crisps, let get that straight. And no it will not 'leech' into the egg, it takes a great deal more time for that ever to happen. That's like saying a plastic container you put in a microwave will
I feel like Mrs B picks better hacks because when she reads a hack online she can tell when they make no sense. Whereas Barry is just like that’s cool let’s try it!
Part of the issue is every one of them I saw was the tendon in the breast, not the fatty bit. I have yet to try it, since my local grocer apparently no longer carries chicken.
PSA: when putting wooden skewers in a heated cooking appliance, soak for AT LEAST 1 hour. Preferably overnight 8-24 hours. So it DOESNT catch on fire. This goes for microwaves, toasters, grills, the oven, the stove, a smoker, microwave toaster/countertop oven etc. If it gets heated, soak the wood kids. Edited for clarification.

All the chicken nuggets I've ever bought, in the US, are all fully cooked. They just need to be heated through. For that, I think the toaster probably would work.
At school a long time ago in home economics we were told to invent a kitchen gadget, I came up with the 'Stick-O-Lard' it was an emptied out glue stick filled with lard! Worked quite for oiling pans, didn't think to try butter.
Cooking and omelet in a bag is a very common thing they do with the kids in Scouts and Guides. They call it "barf in a bag" and the kids love doing it. I have never seen it done with leftover crisps but the technique is pretty solid

The look her face when she said, that’s not cooked Barry! @20:22 She looked looked so concerned and disappointed. It made me laugh, it’s like she was his mum telling him off ha. 😂
Alright, maybe the avocado thing could work if you washed it multiple times and put it in boiling water and then rinsed it out several times again, and you properly also have to discard the top bit if you haven't used it for over half an hour...but yeah, other than that, it sounds pretty good
I do the toaster chicken all the time but with leftover chicken patties at work I bung em in the microwave for about a minute them max the toaster on time . Works great . I also do hash brown patties in there all the time too
A good hack for opening jars is to use a back of a knife and tap it (slightly indenting it depending the quality of the lid) on all notches along the lid and it will twist off so much easier. Do it all the time at work
Poor Mrs. B. LOL The amount of Face palming and eye-rolling is hysterical LOL Also the level of "Please just stop Barry" in her expressions is equally as charming. Still fun to watch. Glad you're safe and well during these trying times. That's an awful lotta Omlete there LOL, but at least that worked (maybe just use a Boil n' bag? LOL)
Here's 3 hacks from my mom's kitchen for you Barry. 1.Any meat that's bloody especially chicken ,most people just wash with water. However it's much better to dissolve some flour in water ,make a soupy concotion or a very runny light batter and dunk your meat in it for a few minutes(usually 5-10 min suffices). Especially if it still has some blood on or in it. It takes away the blood and any smell . After that you wash your meat thoroughly to remove the flour and cook the meat as normal. It does wash the meat somewhat better since you dare not use detergents and flour and blood attract each other though thats just a theory 😬 2. When you want a softer flatbread or any bread without yeast like nan, paratha, roti and all you have is white flour ,bread flour and it's not wholegrain then the best thing to do is heat up some water in a kettle. The flour for kneading is placed in a bowl preferably not glass. Pour some oil into the flour and stir with a fork till you see small clumps form.add the boiled water slowly to the mixture stirring occasionally with the fork till a large clump is eventually formed. Do not touch the flour immediately as its scalding hot and there could be an air bubble or water bubble trapped unless you mixed it very well. Once it gets really difficult with the fork clean it between 2 fingers and let the dough rest for a bit. Then just oil your hands in a few minutes and get kneading . Do not skip oiling .you don't want hot sticky dough on your hands trust me.Don't stop your hands in the dough or you might get scalded although the dough would have cooled by now .Also knead from the edges inward . Do not add the boiled water once you begin hand kneading ,lukewarm is fine here on.keep cold water handy just in case since this is difficult for beginners. You will notice your hands getting a moisturizer treatment at the same time. Knead the rest as normal and use appropriately. The finished product is soft ,however if left exposed to the air hardens very quickly so best served and eaten warm. The purpose of this is hot water interacts with the flour almost cooking it and allowing the gluten to express better and faster. It can also cut down on the kneading time by a lot if done right. 3. Alternatively instead of only water just use some warm milk as well . The flatbreads last longer too.
Mrs B stuffing that lamb mix into the carton reminds me of the Mr Bean scene where he is hiding the pieces of his meal in the sugar jug, in the bread, under the saucer...
Looks like crispbag-omelette is the big winner here! That just looks scrumptious. Armpit-avocado just grossed me out from the very beginning until the very end, oh boy.
12:20 don't use cheap thin glass or sat goodbye to your hands. Use a thick glass. I remember buying cheap glasses out poundland and they were so thin they cracked while I washed them
Okurka except unlike trident which comes from the Latin root for “three”, fork and four are unrelated words. The origin of the word fork comes from the Latin “furca” which describes a split y shape, like a “fork in the road”. The fact that it sounds like “four” is purely coincidental.
ONLY BARRY WOULD PUT AVOCADO IN A DEODORANT CONTAINER! I live in California and we have some of the Craziest, Weirdest things ever but Barry you come up with the MOST AMAZING things!
You can do potato waffles in the toaster from frozen. Cook it on the hottest setting then when it pops up, turn temp down a little and pop it down for one more cook. They come out soft inside with a crunchy outter.
It will ruin your toaster after a while. I had to replace mine because there are oils that coat the inside of the toaster that is impossible to clean. Eventually your toaster will look like Barry's grilled cheese toaster. Maybe if you have those toaster bags then it is better/safer.
Yes Barry you can cook chicken nuggets fish fingers potato waffles and so many things in the toster and all from frozen it’s just an upright grill!! Been using this for years!! Needs a couple of goes down though
as to the nuggets, I don't know about the UK, but in the US a lot, if not MOST chicken nuggets are fully cooked when you purchase them, so cooking isn't a concern, just thawing and heating them, so the toaster hack would probably work just fine.
The chicken hack. You place the tendon in between the times of the fork grab the tendon with a paper towel and pull in one direction while you're pushing in the other direction with the fork and it pulls the tendon out

Also not exactly a hack as if you've got the stove and pan to heat the water, you can make an omelette in a fraction of the time anyway
