The Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, Bells on Temple Square, and Band of the United States Air Force Reserve perform the "Carol of the Bells" by Mykola Leontovych arranged by Barlow Bradford.
Lyrics:
Hark! How the bells,
Sweet silver bells,
All seem to say,
Throw cares away.
Christmas is here, (ding)
Bringing good cheer (dong)
To young and old, (ding)
Meek and the bold. (dong)
Ding, dong, ding, dong (ding)
That is their song, (dong)
With joyful ring (ding)
All caroling. (dong)
One seems to hear (ding)
Words of good cheer (dong)
From ev'rywhere, (ding)
Filling the air, (dong)
O, how they pound, (ding)
Raising the sound, (dong)
O'er hill and dale (ding)
Telling their tale. (dong)
Oh, how happy are their tones!
Gayly they ring
While people sing
Songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here!
Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas,
(Ding, dong, ding, dong, ding, dong, ding, dong)
Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas.
(Ding, dong, ding, dong, ding, dong, ding, dong)
On, on they send, (ding)
On without end, (dong)
Their joyful tone (ding)
To ev'ry home. (dong)
Hark! How the bells,
Sweet silver bells,
All seem to say
Throw cares away.
Christmas is here, (ding)
Bringing good cheer, (dong)
To young and old, (ding)

I bet this sounds absolutely awesome in real life!
I absolutley hate the tempo at which the sing Carol of the Bells. It's sounds too fast and I actually like to be able to understand the lyrics.
Yep :3
Goosebumps the size of Everest for sure...
Yesss. I really want to see this live
it does. you can feel the organ itself.
The speed at which they sing, it's amazing.
And how it goes into crescendo before the "merry merry Christmas" part just feels so powerful! Truly one of the best.
And decrescendo
i always trip over my tongue if i try to sing too fast, so i could never be an actual singer, but its still fun to sing along for fun. :P

I come here every year, Christmas season.
Season?
theBigFatFit same hereeee !!
Come back at Easter. It's much quieter!
Where is this held
Christian music has always been fantastic.
Just when I think humanity is done and dusted,Christmas comes and I play this.I'm reminded how harmonious people can be ,makes my eyes water every time I hear it.
He has Risen!
😂😂😂😂😂 "... done and dusted"
I'm not religious. Im not a "Christmas person." But I'm also not an idiot. This song is timeless.
You can still appreciate art, even if you don't agree with why it was created
The music was written by Ukrainian composer about a century ago.
But the lyrics are much more older, from pre Christianic times.
The Ukrainian text welcomes new year which comes in spring. The text is about a swallow that comes to household, calling for the owners, wellcoming them, and telling them that new sheeps are born, that he will be prosperous etc etc. Like wishing him a new good and wealthy year. And that was celebrated in early spring.
haha, same here. I actually don't like Christmas but some Christmas songs are bangers. This one being at the top.
It's my favourite. Very good spirit about it. Very warming and positive feel.
I'm not religious, stout anti-religious even. But man do I love Christmas!
Who is in 2024 😊❤🌲
Good music taste brought me here.
It was certainly awesome and glorious.

@@user-vl6pe3up4r but you're not wrong
this has got to be one of the best choirs I've ever heard sing, just the majesty of such a choir leaves me in awe every time. Good job mormons on the tabernacle choir :)

It's not even Christmas, and it's April, but I love listening to Christmas songs. 😂😂😂
0:41 I'm a bass trombonist; the look on his face just says it all!
I saw him and felt his pain! I'm a percussionist. Like you, I sometimes am counting all those measures of rest, then need to come back in at just the right time!
I'm a Tenor Trombonist. I feel the pain.
my depression brought me here

Johannes Lücker Let this glorious music lift your spirit and know that you are being prayed for. And loved unconditionally.

The US Air Force Band did a magnificent job, as did the Choir.
Always favourite Christmas and Christmas songs
Best carol of the bells version I've heard so far
I work with 2 11 year old Ukrainian refugees who have just sung this for me in Ukrainian. It brought a tear to my eye 🥰
thats amazing! do you think would be able to get a recording of them singing it? i would love to hear someone singing a song that came from their culture in its original languange.
It’s originally Ukrainian song, so it’s so important and proudly for any Ukrainian to sing it. Much love for you guys ❤
Everyone’s talking about the singing but the orchestra!! They are going extremely quick and all I keep thinking about is how fast those wind players are playing 😂😂
Merry Christmas everyone
To you as well❤
Right back at ya.
So heartwarming that this is a beloved Christmas song across the globe, by our Ukrainian composer, Mykola Leontovych. It is based on a Ukrainian folk song ❤
It's one of my favorite songs period, christmas and otherwise. Such a timeless classic. Much love to Ukraine from the USA!
I am a Muslim and i like this music ❤
I’m a Muslim and I sang this song in choir 😂
I am not Muslim, but I think the"Call to Prayer" is beautiful and quite moving

