My optimal comp as a theorycrafter: 1. Neon (quick rotations from odd rotation paths, lots of nice out of map skill jumps, very fast entry due to the buffs, fast follow up from initiator util). 2. Breach (Lots of long corridors in mid for free stun potential. Hard to clear rat corners for aftershock potential. Very large open areas for group flashes. This is by far the best breach map in the game calling it now.) 3. Harbor (yes not omen Im trolling gg ez I lost. No but honestly Harbor is better because of how open the map is. The cascade is one of the best ways to scale through the large mains where lots of team fights will happen and since this map is gonna be all about the post plant, cove is your best friend. Omen is better for the TikTok highlight clips). 4. Gekko (again post plants are your friends on attacker side, you gotta plant fast before rotations come in. Dizzy also clears a LOT of space, and Thrash is literally broken rn too. 5. Chamber (chamber’s back baby. Operator potential on this map is unreal. Trips aren’t really gonna be too helpful anyways since nobody should even go mid, but you still have one. Lots of get out of jail free card areas). Honorable Mentions: Deadlock (wall delays push for a LONG time for team to rotate over, gravnet is OP Sova: Drone can clear large open areas very quickly, and lots of cringe dart spots for reveals Omen: obviously, he’s got lots of TPs and his flash can clear the big open areas well, Sage: similar to deadlock, wall is annoying slow orbs are annoying, grim is annoying Agents to avoid: Yoru (tp’s will fall off the map you can’t just throw your tp anywhere), Clove (it’s a large map so if your Clove dies in any of the mains you’re forced to commit there, since there’s so many angles which you won’t have smokes for also the wide corridors doesn’t help the meddle)
I think that with a comp this kj might be better than chamber especially at stalling since neons stall potential is severely nerfed now. Plus kj gives you more post plant util and this comp definitely needs more of that. Neon can be the alternative oper if you get rid of chamber for kj since her side movement got buffed it’ll be easier to take a shot and dash away I think that yoru’s tps might be an issue but overall being able to teleport across the large map and even jump off and teleport back on can not only help with rotates but cool strategies to outplay the enemy team. The flashes also seem very good since there are a lot of high ceilings and open spots to either throw on the ground and pop flash into the air or just chuck it onto site since it’ll pop so high and flash a lot of space

I was also working with some ideas with Reyna since her dismiss speed got buffed and her flashes are more useful because of the open areas. That would make the comp look like: Harbor (solo controller) Deadlock (solo sentinel) Reyna (Op on defense + entry on offense) Breach (Exec Initiator) Sova/Gekko (Recon/Space Initiator). I’m also wondering if you could completely get away without the Recon initiator altogether just keeping the Breach and just use double duelist with Neon and Reyna or double controller with Harbor and Omen for the flash value.
I think Chamber lacks way too much in legitimate utility to justify picking him just because it's a good Op map. I think META (at high level) is going to be Duelist Op (Jett, Raze, MAYBE Neon) and switch chamber for any other sentinel.

Cool opinions, i love the info... i know it wont be meta but im sticking with Clove for now lol. All maps are Clove maps in solo queue imo. Between the amount of help you can give after death (even if you only turn 1 round into a win after death its more than you could do on any of the others) and the little heal and the ult for a 2nd life they are the best solo queue agent imo.
The big thing for cypher is controlling B danger with either the suicide trip or the landing trip and could be the same with deadlock as most wont walk jump and you can trap the landing and wall can force them to the jump spot or off of it. Im excited to get creative
best comp in my eyes is jett, kayo, gekko, kj, omen because you have a ton of postplant util and also good ways to retake. the only reason i think omen over other controllers is because hes just all around the best solo controller and with the rest of the comp, it makes the most sense

I’m sure getting hard info is going to be very important and sova does that better than Kay/o imo. Plus the drone can be used to clear a lot of the tight corners that are on this map. The only advantage I see that Kay/o has over sova is being able to suppress enemies in post plant situations or if they are trying to deny the spike. And if that is the metta comp then gekko and Jett are the only ults that his ult can counter. Whereas if you run sova it can be used against the kj ult and possibly gekko ult which is more valuable imo

I just feel that the ult is gonna have a hard time clearing out areas and the range of the bots might be a problem. Weird comp idea but hear me out Harbor: the only controller that can really get b sight smoked and push back the op, the cascade is a great space taker and is also good against op and cove for post plants Astra: her stars are universal and she has good stall for the large map or use Viper: she is great for stall and lurks also post plant mollies on attack Kj: she watches mid really well since post plant will be really important and stall for rotates her mollies are great and as always lockdown is busted Sage: I know it’s double controller and double sentinel but in combination with harbor you can’t stop the defuse and once more stall is great, her wall also makes a site take super easy Gekko: the flash will be able to hit all of site I could also see Kayo or Sova over astra or sage in some comps for info or flashes

what if, as an idea for a new controller, we make a controller that has a smoke that only their team can see through. maybe if they had 3 of those smokes that would be OP, but maybe they could have just one of those one-way friendly smokes. maybe it could look exactly like their other normal smokes so the enemy would never know which smoke to be scared of. actually, that also sounds OP.

call me crazy but new iso could be pretty good on abyss. the wall is good for a lot of the longer lanes, his vulnerable is good for those lanes too and post plant/execs, his ult is good for post plant/execs/retake, and its an op map, with his buffed signature he can op way better. he would definitely have to be played alongside another duelist though because hes kind of a pseudo initiator i also think all sentinels can work on this map well for different reasons
I think it's a Cypher map over Killjoy, but that's based on me also thinking it's a good Sova map. Haven't seen much in the way of lineups yet but I'm sure there's some to be found with all of the open roofs.
There are a ton of attack one ways but they are pretty hard to throw. Kanga Valorant made a video showing a ton that can be pretty powerful like ones in A heaven
I do disagree with viper. She won't be useless but I think with the defensive setups not being great and the attacking setups not really doing more than a sova drone would... I don't see how you go viper over a second initiator

I doubt it. In icebox a pipe where the attacker jumps to that elevated ground, harbor wall slow isn't good enough for that, and that gap is likely bigger than those gaps. But still, people wouldn't disrespect harbor wall in those death gaps.

Most definitely a harbor map, and idc what anyone says, both raze and neon are dogshit on it. Not enough walls to bounce the neon stuff off of, and there aren't alot of good nade spots either.
you always need passive detection on a big map because if you try to watch all possible entries as a defender most of the time it will be just 1v5 sentinel stall for preparation for retake or watching some lurks

im pretty sure harbor util slow will allow people to not make jumps, so it might be good then cuz u just send a cascade and they can't go

Does Harbor walls slow enemies enough that they cant jump certain gaps on this map ?
I doubt it. In icebox a pipe where the attacker jumps to that elevated ground, harbor wall slow isn't good enough for that, and that gap is likely bigger than those gaps.
But still, people wouldn't disrespect harbor wall in those death gaps.
It might actually if you need to run.

Most definitely a harbor map, and idc what anyone says, both raze and neon are dogshit on it. Not enough walls to bounce the neon stuff off of, and there aren't alot of good nade spots either.

you always need passive detection on a big map because if you try to watch all possible entries as a defender most of the time it will be just 1v5

Honestly for me as a Brim main, i think this is gonna be the worst map for Brim. Even more than Breeze.
And because brim and cloves range is ass, we will play more viper/omen and maaaaybe astra (ho even likes astra) and then riot will nerf viper Aaaagain. Just increase brim and cloves range. Ima shoot somebody. (In game)
