Tenor Part (0:42)
End (4:22)
We are inviting individual singers and choirs around the world to sing in a virtual worldwide choir. UA-cam star Peter Hollens and his wife Evynne have teamed up with us to record videos for four individual singing parts (soprano, alto, tenor, bass.) For more information go to www.mormon.org/easter/halleluj.... Use #Hallelujah to tag your posts.
Entries will be accepted through Tuesday, March 1, 2016. The final virtual choir video will be released on Sunday, March 13, 2016.
Ok, it’s official. Tenor is my favorite part in this piece. How beautiful!
Wonderful natural tenor who can sings the highest note without the appropriate technique ! The kind of single voice out of 10 000 ... lucky you !
Is there a better voice than other? I would like to understand!
This guy's energy..man...after this choral I start breathing like I ran an endless lapped marathon 😂😂
I was part of the Tenor group in Choir during the youth days. And how joyfully we sang that song in the church in front of all the people was an immense joy. Now as i try to sing the same song, my voice can't sustain it.
I LOVE Peter's animated facial expressions and enthusiasm.. superb diction / enunciation. This would be a great learning tool for those who are learning this for the 1st time.. wish I had something like this in H.S.
What a powerful voice! Beautiful smooth tenor voice!! I'm alto singer but really love hearing tenors so much. Thanks for the upload.
"and he shall reign forever and ever" it really hits me there😅
Proud to know that i'm Tenor.
i just know now.
thanks. i can join College Choir now.
This has helped me a huge amount! I'm a tenor and this has made everything so much easier! Thank you!
How beautiful!
Handel was showing off with this piece, range and all, nothing was off limits 😂and I’m here for it❤
I so wanted to be able to contribute a tenor part to this magnificent project, but God Bless you all ... the REAL tenors who can REALLY sing in upper ranges! The tenor part is just too tiring for this old voice! :)
God bless you! Best regards from Brazil!
Lol
I am SO in!! THIS IS AMAZING.
Muy bueno muchas gracias ya me lo eprendi mejor!!!♥
LIndo !! Ótimo para estudo. Parabens!!
I love Peter and his wife so much! I want to hear their demo played together!
I sang in an all girl’s choir in high school and was 3d voice; a Contralto. Now I know the part they taught us was actually the Tenor’s voice 😄. Wonderful job singing it 👏👏👏
HE KNOW HIS PART!!!🙌🙏
Great work,Bravo Peter and de entire choir.
3:10 - 3:15 kills me! 😍😍😍😍 best part
hardest part ever lol i don't know how we managed to sing this from memory this weekend... also saw the cut at 3:48... lol
Not just the cut, but Peter repeated the same notes for "of" as the measure before. It's always been a section I paid close attention to because it's a "gotcha" measure, like the skip of octaves in the middle or the rest at the end.
But this was a great tenor performance! I wish he was standing next to me this Easter at church when we will sing it. I once had a nine-year stretch where I sang it every year. It never gets old.
Thanks for the virtual choir
I forgot how hard this song actually is lol
Rsssss Really hard!
It really is not
😂😅😅😅😅😅 so true very hard with twist and turns.
I like that song
AMAZING JOB! Was so fun to sing along to as a soprano trying to keep my part and blend well at the same time! Thank you for this wonderful upload ❤️❤️
U r an awesome tenor singer.
BRAVO!!!!!! Peter Hollen!!!!!!!!!!!
AWESOME!!
Beautiful Song, what the God the Bless! Amén.
Thank you
First of all I would like to congratulate the responsibles for this magnificient idea. As an old member of the Church of Jesuschrist of Latter Day Saints, I have had a great daydream: to sing with the Tabernacle Choir. I have always known that it could not be possible for me, at least! When I heard that we might have this possibility I felt really blessed... my daydream could come true ! Then, I had a difficulty... I've got a cold and cough. But I decided to overcome that and record the video. It was not my best, but I made my daydream come true..., finally. Prepare your ears...! THANKS !
Thank you so much, wonderful voice and extremely helpful , Pluis from Ibiza Spain
7 years ago and this is helpful. I recently joined a choir that sings this beautiful chorus .
Brilliant (it is a very very Very Hard Song 🎵 to sing especially for Saprano,s Beautifully Perfectly Sung by Your Choir & Orchestra 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Am so excited, I'll be doing the tenor for December 1st, cant wait.
My school choirs sing this every winter concert, and i always am in tenor, and i personally love tenor
i learned tenor because of you thankyou
thank you so much for this video, very helpful
Thanks for this-I had two hours to learn this part!
Beautifull sing, God be whit you! Congrtatulationes...Amén.
beautiful voice
This is wonderful I really want to sing like this God give me a good voice like this
I’m bari, but I enjoy singing the tenor part. Really exercises my voice!
