That was because Lin-Manuel could only secure the Delacorte Theater location in Central Park for that brief period in February 2020. I love all these. This musical is so so good and these reviews are amazing. Thank you!
Come to your senses made me cry
The fact that this is a single take, live recording on set mics, is ugh, insane and amazing. It's so raw and vulnerable, but powerful.
I have seen this video like 4 times. Just seen your reaction to this beautiful son makes me keep watching over and over. Even if I get tears sometimes 🥲
this was my absolute favorite song in the musical, and I hadn't seen a reaction to it yet! Thank you so much! Your reaction was wonderful
2 years in and I'm here still obsessed with Tick Tick!
Andrews mother died quite soon before this filming 😢
Andrew is amazing and beautiful ❤️🥺
I've watched your reaction to this song at least 10 times now, and the emotions are the same every. single. time. Andrew just blew me away in this movie and this song in particular had me ugly, snotty crying into my pillow. And I will admit I am one of those that had given up on my singing, not necessarily because I thought I was bad, I'm not terrible, but more because I wasn't doing it because I wanted to, I was doing it because I was forced into doing it, but now... after watching Andrew and your videos I want to get back to it, but this time because I choose to.
I cry everytime I watch this song. Shit hits hard all I can thunk about is my best friend.
I love this man, his voice is very beautiful 😍🥺❤️❤️❤️
This is live and his whole second take … it’s just amazing. My favorite moment of the entire movie
Done live, and used the second take. It only took two. Perfect
this is one of my favourite songs in the whole film
you should really listen to the bonus track green green dress! its so catchy and i love how they divide the lyrics between the two!!
He sang the song live for the movie and I think it was like the second week of filming when he had to do it. Biggest emotional climax of the movie and he had to do it SECOND WEEK of filming?! And this was the product?! Ahhh! So amazing
I agree. The scene right before this gutted me
Andrew Garfield is just such a generous artist it is insane how he puts himself on the line on every line of this movie. If they dont give him an oscar I will never watch them again.
Oh I’ve been waiting for this one
The green dress is one of my favorites
I'd just like people to know in case you don't know, but the person who Michael is based on is still alive. So he's still around to see this.
Can you do No More or Swimming next?
Yesss
i was bawlinggggg my eyes out during this scene
It was live. Second take. Jonathan Larson`s sister was there (crying) and gave him a hug afterwards.
And Lin Manuel Miranda cried at this part too
i have been waiting so long for you to react to this. thank you
This is lovely. And maybe it will make you feel better to know that the character on whom Mike is based *LIVED.* ❤️
Best actor oscar!
the piano isnt random! that is the Public Theater in central park, which is a staple of pre- and off-broadway shows. i think hamilton started there, actually, so lin had some personal connection to that stage :')
