- Recently while I was building the Magic Items database, I found out together with my chatters that there have been several inconsistencies regarding items. You'll be surprised there're plenty of items that do not work as described in the game, such as Glowing Wand and Necklace of Durance (NoD).

doesn't glowing wand's damage bonus work all magic DMG? like if Baxia applies it with his ult, then the enemy will take additional damage from Vengeance.
Genius wand already reducing enemy magic defense means more dmg from vengeance, so Joy is definitely applying more dmg when she equips it with vengeance
It mean moonton can reduce vengeance damage increase damage reduction
It's work, stack from skills, it's not trigger but damage up... Glowing + cursed + vengeance it's great damage if you can stack it (belerick, silvana, baxia) fy last patch... Twilight armor also was good, now it's again useless item
They should write heroes' skills instead of any skills just to avoid confusion and inconsistency.

You see… they said “skills” in the description and we call battle spells as “an extra skill” but unfortunately, Moonton doesn’t count it in as “skill” damage. it counts seperately than skills and basic attacks… i feel like battel spell has its own type
@@rubyorb8450 I believe battle spell is a separate part but they are not consistent. Genius wand effect can be done by any spell while others don't. They should make it more specific and clear.
@@rubyorb8450 Yeah, you're right, since Battle Spells and Emblem Talents are not considered as "Skills" per say... The only problem is it wasn't consistent with Ice Queen Wand, since the trigger condition was also "Skills", and they triggered Ice Queen Wand. 🙁

It’s not that surprising how inconsistent they are with their descriptions.. especially with some things that aren’t supposed to work, but do, like current Pull Yourself Together can reduce the cooldowns of item’s active skills.. hopefully this’ll bring attention to them to fix these or give a more better explanation to certain descriptions
interestingly, the "reduces active item cooldown" feature is explicitly stated in the advance server. 🤔
@@ralfian0234 i guess they now just realized it, so finally states it in adv server while others probably don’t know cuz its never stated in the description in original server, so in the end its pretty much a nerf with the removed respawn timer reduction

War Axe is also inconsistent because it says attacks give stack but how it really works is that the stack increments on its own when you start attacking essentially requiring a full 8 seconds to max stack.
I remember it saying "This increases ... each second for 3s" before, why did they make it more confusing??
Yeah War Axe is kinda a funny item because it's the only one that has ICD on the stacks
its tricky on some heros, take example of kimmy if you allow it to be stacked per attack it will be nightmare item on heros with short dmg intervals.

Moonton should have just said "Increase atk and pen by X amount every second. Stacks up to 8 times. Lose all stacks if no damage is dealt within X seconds"

Ice Queen Wand with vengeance is such an interesting combo to run away. Baxia vengeance can be such a menace.

TBF its states that skill can trigger it so it make sense that spells are unable to trigger lightning truncheon and calamity reaper unique passive, but ice queen's passive being able to trigger by certain spells is rather surprising

U can triggered lightning trucheon using basic attack, after you recall (lol) 😜
I noticed on using Gloo that, if you deal magic damage from Gloo ultimate split,split form, it does not trigger glowing wand as well. Same goes for passive effect like Cursed Helmet.
The description on glowing wand should be, only when actively using a skill/basic attack with magic damage.

After using gloo ult when i want to chose a hero that was about to die
The Game thinks i am on the dead target and ignore my real position and i had to check my location in the mini map xd it is still a bug they couldn't fix it

BTW, please don't harass the Dev Team over this - game balancing and bug fixing are both really difficult and time consuming endeavors. So please be understanding as they try to make the game better for us 🙏🙏
these bugs are consistent since the beginning of season 1 and many bugs are repeatedly reported in-game and through their forums, they will EVENTUALLY be resolved a few seasons later down the line, dont worry :). Testing of skills/items/emblems after every patch is every players responsibility.
Some skill descriptions from heroes are or were not correct. For instance for Pharsa before the revamp, the skill "Wings by wings" had an incorrect description like "Pharsa turns into a mist during 30 seconds" and in reality it was 5 seconds.
I even triend concentrated energy to belerick since beleric thorns is magic damge. It didnt worked

It's been a long time already, they aren't focusing too much on improving of the game mechanics. They always prioritize the UI and releasing skins but not the game arena itself. It shouldn't be an excuse of not improving the game, even if there's no one complains about it.

