We didn’t have much money when I was little but my mum, dad, brother and me loved each other and my mum used to show me how to cook, nothing complicated but I can remember on Saturday afternoons our local fish market would sell off fish that hadn’t sold ,at discount prices and mum was on front line. She loved cod and plaice and her technique for cooking was as follows. 2 tin plates, like you mite use when camping, fill halfway with milk, add pepper and some herbs, put the fish in the milk, the other tin plate on top and then sit that on a pan of boiling water. In essence mum created her own little steamer. She always cooked fish like this and it was delicious and beautifully soft. I’m from U.K. and that’s how we did it back in the 60’s . My mum and dad and brother have all gone now but they live on in my heart. Thankyou for taking the time to read this. Kandy cooking fish with asparagus brought back the memories
Great idea and sweet story....💟💟 Its weird to think back on things like that. We had a milk cow and sometimes my mom would make butter and everyone was there to get it , I hoped they knew how hard she worked on that butter for it to be gone in one evening....bunch of hillbillies so I'm sure they all knew --- that butter was beyond AMAZING -(Kerry Gold is almost as good-almost)

Instead of tomatoes in the feta pasta you could use strips of bell pepper and red onion. Tasty! So its kind of a roasted onion and peppers kind of taste with the creamy feta
Blending the sauce before mixing it with the pasta took the dish to a whole different level. Give it a try

I love feta so much, I'm vegan so I eat the dairy free version with gluten free pasta but I know what you mean about not feeling good afterwards. Meals like that can be quite heavy and also leave you quite constipated 😞 A wheat and dairy free switch do make a difference sometimes. Everything looked delicious though! 💜

@Cynthia Sanchez....I'm curious if it's all vegetables? They all taste different from one another. I love vegetables especially roasted. Then it annoys me in a restaurant when they place a measly piece of vegetable on my plate. Maybe I'm the rare person wanting more than that piece next to my chicken or steak.
I tend to watch longer videos sped up. I kinda forgot about that until you were grating the carrots and I was like Jeez watch your fingers! I really wanna try the first recipe. I've never had olives in a pasta and it sounds delicious.

You need to add garlic to the feta pasta!
Kalamata olives are just a dream food.
Me and asparagus are like two fighting cats. I can't get it right, always to tough to eat.
Snap the woody root ends off...
Try roasting it with some Parmigiano Reggiano sprinkled over it, it's fantastic. Roasting gives it an almost nutty flavor, the tops get nice and crispy, sublime! 400° for about 10 min. 💚
I had the same problem about not getting the asparagus softened enough by baking or boiling. I made them in my instapot and they came out so good and tender!

I would’ve thought the kalamata olives and feta would be salty enough… I have a sensitive taste when it comes to saltiness in foods but it looks delicious
Are the vegetable sold already washed in the US?
If they are sold in a package, not loose in a bin, they usually are pre-washed and ready to use. I've noticed a lot of produce in my local supermarket is pre-packaged now.
No they aren't. Only some precut salad mixes or baby spinach. Everything else you need to wash especially things like asparagus, tomatoes etc things that aren't completely air sealed

I’ve found the feta pasta dish is better when you put a block of feta in the dish, then add your tomatoes around it and then drizzle with oil, salt, garlic; pepper etc, and then fresh basil when it’s done. Then stir the pasta into the feta etc in the same dish it was cooked in rather than pouring the feta concoction into a saucepan, that’s just the way I do it and it’s delicious! 🙂😃
I made this but used spaghetti squash as my pasta and added a little balsamic vinegar to the tomato’s before I baked them🍝, it was very good.
For the fish not getting any flavour in it when cooking, maybe a few hours before cooking or even overnight, marinate the fish in the sauce? Then pour the sauce over it when it’s cooking? That might help the fish soak up some of the flavour and it’ll go through the fish rather then just being in the outside only?
I made this with no yolk egg noodles and extra lean ground turkey. No asparagus or olives,and i loved it.

Those meatballs look so good! Maybe some feta? I know the struggle with veggies. I'm diabetic. I can't really eat many so I stick to the most low carb ones I can find. It gets boring sometimes but 🤷♀️ lol

The only problem I had with the Feta Pasta salad was the Tomato skins falling off and I had to keep picking through the dish the get the skins out. Next time I think I'm going to use bigger Tomatoes and cut them into chucks, so the skin it easier to take off. (Or just take off the skin before roasting LoL). I'm for sure going to make it with the olives next time as well!! I have two jars of them on hand, and didn't even think of putting them in O.O

My TikTok pasta was watery and gross (I suppose because of the tomatoes) I might give it a try blended. Also with the fish all that flavour looked like you could scoop it up and put it on top of the fish? Loved the video:) thanks 😊
For your tummy, Maybe try and use fresh garlic, the jar stuff makes my stomach play up badly but fresh doesn’t

The first recipe I would use mozzarella cheese because I don’t care for feta cheese. I would definitely cook the second recipe and use salmon, the third recipe I am not to sure I would make. It amazes me how you can handle the heat when the food is so very hot. I would have to have a drink right away.👍💜

You could totally rock fake lashes with the new adhesive pens they have now. So easy. Cut lash to size, put adhesive liner on your lid close to your own lash line. Done, and don’t move all day

Look for a Greek market in/around your area. The only way it’s typically sold there is in blocks packed in brine. Generally there are different types and price points. It might be a trip to a bigger city, but at least it could be a plan when you head there if it’s not available locally.
