From what I can tell, the reason why the Great Ace games have set the bar so high compared to the other Ace Attorney games is due to a lot of the crew who worked on the Ace Attorney and Layton crossover were invited to work on this series which brought in fresh eyes and new skill sets and gave the game a very distinct style.
Listening to it here each time makes me cry; I just remember finishing the game late at night in bed, my 3DS about to die, full of more emotions than I can count, feeling like I'd just experienced something truly magical, that nothing else can match (until 2 comes along). Love you forever, DGS ಥ⌣ಥ
I don’t like this game’s ost very much actually. I feel like most of the songs are just average not to say there aren’t any great songs of course. I know the songs use old instruments to fit the old setting but that makes the songs suffer in my opinion. I think the games with the best soundtracks are investigations, Prof. Layton vs Phoenix Wright, and Dual Destinies.
Yeah I think DGS 2 may have overdone it a bit with reusing tracks but I would have had no issues with them running this back for the credits, one of the best Ace Attorney songs period
I'll be honest, even knowing there was a whole other Great Ace Attorney game to go before I was truly done this story, I still cried listening to this theme
Ngl, AA6 was an embarrassing game after this masterpiece. The Great Ace Attorney duology is so much more advanced in its animations, gameplay mechanics, music, and of course the genius story telling of Shu Takumi. I don't know what it is exactly, but the humour in dialogues and script writing overall is also so superior to that in AA5, AA6 and the AAI series. I really miss Takumi as the writer of the main series :(
The difference Is That Takumi actually writes characters. Meanwhile Yamazaki's team prefers to nostalgia Bait the audience and over the top World ending scenarios
OK but ngl, if AA7 come out soon, they better make it as great as the GAA duology, heck I want it to be even better than the duology, but can they at least let a new attorney have their spotlight for once??
Melhor trilha sonora da saga sem sombra de dúvida, só o segundo jogo pra talvez superar, vou esperar a Scarlet Study terminar a tradução completa pra conferir.
be careful though, if you haven't seen the 2nd game, i've already seen spoilers for it. yikes. don't read too deeply into track comments till you beat them both.
I really love how Ryunosuke's themes are fully original but with bits of Objection 2001 Even as Phoenix's ancestor, he's still his own unique character, with his own adventure to tell
Yeah it's a great detail they added objection 2001 in a lot of his themes it ties him far better with his descendant, that make me miss objection 2001 even more
@@passmethesaltplease4175 DGS is actually one of the best takes on ancestral spin-offs, tbh, with the subtle referencing to Phoenix while retaining the originality of Ryunosuke being a major reason of that. Too many times will it just be “your descendant is your only gimmick” mixed with “oops! All ancestors!” I’m glad DGS could deviate from that and focus on the person behind the ancestor while also giving us ancestors only on the rarest occasions(cough *Auchi is the only other ancestor in this duology* cough)
This one really sounds like a great ending It does give me a mixed feeling between Professor Layton and Ace Attorney, but it sounds amazing nonetheless.
I have finished DGS tonight and this final, this song, the story and the characters touched me in a way different but stronger than other Ace Attorney game. I really love it. I'll never forgive the fact that Asogi left us too soon... 😭😭😭 Anyway, tomorrow i'll start DGS2 and i'm excited. 😎
I finished Adventures back in January. I am biding my time before I move on to Resolve. This ending smacked me with emotions and I want to let the impact die down a bit before moving on. I still have to do the side cases too.
When this game was announced I actually started trying to teach myself Japanese so I could play it one day, just finished DGS 1 today and I loved it. Gonna start DGS 2 tomorrow.
I cant say for true this its the best final case in all Ace Attorney series in how makes perfectly sense in terms of how they developts the case itself
The translation team did an alright job on the translation of the game as I remember but it would have been so much better if it was an official translation. To bad they legally cannot do that.

4:50 it sounds so gentle and hopeful at the same time
Its probably my favorite part of the song, a gentle and simple arrangement with very good violin accompaniment is so good
Same here, I especially love how snappy the accordion sounds at 4:56
That’s what Susato does.
So beautiful and inspiring! I really wish more ppl played this game...

IDK, I thought SoJ was pretty good. Compared to this, of course, no, but still good. I'd say that it rivals AAI2.
