Guess who forgot to add the KV-1 this time... My quick thoughts. Overall it has very good armor, an ok gun, but a cost that is a little expensive for what it trades to get additional armor with a T-34 gun. I would rate it B tier. It's good but for the same class a Churchill is definitely more bang for your buck and has better abilities / specials.
KV-1 is basically just Churchill tank, armed with okayish gun that will have troubles against heavier tanks like Panther, Tiger 1 and 2, along side Elephant.
Then you're not playing it right. Heavy tanks are supposed to always be supported by infantry or other vehicles especially at its flank because that's their most vulnerable spot. Gavan Brown yeah CoH2 makes you think heavy tanks are invulnerable. In reality at close range even the smallest gun could penetrate armor. A greyhound destroyed a KT irl with 3 shots to the rear from 26 meters. T34s and Shermans should both easily pen Tigers frontal armor at the ranges in the game.

And btw, I just found your channel, I love it so much because there ain't any COH channels out there and you guys put out great content for fans of Company of heroes. SUBSCRIBED!!!
I noticed about the Pershing. I noticed it didn't have a roof MG. I then noticed during one battle the commander throws grenades and rather accurately too.
It's funny to watch this over a year later with all the changes to the tanks and meta and how some tanks likely shifted around. Like, Comet now would, imo, be easily an A tier, Churchill off to B or C tier, IS-2 also would likely be at least B tier, if not A tier, Cromwell is A tier, Valentine imo goes straight up to A if not S tier. Not a criticism to you guys, just so much changed in this time. For reasoning, btw: Comet: With Churchill getting such a high pop cost and with the buffs to it, it certainly no longer is the inferior option. It's the one allied non-heavy that can 1v1 a Panther and have a decent chance of winning, it can kill infantry, it has the WP shell to screw over crew weapons (including AT guns), it doesn't have Blitz, but with Hammer, you still get Warspeed. It costs a lot, but it certainly is worth it with the proper micro. I would say, even if you just want something in front of your Firefly, the Comet isn't as beefy as the Churchill, but it adds another gun to the fight that just punches German armour and it has the agility to do a pursuit, which neither the Churchill nor the Firefly can. Churchill: It just costs too much pop. It still is a solid tank, but it ties down so much pop. IS-2: Got a good bit more predictable gun in what the shell does, still quite inaccurate, but it's now at least worth it. heavy tank changes make it a bit more of an issue to build around, if you lose it. ISU is less threatened there, but IS-2, if you get it, it can now actually do its job. Also, the HE shell is great. Cromwell: MG buff helped make this thing pretty damn wild. I saw valid cases of Cromwell spam the way Axis can spam P4. Given it also gets smoke shell, this thing is certainly a great all-rounder. Valentine: If this was the Valentine when the Brits got their revamp, with 7 pop cost, this would be guaranteed S tier. I'm still not sure whether it wouldn't belong in there. Even if I do not grade this tank for anything in the stupidly powerful doctrine it comes with, except the Sexton (due to the Valentine's ability), the Valentine for what it costs is just great value. 5 CP is a bit late for light vehicles and is a bummer for stuff like the Greyhound, but the Valentine is actually a light medium tank. It can take two fausts to get the engine knocked out, it can fight axis LV and win, it is a squishy Cromwell otherwise and you can go for a Cromwell, then get this thing and together they will basically beat any armour the Axis can throw at you at this point. Its AI game is decent, it has the observation mode like a T-70 and while it doesn't have the track shot like the AEC or the engine shot/weakpont shot of the Stuart, the Sexton barrage being independent from the Sexton CD just allows this to throw out so much artillery with a Sexton or two, it makes OKW cry. Given the ability also is Vet 0, as Royal Arty, if you need something gone, it is a valid point to get this thing late game, run it around the flank with its great speed, find whatever you want nuked and drop the barrage in a suicide run. The barrage bypasses the range limitation, so you can get the kill on some OKW T4 or something with this, which can be worth 80 fuel.
My T34 and IL-2 say it's S tier and a guaranteed kill on a panther and below. Decent chance on tiger to delete. And king elephant or jadgtiger if its damaged a little already.
In my opinion the M10 Achilles should have a better penetration stats than the M10 Wolverine because of the fact the British mounted a QF-17 pdr in place of the US M7 3-inch
Isn't the calliope an artillery, it's not really that bad when fighting against infantry it can literally wipe out entire squads with the rockets. It could deal a little damage to tanks to or even kill them if you get lucky hits.
I will admit being a panzer 4 fanatic that I am I am very scared of KV-8 everytime I see one I will gun for that bad boy the same way I will gun for isu-152 they scare me.

@ZoSo221 "Too fragile". Dude the tank is not made to slug it out with panthers. With its speed and armor it is made to do flanks and chase down low health armor.
Imo I would switch the Firefly to tier A and the Jackson to tier S, I generally find the Jackson easier to use despite the Firefly having more potential damage thanks to the rockets. And I know tank destroyers aren't great vs infantry, but I find the Jackson has better chances to hit infantry
I dunno why they debuffed the calliope. The real design can use its gun. I dunno why relic never made to excel this tank. Even the rockets are shet compared to the katyusha.
