It took quite a few hours over the last few days, but I've worked out a method for quickly and reliably doing the candelabra lighting part of the BF1 Conflict Dog Tag Easter Egg!

Well finally decided to go about this and now some dude keeps following me server to server and I was one button click away and have to restart.
Um... I just clicked the same light thingy over and over until they all lit up

Super helpful. Nice actually seeing it in practice, this is way easier to understand, than if you were to read it of the Game Detectives Wiki.
I've unlocked it by pressing randomly on the candelabras but this could help a lot ;)
Honestly every time I just went clicking random ones it worked within 3 minutes, and when I tried to do it this way or other methods ive seen it takes way longer. I love these puzzles though we need more games that are just based on puzzles like this.

If it happens to someone else: you can push the last candelabre 14 times, it will be in the same position ( you can check ) and it will reset the timer.

I got dummy lucky with this puzzle. I didn’t look up what I was doing yet. I clicked candle 6, it turned on all of them except 1 and 2, I saw 1 was off, so I went to turn it on and it happened to turn on 2 as well thus solving the problem. I came here looking to see if I messed something up cuz I couldn’t do anything. I guess I did it?? xD

@@Disposalist it worked so well, it got me to almost finishing the Easter egg, I was one button push away and my console crashed, good to know that your light method works great though
The spreadsheet available for download doesn't have the automated solver just the rest of the boxes
The candle holders do not become interactable after destroying all light sources, no matter how many times I try. Whats the problem here?
Did you destroyed them with meele? The candelabras

It doesnt work. If i do everythink like you but with my lights, I should press 1111 and if i click it nothing happend.

Having worked out the algorithm behind it, I can tell you it's really very lucky to get it done randomly.

The Disposalist Im following your guide step by step. So far i have A begining Dog Tag, An Omen and the Room and ive enjoyed doing them. Ive had so much help from the BFEE Discord Community and i cant thank them enough as they're so helpful and very smart. I think i will get the Escalation Skin in a minute

Ive already ordered BFV and cannot wait to see what the developers come up with for the easter egg hunt again. Im currently trying to get all the codex and every dog tag, apart from the dice ones and maybe a few i missed out on

is this still working ? isn't it patched out ? i cant see the dog tag on my profile however i did all the steps and i heard all the noises from both phases after destroying the lights and after switching them on in order . I heard the last noise i quit the server but there is no dog tag on my profile . is it still working ? this tutorial is 4 years old.
It's still works as far as I know, but even back when first introduced there were people who didn't get the update straight away. For some it took hours for the dog tag to show. Others even said they had to make a support case to get it sorted.
Hopefully they haven't broken it. There haven't been any have updates for years, but the servers sometimes go wrong...

@@Disposalist i've red that it could take up few hours depends on when the server is reset ... so i guess tomorrow it will pop up. if not then i guess it's bugged for me. anyway thx for the help...nice tutorial it helped me a lot done it in 10 minutes still waiting for like 1 hour to show up...

Well, it can be done 'manually' but it's hard. Excel files can be opened using some free Apps, too. I think you can even use MS Excel Online for free as long as you have a microsoft account (or set up a new one).

Before this I spent about 5 - 10 minutes of just randomly pressing the buttons. Im COMPLETLY screwed though on the last part.

I'm in the BF Easter Egg community and use their Discord channel. They did the discovering of the whole thing, I just worked out the method to quickly solve the candelabra part.

I am on a offical DICE server but when I destroy all the light sources nothing happens. I cannot progress. I hear no strange noice and there are no buttons on the candles
When that happened to me it was because I had missed a light source. Sometimes, depending on how you destroy them, they look destroyed but are not. Bullets are the surest method rather than explosives.
It's a long time since I did it though...
