Little did the audience know this man was going to become a legend
*Well known.
Conan is a legend ☝🏽
Yeah, he became a Californian!
@@payrocoin Yeah, then he became Regine :D
Basically he's the Portlandia guy, but this was long before Portlandia, so the audience had no idea how famous he'd become later. I don't know about "legend" but he definitely became a lot more famous.
@@DeathBringer769 okay great you want me to peer edit this essay you felt compelled to write?
Saved my life many times because of this thanks Fred!
I absolutely adore Fred armisen! He's as funny then as he is today..
YAAAAY!! I remember this was the first time Fred Armisen crossed my radar!! So glad it worked out for him
So stone faced. Incredible!!!

I think he should audition for SNL
I'm starting to think Fred isn't a real cop. 🤔🧐
This reminds me of 'You gotta get yourself a PORCELAIN FOUNTAIN'
faboze I come to you
I like Fred Armisen. He's funny.
Me too
I'm convinced the cell-phone idea would actually work, at least for a few seconds.
It's worked for me when I pointed to my headphones and kept walking.
Look at that damn cell phone! I didn’t get my first one until four years after this video (2004). 😀
Mr. Armisen. You're a legend.
funny as hell lol! Love you conan!
And on Seth Meyers' show he opines on fine art and contemporary books--is there anything Fred can't do?
TIMELY
Fred is awesome
every now and then fred sort of looks like tom hanks
I've been looking for this for decades. I saw it when it aired. I think it was before SNL
This was amazingly funny 😆
Conan’s hair was in the early stages of standing straight up. Transition phase
I remember Conan making a joke about how he styled it with mayonnaise.
Lol I remember watching this when it aired.
They need to do a “The Set Up” of this.
sgt armandson's technique have gotten me out of many a difficult situation let me twll you
And an early role for Michael Fassbender there...
What did Fred do to his lips?
John was such a collaborative prop!!
BABY FRED!!!!
There is nothing funnier than someone who takes themself too seriously. That’s why jazz and music in general is so easy to make fun of.
huh? Where is that last sentence coming from?
@@pmcate2 it's the fact that a lot of jazz music, especially improv, is widely considered an excuse to play random notes.
Wow. Fred Armisen before he became Fred Armisen .
He did “Self Defense Expert” in his SNL audition
you can not enter the castle until i have brought down the bridge over the moat that encircles the castle until impteen bropty to do so exactly at that hour
If Freddie Marcury did Comedy!

You always charge a man with a gun, with a knife you run

Jason Statham, before he had hair.
Previous month I managed to pull my first five figure paycheck ever!!! I've been working for this provider on the net for two years now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the most desirable thing about it is the fact I am not that tech-savvy, they only required basic insight into internet and simple typing skill...Great thing about this job is that now I have more free time with my kids. I am in a position to devote quality time with my relatives and buddies and take care of my babies and also going on holiday with them very frequently. Don't neglect this chance and try to act quickly. This is what I do... *revenue39.com*
there’s a guy on tiktok or whatever that does this exact thing 😂 on ways things could be avoided, like a gun in your face 🤣 fred was way ahead
Did he do this on SNL once before. I know I've seen him do this bit
The only tip I didn't agree with was being on the cell cuz if they get ahold of that cell they can use it as a weapon against you or call for backup. Contacts could include Zimmerman
Very similar to that Derrick comedy sketch
nice
Being attacked by balder, Skinnier Henry Calvil
He looks like baba booey
Who's the other dude?
Conan O'brien
Nick Zaytsev
He’s asking about the other guy doing the demonstration with Fred.
@@Ryotsu2112 😂😂😂😂
@@Ryotsu2112 r/woooooosh
About as useful as Detroit urban safety training
Didn’t he basically turn this into a sketch once he got hired on SNL?
Which one!?

R u serious?
Conan's late night show first aired in September of 1993. That was right before I turned 12. Shit, I'm old. 😢
1:32 "Take it back, man!"
I think he's still with the Minneapolis police.
Was this before or after he joined SNL? I have no idea Fred Armisen ever did this kind of bit on Conan.
PS: who's the other performer?

Dat Gamle Obelisk Is Nit In Stør

He was great on SNL.
He sort of does this same stuff on his show Portlandia.
Why you keep on posting very very old videos Conan. Make new ☹
This guy has been unfunny for for decades.
...he looks so much like gary dell'abate from the howard stern show.
And like John Oates
