I am not an expert on Fort Myers, but I do have a condo in Iona. The location is perfect 10 minutes from Sanibel and 10 minutes from Fort Myers Beach 30 minutes from the airport. Some great shopping and unlike downtown you will never have to pay for a parking meter.
When I sell houses there I do! Like I said in the video, just because it didn't make the list doesn't mean it's not a great place. I just don't think it is one of the top 8 myself. But it could be #1 for you if it fits what you are looking for. If you are looking call me so we can talk through what you are looking for and we will see if we can find the right place for you!
That address is not in any of these neighborhoods. But it’s fairly close to the historic downtown river district. Is that an home you are interested in?
That is Fort Myers Shores. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood. It’s a mix of working class families and retirees. Most of the homes were built in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. It’s a mix of gulf access homes as well as off water homes and mostly single family but there are some small multi-family properties as well. There is no hoa so that comes with its own pros and cons. Not everyone keeps their property up like you might hope but it also means you can keep your RV or boat in your driveway if you want as well.
Best area to live in around Ft. Myers, somewhere in Mississippi 😂😂😂 Homeless encampments in all the woods in Lee County. Pill heads steal everything not nailed down Reflection Lakes got a good sniffer, you can smell the neighbor fart. Buckingham yep right over just on the other side of 75 from the ghettos. High theft area. Hope you have lots of money land here is expensive. Gateway. Like jets you are gonna hear them. Lots of traffic congestion leave 40 minutes early to get to work Daniels is bumper to bumper. McGregor hope you have big bucks flood wind hurricane insurance will bankrupt most people. It all flooded during hurricane Ian. Paseo common folk are not going to live there. HOA is a pain. Esplanade like Paseo is a rich man's homesite. Again HOA is miserable. Insurance on those homes gonna cost you. Ft Myers Beach is going to cost you big time. Properties are very expensive and insurance hope you are loaded. Oh and the pier it is not there and wont be for 4 or 5 years Ian took it out. Oh and don't go in the water without shoes, storm debris. The river district they got 7 feet of water during Ian. Hope you have lots of cash for flood insurance. People downtown had boats for neighbors after the storm.
@@LivinginSouthwestFlorida_ no, I don't. I was here when there were 47000 people county wide. Homeless got beat up by Sheriff Wanaka's Sheriff's Department and sent north at the county line on Old BurntStore Rd. You could find peace and quiet and didn't have to fear someone breaking into your home. That all changed with the building boom of the 1990's. Now it is pretty much Miami.
Good job on the video! I'm surprised Iona did not make your list...
Would you mind sharing with us where on this list you would put Iona and some reasons why? I'd love to hear!

I would like to move to florida but I live in San Diego 🤷♂️
I’d be happy to help you figure out to make it happen! Give me a call and let’s talk it through!!
Historic downtown Fort Myers is reminiscent of the Gaslamp district in San Diego. You’d love it!
What is the neighborhood like north of Palm Beach Blvd. along the river
