the OST a little puzzling though
@@ninjabunny9526 We may have taste mismatch, as I dislike AJ:AA. But I will take that advice into account as soon as I have time
Can you do one with all the reminiscense themes? You have one but i doesnt have the ones from the great ace attorney 2. Thanks for these videos.
I was gonna make a joke about the one person who disliked, but I have no clue who would be dumb enough to do that
We all dont know why
My favourite one is the rise from the ashes credits theme.
Man i love this series
all of them really do make me so emotional,,, this really is my favorite game series of all time
and the t&t one with the mia picture 🥺 my favorite character ever
Same, i like mia too ^
I will never not cry when hearing TaT end credits... God this game mindfucked me so hard when everything was tied together ! Even tho I played all the AA games (except Investigations 2), TaT has a very very special place in my heart.
Great Ace Attorney 2 Spoilers 1:23:46
‘Come! The game is afoot!’
The ship with our friends from the East sailed steadily towards the distant horizon. But Sholmes’s face was alight with joy.
‘The times may change, but a steadfast friendship will remain true, Wilson. We have but to gently close our eyes, and we are with our companions once more.’
…So I do just that. And when I do, I can hear his strong, familiar voice ring out.
OBJECTION!

"Until we meet again, Runo!"
I'm legit crying rn
i havent seen/played the Rynosuke games but the soundtrack makes me want to cry, i hope to play them on the switch soon
I am unable to express my love for ending suite ~ the great turnabout never ends
Isn't Baker Street Ball also a credits song for Great Ace Attorney Chronicles? Thank you also!
Oh, you mean that cute song with the felt dolls?
peakfessor layton vs phoenix wright will always be my favorite game of the series
Ace attorney phoenix Wright and justice for all are the games that the credits hit the most for me
I've started playing the first one at summer 2020 while on vacation and downloaded it when I was at the beach and finished it October 2020
The second one at Easter holidays 2021 while I was at my village and completed it at summer 2021 especially 8/7/21 20:53 I was sitting at my balcony watching the sun setting while hearing the music from the credits
Best series of games capcom did a really good job
PW:AA just hits different 👍
Trials And Tribulations sounds like you don't gonna see Again Phoenix,Maya,Franziska,Miles and others. It's very nice.I'm so like it.
We see again everyone, excluding Franziska (and Gumshoe)
It's so sad, that we don't for real know, what happens to this two.
Well, still waiting for AA7
@@Mad_Man_With_A_Box Ебать,что не по русски базаришь?
@@Mad_Man_With_A_Box We'll se them in investigations duology
@@Mad_Man_With_A_Box
I mean if a slight reference in Spirit of Justice is anything to go by, I'd say Gumshoe is still a detective.
Besides that, it is unfortunate that we never see Franziska again, I'm pretty curious if her character has at all changed like Phoenix and Edgeworth did in between the events of Trials and Tribulations/the Investigations duology to Apollo Justice.
53:49 That theme made me cry the first time i played that game
The great turnabout never ends was just so perfect