This is so helpful!
Beautiful inviting a sing a God, for the choir.
Que lindo el tenor ❤️❤️❤️
Excellent, merci pour votre aide précieuse.
I sang bass part for this song. I know it in the back of my head. For a newbie, it’s a hard song. Once you learn the part your singing, you can memorize it quicker. With me, I learned it in one day and I can sing the bass with confidence
i have to learn it in like 3 hours lol
Lindíssimo ❣👏🥰🤩
Really great tenor !!! need more ... Pleeeeease !!!
I’m a bass, and striving to be a baritone just so I could sing these amazing tenor notes without going into falsetto
Thank you for reminding me of my part. It was great
thanks for song tenor,
Hallelujah from Beethoven tenor please
I can't say anything! Bravo!
Ayos!
Woooow!! amazing! Well well done!!! Congratulations to you, so powerful and beautifully rendered. I'd loved this song again, can we get all the other parts also? Please 🙏🙏🙏😂😅😂😂
Sang this almost 50 years years ago. It's still in there.
Haendel 4 ever
This guy is f***ing celestial and brilliant. This is SOOOOOO difficult!
No it's not.
Sensacional!!! Emocionante!!!
What is this? Wonderful voice man. God bless you.
im normal alto or tenor for songs in my high school choir but this song is really hard wish I found out a month or so before that this was happening and i'd be a pro at this song. lol. Can't wait for the video
Peter Hollen, his wife does the soprano
The power of baritone
Lovely tenor 4life
Frumos
Delighted.
nice
Do you have this transposed to Bass clef? As a lifelong trombone player, my brain has never been good at treble clef.
Hey I might be able to sing it high school
Cool
anyone else have born in Panguitch Ut in 1800's James Reese Evans was mine
I used to sing this as a Soprano, but as I've gotten older my voice has deepened. If I ever have the honor of singing in a choir again I'd probably sing Alto or Tenor.
I was a soprano singing this in college, too… Now I sing tenor whenever I have the opportunity to participate in a community Handel's messiah.. super fun to sing compared to soprano, which was fun in a different way
Just wow
watch the "endeavour" instead of and ever ....
I can pull off the tenor part easily now that my progress as a tenor (formerly baritone) has been made with an ability to sing both falsetto and mixed voice (modal voice) those high notes and high lines. However I feel like singing more in my full voice the high notes and high lines when it's forte and pure head voice (no falsetto) when it's piano unless I am singing an extremely high note that is beyond the tenor high C.
Eventhough my tenor part is writing in F clef, it is possible for me to read it in the G clef too. I like it!
Wow 😲amazing
Hallelujah 🙏🙏 hallelujah 🙏🙏 helleluja
0:40 - 2:36
lol he still makes a couple mistakes(the most common ones i hear from my own tenor section too) i think he sings forever and ever and ever rather than forever forever and ever...he also goes up on the second king of kings but im pretty sure the of stays the same(it's the only one that doesnt go up of the four)
Killers G everywhere xD
I'm baritone but I can't sing high so I'm just gonna stick with bass
I'm a countertenor with a pretty undeveloped range, so my set of comfortable notes is like a middle C to a G4. For the most part, this is right in the comfort zone, though actual tenors probably hate this song for its range.
0:40
i would've loved to join this!! Please inform me when you do the next song.
Is it just me or Mr. Wilberg is a few milliseconds behind on his conducting?
I've been looking at his direction, but I noticed the cutoffs are way off, well, not to mention the rhythm as well.
probably audio sync
Paul Erland I found it very difficult to follow the conducting
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia
🙏🙏🙏🙏
I have my concert tomorrow so I’m using this cause I know nothing
I’m a tenor in chorus and I have to sing this I’m practicing
Same
Grandiosa experiencia lastima!!! no saber usar la voz de cabeza para llegar a esas notas.
Se puede lograr con dedicacion y mucha practica
Man I wish I was a Tenor.
I'm stuck as a Baritone
Pierre Odendaal when i was 13 i said i wish I could be a tenor and guess what my wish came true when i was like 16 ha. A baritone could sing tenor but a natural born tenor can’t really sing baritone that easily so in a way you’re lucky because that means you could probably do bass as well as tenor with proper training
Ha!!! Das ist aber sowas von Großartig. Wenn ich einen Schuß Begeisterung brauche, mache ich mir in Zukunft diese Musik hier an.
Practice makes perfect. But still I can’t. I can perfect the ending alleluia though in bass. 😂
Tenor imperat
lol this voice
Try naming the song correctly!!!!! It's the "Halellujah Chorus!"
You are 100 times better than Justin Bieber
peter hollens's mixes are more buried in the choral mixes. i can hear his wife more over the choir.
