Probably one of the most challenging and annoying achievements in the game, lots of micro-management is required, but it's done!
Tips: If you haven't been following along with the story and reading tips (and listening to the narrator) spiders target nest tiles when they enter your nest, in other words, they can be baited. Place a bunch of food tiles (as they are cheap) away from the queen, this makes fighting them much easier as they don't gang your queen and nest workers. Make sure you have an army in your nest to defend else they will destroy your workers when they come to terms that they have been trolled by food tiles. You should look at having around 20-25 Melee and around 60 or so spitters. Be sure to upgrade a couple spitters to contend with the crab wave on the final night, the crabs in my opinion are more challenging than the spiders.
Don't waste time making your nest look all pretty (with digging), just clear out what you need and keep tiles as close to your queen as possible.
You need to prioritize killing the larvae, so, build up your forces the first day and night, and from the second day after you have cleared a majority of the undergrowth, get out and start spitting on some larvae. Having two sets of 30 spitters is good as well as a couple workers or melee to avoid having your spitters overrun by tiger beetles. Keep your groups small as having too many ants means more time taken for placing pheromone markers.
Time is limited, available food that you can reach is limited and the amount of time you can spend messing around is limited. Bring your A-game and focus when trying for this achievement. It will drive you mental.

I should have made a note, warning people of a possible seizure!! xd I WAS HELLA HAPPY. When I killed the crab wave I knew I had won. The spiders were just there to celebrate with me HAHA

you think you can get the "raise the alarm" achievement on cold blood? its pretty challenging
I've been working on it, countless attempts already. The biggest issue I'm facing with it is as soon as you get the requirements the Pheidole start sending their super majors and things get rough. I'll get it worked out sometime! I don't have all too much time on my hands with work which is sad! but I'll get it one day!
@@nehimaZAi will tell you my strategy! first i put nest workers into first pheromone marker disable food pick up and attack and dig straight to the nest entrance, then i dig out the black and white larvae bug and leave the workers by the entrance so the grub attacks the queen. then you turn food pick up and attack on and you kill the grub and it shouldnt attack any workers. then collect food get 7 attack ants open up the nest exit and collect from outside aphids. then you try to sneak ants to big head ants aphids try to go in, kill a worker or two at max then turn attack off and get aphids the fire ants should be fast enough. then go get other aphids and good luck!