They should make it 6 population with its current capability. Damage wise 70% less than katyusha(both hit count and damage in total), and the cooldown is very long compare with the performance.

Wolverine/Achilles is ok in C but deserves more credit because it’s faster than a Jackson and can flank easier. The other day I was able to get a vet 3 Wolverine that was just murdering panthers and PnzrIVs
IS-2 should have more pen and 200dmg but slower reload , ffs its 122mm gun. Damage should reflect that. At least 200 dmg with 8 sec reload, i did math back in day, DPS would stay same vs tanks. IS-2 was known for slow reloads but 1 shot penetration kills. Why not reflect that in game?
The strange thing in the game is the Shermans 76mm, 90mm, the british 17pdr( 17pdr HV for Comet) and the 85mm Russian cannon could easily get rid of Tiger, but in the game is so hard, and the IS-2 and 17pdr using Sabot can easily penetrating a Panther in the UFP, but in the game is so fucking difficult to make this with allied, the only tanks that could be a really threat in the Late Game is the King Tiger, Elefant(Ferdinand) and the Jagdtiger, the Tiger is really obsolete and Panther maybe is a little better than the late allied medium tanks, The game really chooses to portray tank combat only by the myths that TV shows propagate as Tiger and Panthers invincible.
Pershing has more pen, hits more often, and has a rotating turret when compared to the IS-2 (as stated by you guys).So... how is it 2 tiers lower than if no negatives were listed in comparison to the IS-2?
Churchill is only good vs pz4s. Otherwise you need to tech up and get him. It's weak vs heavy armor and only feeds vet. I would rather have 2 cromwells or comet than churchill.
KV2 s are only good in video games. Did you know that if it was parked on even a slight inline in any direction, it couldnt turn its turret because it was too heavy to turn. It was only good for blowing up pillboxes and bunkers and anything that doesnt actually move.
@@gringokillah9543 Not really Kingtiger wasnt that broken when Germany still had the capacity to produce them. However every tank has its flaws. Though i must say the KV-2 wasnt an excellent tank but it was still a tank. Hence it held out an entire panzer division.
Essentially the german factions tank overperform. Their given far better armor because rett coddles their German players. No way a panther bounces a 122. Bow on earth a pz4 deflects a Sherman 76 shell is beyond me. They just read the forums and nerf any allied tactic
@George Rome That would depend on the crew capabilities, and conditions. The M4 Sherman with the 75mm cannon could take out long-barreled Panzer IVs in several cases.
@George Rome Specifying the variant would also help. Shermans upgraded with the 76mm guns could easily knock out a Panzer IV from the front at longer distances, no matter the Panzer variant.
@George Rome Never hurts to make absolutely sure, does it? Earlier in the war, in Africa, Shermans had success against Panzer IVs, as they weren't as advanced yet, so it's really down to skill, grit, and luck.
@George Rome While the M4 Sherman (I guess this is the variant we're talking about) couldn't stand up to later Panzer IVs, it was by no means a bad tank. It was used in a way it wasn't made to fulfill, it was an inferno trap with the gas engine, but, it was a very versatile tank, able to provide infantry support, mechanized transport, destruction of emplacements, and fighting less armored German vehicles.
Stuart S tier? seems like you haven't played USF, It got nerfed quite a while ago and is really useless againts infantry compared to other light vehicles, takes so many shots to kill a light vehicle and overall I think it shouldn't be S tier.
@George Rome if you can pen with them then yea, you have better chance with ost p4, okw p4 is abit questionable but most of the time you will running in to phanter in 4v4 anyway so invest a m36 that can do every better than m10 is more perferable
Its a pretty versatile tank as it can easily switch from AT to AI and vice versa and its also pretty fast in its own right. The only downside is it can still be destroyed in a one v one by its Axis medium tank counterparts. But its versatility completely more than makes up for its weaknesses

Greyhound and Sherman D tier. Yet there my tools of distruction when combined correctly.
In road to valor: ww2 they are S tier
Greyhound reminds me what the Riflemen described it.
if you saying stuart is S rank :D you probably not playing Americans alot. Yes its an okay tank but against puma no against inf not really may be very early game, soon as inf get snares anti tank this thing just dies so quick, it doesnt have no smoke, so ones the engine damaged , 90% of the time its dead!
oh yeah baby spam the Tigers SPAM THE TIGERS.
Love Tigers you kite them with fire fly and kill them easy lol
Oof, AVRE worse than Sturmtiger and in A tier instead of S, compared to ST reaching even S tier looool, maybe that was pre-patch.
