They totally look and sound like real KISS to a KISS fan like me who has been thinking about KISS for 36 years. I went to see them in Osaka Japan in 1992. It was just like I was in KISS ALIVE album in 1975 except God of Thunder and Ace playing the intro guitar arpeggio of Black Diamond and Detroit Rock City. (Some years later I learned real KISS played DRC for a little while during Destroyer Tour with Alive Tour outfits on.)They wore real KISS outfits from 1975, right ? I remember they came out of the concert hall with the make-up and the outfits on , strutted around here and there and left there in a small car.
Damn, looking at this video is like looking at the real kiss in 75 man.. wow.. the whole deal, from the music to the way they move and the costumes, the sign in the back and the candles and the whole stage set up is just amazing.. great job!! Best kiss tribute band I've ever seen in my life.. and I've seen a shit load..
Tommy Thayer as the Spaceman. Chris McLernon of Cold Sweat and Saigon Kick as the Demon. Jaime St. James of Black N’ Blue as the Catman. Anthony White, originally the drummer in Mark Slaughter’s band Xcursion pre VVI days and also played in Cold Sweat as the Starchild. Kick ass tribute!
Loved it, reminds me of seeing a Melbourne band Dynissty back in the 80's & early 90's. They were the best going round and always put a great show. Marshall amps running so hot you could smell the valve glass burning and ringing ears the next day ! Bring back those days

This video was from a Cold Gin show that I produced at a short lived club called Club 860 (860 Garnet Ave) in San Diego California, we did severall Cold Gin shows back then, but I think this was the biggest show with over 800 fans in attendance
This was a wonderful act in early 1990's because everyone was starving with 1970's KISS. It might have been one of the KISS Strategies.Yes, it must have.
WOW, this brings back cool time's man. I live in San Diego saw them at a place called Winters on El Cajon Blvd a few days before or after this show. I was blown away I was around 21 years old or so. Anybody remember Winters?
I booked the shows at Winters and this show was about a year after winters closed down, I booked and produced this show and the show at Winters, that winters place still holds a special place in my heart, probably my favorite club events I was ever involved in to this day
It's almost like the whole act from start to finish is the same template as every other KISS tribute ive seen. They all have practically the same set list in the same order and the on stage choregraphy is practically identical. These guys do it very well.
Black N Blue opened for Kiss back in the 80's before forming the Kiss Tribute Band Cold Gin. Tommy Thayer (Ace) and Jamie St. James (Peter) were in Black N Blue. Anthony White (Paul) also played in Ohio based tribute band Strutter.
This is the last show! I saw them at least a dozen times, and the first V time they just wore clothes black clothes and the make up? Then they got the costumes and they had played a party for Paul Stanley and he got them the REALAlive era KISS sign. And they got bigger and bigger until they were selling out theaters on multiple nights! I had a Randy Rhoads tribute band called Blizzard! ÷ started playing shows together .and I would go b up to Tommy and tell him that he needs to suck in his cheeks and kinda pucker ,and don't just walk around, kinda stumble. The singer for black and blue was on drums ,and I gave him gum to chew,I said Peterv did it because of coke, but that was his thing ,but he couldn't play and chew at the same time! The Gene guy was the best ,you can't really see anything here ,but he made the band! They got too big and KISS, Paul and Gene, thought it was time to stop’this and start trying to plan a reunion! So the next was the conventions and then after Peter played with them at the LA convention, MTV asked about an acoustic set, and they could see about Ace. And after that, it was on. I just wish they would have stopped before psycho circus, or after it. They went 20 years too long! Now all the new tribute bands can start up! But, this was a great band!
I saw them at The Celebrity Theatre in LA area So Cal. May 9 1992. They were awesome! The Kiss Clones opened. Anyone know what The Celebrity Theater is now?? Can't recall the city. :/
Thanks for this! Any idea what year or type of venue? This will be annoying for a day or two but im going to post the set list one by one because it wont let me save a draft. I will put it all in one comment with times when I have a chance this week.
I really think, based upon youtube videos, that Cold Gin may be the most accurate 1973-1974 Kiss tribute band. This is San Diego, California. Does anyone know if they tour the west coast regularly? My son missed the Kiss End of the Road tour because of that damned covid and he is very disappointed. The first time I saw Kiss was at Anaheim Stadium in August 1976, at their height. I would really like to take my son to see a really good tribute band, and Cold Gin seems to bne the best so far, but this video is 6 years old. Do they still work together as "Kiss" at all?
@@downboys Tommy Thayer was in a group called Black n Blue that opened a bunch of Kiss shows and He also did Cold Gin (kiss tribute) for fun and it was a big success.....and well the rest is history, he now plays in KISS
If someone would have told us that the ACE in this band would eventually be wearing that makeup and playing with Kiss as such, for two decades, we would have said they were on crack.
I saw these guys the early 90s Halloween at the Troubadour. They opened as Black N Blue and then put their makeup and costumes on and came out as Cold Gin.
The seven who who didnt like this..those are the ones who love kiss tribute bands that can ONLY play the songs..fat guys who look like they are ready for Halloween and have 0 stage presence and can't even move as they should. This tribute was on point!!!!
These guys have it down! This is awesome...probably the best Kiss Tribute band I've seen yet.
It's strange to Tommy Thayer would go from being in a kiss tribute band as Ace Frehley to being in kiss
he was in the entourage of kiss for some year, he already worked with them before this was recorded.
That's Tommy Thayer as the Spaceman
If you wanna see a real kiss tribute band check out MR. speed
Man Tommy was and still is awesome!!!! What skill!!!! Heck these guys are all great. They got everything down from look to sound!!!

They set the bar for me so far.
KISS Fan since i was fourteen -since 42 years now - saw KISS often live - they guys are ´great - good job
Like getting into a time machine and going to '75.
Then in '96 got to see the Reunion tour.
I was floored both times. 🤟
Dude! If you put KISS Live 1975, Indiana, I would've believed you!
lol. now tommy does the same shit but gets paid more
Hahahahahahaha the same shit almost 30 years later!
@Chill Will I totally agree, not for nothing has been in the band for almost 20 years, I was saying it jokingly I really like tommy

This was the best tribute, hands down. Saw them in LA years ago. It was the next best thing to seeing KISS in the early ‘70’s.
This takes me back to 75 these guys are real good