There seems to inconsistencies in CD reduction as well and shows 45% CD even before I have finished building Enchanted Talisman on my mages.

Tough Boots effect doesn't work on every type of CC. Specifically it doesn't affect knock-ups and surpress effects from what I know.
I'm not sure how to express the distance in ML terms, but the aura of Dominance Ice is not too big to make it OP, but also not too small that you need to literally be kissing the enemy 🤣
I've not tested the Angela and Floryn ult interactions in Yin's Ult, but my expectation is that it doesn't work.
The 10% Buff to Heal effects from the Support Emblem does buff Estes Heal to allies, so I'm expecting it works on other Heroes that have Heal abiltiies too. Not sure about Lifesteal effects tho as I haven't tested that. 🤔
they dont even write the passive of gatokacha properly, like how much heal, damage for each rage etc.

Well Necklace of Durance is still a good item, since Dominance Ice still requires you to close the distance, so don't give up on it entirely. It only doesn't work with some of stuff shown in the video!

there's also another inconsistency with Zhask's spawn (1st skill) they said it's treated as a basic attack yet it doesn't trigger atk speed item passives (corrosion scythe, feather of heaven, demon hunter sword), it only ever triggers on Zhask's auto attacks
I wonder how those items interact with Popol too. From what I know stuff like Cursed Helmet and Endless Battle works on Kupa
@@RubyRubyRubyGamingthe true dmg of endless dmg can be applied twice by both popol's auto atk after using kupa and kupa himself (1st skill then auto atk each applying the true dmg two times, basically proccing the passive twice in a row, I think this is a bug-- as endless battle stated having a 1.5 sec cd) however kupa attacks will not apply lifesteal since it's a skill, as for the cursed helmet the wolf also gets a mini cursed helmet passive n the dmg scales with his hp, popol also gets cursed helmet passive
I remembered there was a buff update last year on Anti-lifesteal items (durance and halberd) that the anti-lifesteal passive can be be triggered by item passives and battle spells. But they removed it because it was too OP. The anti-lifesteal lasted longer on Glowing wand and Valir.
Also Spellvamp USED to be triggered by item passives from Glowing wand, Cursed helmet, molten essence, etc. But they removed it too

Yeah, Im not sure when it happened, but Lightning Truncheon used to work with Flameshot.
Another thing, like the recall at the end of the video, is that Regen used to count as a skill towards Endless, Calamity, and Thunderbelt. But I noticed a a few patches ago it no longer works. I used to utilize regen as a proc for Thunderbelt when my skills were in CD as a Tank, it helped in some small situations once in a blue moon.

You have to fully cast the recall to trigger Thunder Belt's passive. Not fully casting it cannot trigger TB.
if tapping recall counted as casting a skill, you'll see people using brute force breastplate recalling all the time 🤣

Idk when but moontoon made a shadow nerf to spells, where they wouldn't count towards activation of passive like Eldless, Calamity and Thunderbelt, else it was too easy to spam em, with you skills and spells (even the regen spell). But in the process things like Glowing and LT didn't trigger as well, I had made a bug report when I noticed and they said they'd look into it but nothing happened lol.
But IQW and Genius still triggers so like... Idk moontoon is just too busy with skins ig.
And this is the problem We have as players (at least for me) are these Shadow Nerfs and Lack of Transparency Reason why certain Items/spells are Unpopular because they don't Work

glowing wand used to work with physical skills and vengeance, i used to abuse these in creation camp but after some patch happened, it doesnt work anymore because now its exclusively for magic damage heroes, also flameshot doesnt trigger any items except ice queen wand for some reason
Yeah they probably altered the code for those items, but missed out some stuff 😄
Since we are talking about items. How does blade crit reduction work and does it work against all damage that has the crit indicator?
I haven't got to testing it so I can't say for sure yet. But there have been theories put forward to me that the reduction is on the total crit damage %, and not the final damage output, which seems credible enough.
If completed recall counts as a skill would arrival work the same as well?🤔