Українські діти завжди співають цю пісню на Різдво💛💙
Who is here on Dec 25 2020
I proud of our favorite Ukrainian song in this performance. For those who did not know, this is an original song from Ukraine
I did not know that. Thank you. I am British. It is my favourite Christmas carol.
Probably the only Christmas song I’m okay with hearing outside of December
Hello from Brazil ⛄🎄🇧🇷
Tears run down my face currently listening to this utterly magical beautiful festive carol. This Christmas will be very different for many of us. Up until last week I was to travel home to see family for the days of Christmas we were allowed, until the new strain of the coronavirus started spreading drastically here in the UK and the government essentially cancelled Christmas. This will be my first Christmas alone and it saddens me so much.
Wish you this year's Christmas will be back to normal.
I don't know why this song moves me so much and I want to cry every time I listen to it 😭 beautifull!
It's beautiful
So glad to hear that people, no matter their religious stance, enjoyed our beautiful choir singing! From a Latter-Day Saint aka Mormon
Porguin the Turtle I have no religion at all. This is a beautiful moving wonderful thing.
Christmas day 2023❤ amazing
i’m a small girls choir. we’re only around 80 people and we’re all under 18. we sing this song every year as a tradition. due to corona we can’t practice and the serotonin this just gave me is unbelievable. truly amazing. i feel like i listen to this every month at least once
This is THE perfect version of Carol of the Bells. Tears literally streaming down my face.
From Ukraine 🇺🇦 with love !
The song is so cheerful, full of life and hope! Merry Christmas from Romania!
This gave me the chills in the finale
Merry Christmas from Tokyo in Japan
This overwhelming powerful performance will penetrate into my soul and reach the Lord
Woah your Japanese that’s so cool I know this comment is three years old but I hope you have a merry Christmas this year may Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father be with you my brother over seas!
Still the best Carol of the Bells.
it's beautiful 🇬🇧👏👏👏
To me the Mormon tabernacle choir ( nowadays called the Tabernacle choir) is the BEST choir in the world , just wondeful , I just love it so much , especially their Christmas songs and Hymns !!
Anyone else notice and love that the air force band is playing the music!♡♡♡♡
Cutie salt are you sure? I've never known anyone but the "orchestra at Temple Square" to play with the choir
+Jonathan Moran definitely Air Force pause on one of them the symbol is right on the side of their jackets
Often times they have guest musicians
Take a look at the sleeves: those are enlisted insignia... Air Force veteran here.
I'm not religious nor is it Christmas but the way this song manages to give off the most eerie yet joyful vibe is so interesting to me.
It's such a dramatic song and it's perfect for ending 2020
Grew up Roman Catholic, sang in a choir for years.
This choir is just.....perfection.
Wow. And my favorite carol.
No religion is needed to be moved to tears by this. Such an incredible performance. It must have been mind blowing to be at that concert.
Enjoying again in 2023 and beyond. Countless thanks and blessings for sharing with us all. 👍👍 10🌟🎄
Omg I'm n tears.... heavenly... let god bless each an everyone singing and those who r in background and musicians....
Probably the greatest Christmas song ever written.😊 And the happiest of New Years TO US ALL!!!
this song hits a different way this month of the year.
I appreciate all these people of different religions and cultures saying how beautiful and amazing this choir is!!!
I love how the bell ringers/percussionists are having the time of their lives. Also, this version of live performance is the only one I can find with actual bells and I love that. Haha.
My greetings from Ukraine. Bravo-LLC! Grandiose, unsurpassed. Strong power! Super performance and show are art. Well done to everyone - from the organizers and screenwriters to the cast implementation and chorus. And I'm proud to be Ukrainian, because the author and composer of this world-class work is Ukrainian Mykola Leontovych. The whole world knows this carol.
Everytime I hear this song I always think of a certain famous movie character running to his house and saying:
"This is my house, I have to defend it!"
Glory to God! A Dio, tutta la gloria, piena gloria, nei secoli dei secoli! Amen! Amore mio, Gesù!
I'm not religious at all but this gives me goosebumps
this song combines eerie tension with a welcoming reverence perfect for Christmas
a Honor to Sing with this Choir 🎄⭐️🙏
my throat literally hurts from choking back tears
Truly a national treasure! Wow.
Sumptuously! This is our Ukrainian Christmas song "Shchedryk"
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
It’s like they fit every Christmas feeling into one song! That’s why I love Carol of the bells!
I like this with the bell choir. And with the choir all in red. Spectacular. One of my favorite carols, which I've sung many times.
Carol of the Bells is my favorite Christmas song. Also I love bell choirs. My choir teacher in elementary school had a regular choir and a bell choir. I always wished I had put in the effort to be apart of the bell choir in addition to being in the choir. I loved to listen to the bell choir preform before or after us. Sometimes we even worked together.
I grew up in a Presbyterian church and we had choir and bells every year for Christmas. This feels so comforting hearing this... I also miss the old Coca Cola commercials. What a glorious sound!!
Happy Celebrate Christmast during Pandemic
Heal The World
Oh wow one of my favorite Christmas songs so absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤ I have goosebumps😅
I keep listening to this song! It won’t leave my mind! The urgency of the Second Coming is loud and clear like ringing bells!
My mom & I would go Christmas shopping and play this (every version) in the car. I miss her terribly espically this time yr.
So sorry for your loss❤
I can HEAR the choir director SCREAMING the words ENUNCIATE!!!
I haven’t been to heaven but with this, I have the clue how the angels 👼 do.
As a non religious person. This is magic
Finally an appropriate time to listen
This is my all time favorite Christmas song and my all time favorite rendition of it. I don't think anyone can perform this song better.
When I first listened to this it literally brought tears to my eyes. This is the most magnificent rendition of this song I have ever heard. Many thanks to this choir for their beautiful, uplifting performance. I wish I could have seen this in person. Love and peace to everyone ❤
Яке ж чудове виконання!!!! Я в захваті!! Дякую Вам!!!!!!!
Not me getting Christmas vibe in the middle of May😹
Greatest Choir.
Those melodious voices hit me hard and now I'm crying

No one does Christmas like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!
This is so impressive. Not to mention it makes me miss grade school choir
How on earth do they sing so fast.....and still enunciate every word perfectly? Astounding.