I would argue the greyhound deserves to be C tier because it’s cheaper than a Stuart and I’ve been able to lockdown sectors with just two greyhounds quickly murdering infantry. Wolverine/Achilles is ok in C but deserves more credit because it’s faster than a Jackson and can flank easier. The other day I was able to get a vet 3 Wolverine that was just murdering panthers and PnzrIVs
These idiots use M10 like the M36 so they don't know the magic of M10
Panter win vs IS-2 is like ... god damn this is so outdated and farm from reality :D
2:38 Abd that is undreal
M4C sherman is hands down the best medium tank there is
i fear much more the comet than the churchill
Pershing has more pen, hits more often, and has a rotating turret when compared to the IS-2 (as stated by you guys).So... how is it 2 tiers lower than if no negatives were listed in comparison to the IS-2?
Do you mean ISU-152? They put IS-2 in C tier.
@@dogancanaykan yeah thanks for the correction
it has less damage, less range, less HP, less splash damage (cannot wipe) and isn't russian
I feel like the t70 wrecks the luchs if you micro ok
T70 wreck Luch even if you leave it afk lol .
what's the difference between Wolverine and Jackson? they have very similar description and role, but the price difference is noticeable
Wolverine has weaker stats than a jackson. Only positive is speed.
The M36 houses a 90mm while the M10 has the 76mm
Wolverine -
Pros - Faster reload, Speed, Cheap to build,
Cons- Worse pen, Worse damage, Pay to get better damage and pen.
@@magdarloongii563 so an M10 Wolverine is more or less a SU76 with turret?
@@OrisOsiris1 the M10's barrel is alot longer than the SU 76 meaning it has more penetration
Churchill is only good vs pz4s. Otherwise you need to tech up and get him. It's weak vs heavy armor and only feeds vet. I would rather have 2 cromwells or comet than churchill.
IS 2 --> C? really?
yes
Good armor with garbage gun
if you buff it with intel bulletin still C average.
sad thing about is 2 is even panther can beat it
What about the Soviet Sherman? That thing is awesome.
t 34 lower, su 85 higher, isu 152 lower and is 2 higher; is 2 is the only tank that i have seen to bounce an elefant shot, gun still garbage
which one is better? M4C Sherman or T-34/85 ?
T 34 85
Ger armor makes all All armor at the best okish:(
I wish they would add the hellcat to coh2
The bulldozer is the best.
Kv1?
an overprice T-34
Are they twins?
Compared to the axis ratings they rated, allied armor > axis armor confirmed
They must have buffed the comet because it's amazing more
The Colliope is a artillery unit, so what would be the point of it having a gun. Rate units in there intended role.
The guy that walked in is based, i agree with his toughts
Comet...is S tier tank....
KV2 s are only good in video games. Did you know that if it was parked on even a slight inline in any direction, it couldnt turn its turret because it was too heavy to turn. It was only good for blowing up pillboxes and bunkers and anything that doesnt actually move.
Dude, you can say same thing about almost any of Axis heavys IRL.
@@gringokillah9543 Not really Kingtiger wasnt that broken when Germany still had the capacity to produce them. However every tank has its flaws. Though i must say the KV-2 wasnt an excellent tank but it was still a tank. Hence it held out an entire panzer division.
is this list still viable?
Where's the KV-1??
Ace is smarter than both of u
Essentially the german factions tank overperform. Their given far better armor because rett coddles their German players. No way a panther bounces a 122. Bow on earth a pz4 deflects a Sherman 76 shell is beyond me. They just read the forums and nerf any allied tactic
Allied(especially usa) needs less pop cap on all tanks so you can out number the German tanks, just like real life.
The Pershing is waaay to expensive for how weak it is as a "heavy tank"
Pershing b tier?
Ace - the voice of reason
if u got a calliope wheres the sexton
sherman is S tier if you have 57 of them.
A Sherman vet1 with radio net 3 can kill a Pz4 vet3. Having 4 Sherman vet1 go together will destroy everything.
Come on seriously, IS 2 weaker than the perishing come on...
@Expired Milk still it's not a match for the is2
@Expired Milk yeah but in the end it's not about how strong is the weapon as long as it can get the job done, it's about how you use it
I think IS-2 vet 3 is worse than Pershing vet 3... IS-2 might hit harder but misses a lot
117 looks like the guy who did Christchurch
Kv2 was meant to be an artillery defence tank
Stuart S tier? seems like you haven't played USF, It got nerfed quite a while ago and is really useless againts infantry compared to other light vehicles, takes so many shots to kill a light vehicle and overall I think it shouldn't be S tier.
T-70 = S ++
ah yes. 360p squad
And it's good. Just have to give it a minute.
@@GreyshotProductions Thanks
the M10 is S tier REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
No, just stop Rifle.
@@joey6072 no u
@George Rone in all seriousness, well no, viable only in 2v2 1v1 m36 out match all the time
@George Rome if you can pen with them then yea, you have better chance with ost p4, okw p4 is abit questionable but most of the time you will running in to phanter in 4v4 anyway so invest a m36 that can do every better than m10 is more perferable
Shermans s tier lol
Its a pretty versatile tank as it can easily switch from AT to AI and vice versa and its also pretty fast in its own right. The only downside is it can still be destroyed in a one v one by its Axis medium tank counterparts. But its versatility completely more than makes up for its weaknesses
M20