Cursed helmet vengense and glowing wand stacks, I play bax and hi do great damage... How it's work? Yes cursed don't trigger glowing, but if you stack glowing your skills, it's up your damage from cursed and vengeance (bax, belerick, silvanna can do great damage) yea, 20 damage, but if you trigger it 4-5 times in 1 sec, it's good for 1 item. .. Forgot! Carmilla can up all source of damage + roum passive on damage work great (if someone trigger, all in circle take a lot of damage)
All good suggestions since now Glowing does increase Magic Damage per hit which is great for multi-hit damage abilities such as vengeance and cursed 👍 as long as you can afford the slot to a damage item, it's nice to have

@@jerrythecat2 I've not done any testing on Kimmy recently, so take this with a grain of salt and test it if you need to. I'd recommend Genius Wand as the first item as the flat Penetration it gives is really strong in the early stages. 😄

So I was a BIG Hylos clown as I had buyed Glowing wand beacsue it is my fav item but also because I was forced to go EXP lane by a "Layla Tank" WHICH WASN'T TANK BUILDING

So I was testing some thing with swift crossbow and a physical hero with cursed helm
My hero started doing basic attacks with the extra 40 magic atk to a buff prolly because Cursed Helm dealt dmg first. Could you please check if this is true? (I dont have a device and I played on another's phone)
I tried it, and it didn't give my MM Magic Damage by equipping Cursed Helmet it seems. Nice idea tho

@@Valome_Virtual_Gravedigger So I just tested this you can control Swift Crossbow's damage type according to your Hero's extra Physical Attack or Magic Power stat. Swift Crossbow's extra damage will do Physical Damage if your extra Physical Attack is higher than Magic Power, or Magic Damage if your Magic Power is higher Physical Attack.
I like your detailed test on these items. Can you do the revamped twilight armour if you have the time?

Have you researched about how these items work with Belerick's passive? Some passives in the game is considered a skill by the game like example Karrie's passive has more spell vamp ratio than physical lifesteal ratio
I haven't really went in-depth into Belerick's passive, so I can't say that I have unfortunately.
I believe most passive works like skills and only those that work like basic attacks have them being specifically stated
Idk about Karrie's true dmg (or Karina and Gord if that also works similarly )
I hope that one of the devs watch this, so that they can fix this item's effect.

There is an inconsistency in Zilong's ult description as well. It clearly states it provides slow immunity but guess what Dominance Ice's passive can not be immuned. Also it says it removes all slows upon casting but nope it still can't remove it
"slow" means movement speed reduction

I'm curious to know what type of build you would use for Argus, he's an underappreciated hero and there's practically no content on him, having someone test items on him to identify the best build would be amazing.
I honestly don't play Argus a lot, or have done any research into him so I unfortunately I'm not confident to give you solid advice on him... 😥
You can check out @StrongwillGameTheory , I think he did an Argus in-depth build tutorial just 2 months back!
There's is no best hero or best build in ML, your itemization or building path(which items to rush first, for eg if enemy rush defenses its obvious enough to buy Penetration ASAP as a dmg dealer). So some people just have to stop using by heart system builds. Your HERO or ITEM'S impactfulness will always depend according to how you adjust regarding the situation (enemy's hero picks, tracking their item builds and adjust that simple).
What im trying to say is that actually there are no best builds for each and every heroes which can be applied and work EVERY GAME. So the best build for each hero is to decide "what item I should get first? If he buys that, lemme get this item soon... "
ADAPTING TO SITUATION
personally, just build crit-atkspeed.
I've seen many argus build the corrosion-golden-demon, but it takes too long for them to be impactful with this build path, probably around 10-12 mins. Going fury+scarlett or talker+scarlett allows argus to deal massive burst damage even at just 8mins in the game.
The hardest argus players to deal with are those that abuse their immortality to keep pressuring the sidelanes. With his immortality, it is practically impossible for a single hero to take him on 1v1, especially if Argus has max damage build. it usually forces the enemy team to commit at least 2 heroes if they want to stop Argus. This gameplan by Argus used to be more manageable as a defender when his ult was more than 40 seconds, but for some inexplicable reason, moonton buffed Argus' ult cd to just 30 seconds at max level, as if buffing his grapple skill with an extra dash wasn't enough already.
Thus the best strategy for argus is to:
-keep aggressing the sidelane
-aggro the enemy team to you
-waste their time with your immortality, possibly even kill 1 or 2 enemies
-escaping with your bullshit double dash skill
-hide in the jungle (maybe even take 1 neutral creep) for 20 seconds
-go back to aggressing side lane
- by the time the enemies has come to try and kill you again, your ult is already back up.
-rinse and repeat
if only argus gameplay wasn't so braindead, he'd surely become meta.
Have you tried with Battle spell arrival and Twilight armour's passive?

