Jessie is a great co-host, it also enhanced the video quality in my opinion. Her expression was rather genuine and not over-amplified. Instead of the whole video looking at Mikey & food, it's nice to occasionally see Jessie eating. Change of visual-flavour. At least I won't get eye-fatigue from looking at Mikey beginning till end. hahahaha...

Mikey I am so happy to see you went for a Georgian meal! It is indeed amazing food and as you said, very complex. I lived and worked in Georgia way back in 2004 and 2005, and I love going to Georgian restaurants. I miss the place so much and hope to visit once we can travel regularly again. There were also some amazing Georgian restaurants in Brooklyn that are worth going out there for. Let me know if you want some references from some of the ones I've been to. Peace!

Hey Mike. Love the channel. "Artificial banana" is actually the flavor of Gros Michel bananas. They were kind of the main bananas in the world until a fungal infection pretty much wiped almost all of them out. Now we eat Cavendish bananas. But things like banana candy still use the flavor of Gros Michel. That's why they taste different.

Singaporean here. I always get a good chuckle when people in America eat “authentic” Singapore noodles. Like, what even is that? Looks like some Frankenstein version of Satay bak chor...Hokkien mee?
you have to remember this is restaurant in an area of NYC that does not really have any Asian communities/population. which is why he keeps emphasizing 166th street. this is in Washington Heights, where it is mainly African American, Caribbean, Hispanic communities. If he went to a Singaporean place in an Asian area, of course it would be more authentic. I am happy to see something like this introduced to areas where there aren't many Asian food options to begin with

I'm an intermittent faster and had to make a new rule that I can only watch Mikey Chen videos during my eating window.
I do 22/2 and I can watch him anytime as he gives me ideas for my 2 hour eating window. He's taught me to eat noodles even in Ramen soup using chopsticks, love it.

Can't wait to try your hot oil being from the UK it can be hard to find certain Asian ingredients but I recently found an Asian bakery near my home and was introduced to Pandan cake and the best egg tarts I have ever tried thanks for the videos on this channel and Strictly Dumpling especially the Japanese videos

Im sure your viewers would appreciate your efforts also in recycling and you can definitely influence a lot of people to do the same. @@liyahxjaslene9030 From what I remember and based on what he said in his promotion for Fetch, he has a team working behind him editing the videos and creating the thumbnail. His team consists (consisted?) of Brenda (the girl in the Dallas videos), Jennifer (last seen in his Pakistan series), Jasmina (I think the last video she appeared in is his video of a buffet in Bali), and Ben (the tall Asian guy who last appeared in the Japan series and who did Hello Fresh promos for Mikey while he was in South Korea). Based on what I remember from his videos, I think Brenda, Jennifer, and Jasmina are his editors (if he doesn't edit his own videos), but I don't know if Jasmina is still working for him.

OMG !!! As a Singaporean , never see a meepok with Satay sauce in my 50 years living in Singapore 🇸🇬. We have a dish call satay bee hoon consists of peanut sauce on top of cuttlefish, kangkong vegetable, bean sprouts,Tao pok, slices of pork , prawns and even clam in it. Very different from what Mikey ate and presented.