So Glowing Wand's passive should state, _when dealing magic dmg with skills,_ I suppose. I actually already knew and was disappointed by the Glowing Wand passive not getting triggered by Cursed Helmet. I discovered with when trying to use both items with Hylos to see how well it works. Ofc Glowing wamd doesn't trigger itself, since that would be OP LOL.
I have a question, however: does Corrosion Scythe also trigger Glowing Wand's passive along with Feather of Heaven amd Swift Crossbow?
Yeah, but by stating that, they're also omitting Glowing Wand being able to work with Feather of Heaven/Swift Crossbow since those are Item Effects too, and not skills. 🤣 Which is why I can sympathize with Moonton trying to balance all of these things.
Corrosion Scythe should not trigger Glowing Wand since the passive effect specifically deals extra Physical Damage. Feather of Heaven specifically deals extra Magic Damage, while Swift Crossbow has extra "Adaptive Damage" which depends on the type of hero you use it with.
Anyways,I just tested if Corrosion Scythe would trigger Glowing Wand and can confirm it didn't trigger.

Hey Ruby may i know what is your take about the tons of DASHES/BLINKS skills in MLBB such as those OP ones (Arlott & Joy), Dash on Mages, and the "give that hero a lame dash because of player issue" (Lapu Lapu)
Well, defo heroes with dashes that have low or even no cooldown have to be balanced somewhat.
In the case of Arlott and Joy... Arlott is in the realms of OP right now due to his high base damage which allows him to abuse building full tank while still maintaining high damage, along with multiple dashes, while still having a high impact large AOE CC and displacement skill. He definitely will be hit by the nerf hammer, but the question is how much and when... It might take more than 1 nerf to make him balanced.
As for Joy... well she has been nerfed a couple of times now, I feel she's OK and not too crazy in her current state. Pretty balanced I would say. She may have many dashes, but they're still conditional to having a target, or Skill 1, to refresh cooldown. And at least they nerfed it to 4 dashes now instead of the 5 before. They nerfed her shield activation as well so she isn't as survivable as before, so you can't just build whatever nowadays and not be punished, unlike Arlott who can abuse full tank build.
IMO Lapu-Lapu despite not having a low cooldown dash skill, has a low cooldown ultimate which balances that weakness out. He can cast his ult twice in a single teamfight provided the fight was prolonged enough.
All in all tho, dash skills have and always will be a big contributing factor to whether a hero can stay in meta or not. Heroes with access to high mobility usually find it easier to remain in meta, especially XP laners who have to rotate alot.
I'm not sure if I answered your question tho, sorry for rambling abit, but I hope I did! 😅

Basically:
Any magic damage source (generalizing based on the results) will activate Genius Wand, for Glowing Wand, the hero's skills must deal magic damage with the exception of Feather of Heaven and its base item, Swift Crossbow, probably because the game counts the added adaptive damage, but it doesn't count the Windtalker magic damage? Weird.

Yeah, Glowing does help Genius to stack, so just take note of that! It'll be nice to test it on Valir tho, just to make sure.

Well, it seems like Belerick's passive does trigger the Ice Queen Wand effect so it's at least decent for sure. But the thing is Belerick does have slow effects built into his Skill 1 and 2...

Yeah, it can be confusing. It depends what Moonton defines as "skills" though. Perhaps all of them are not working correctly.

Wait, I don't understand how you test necklace of durance. NOD reduce enemy regeneration, but you test it by seeing the damage dealt?
Whenever the "anti-lifesteal" effect of NoD (or even Sea Halberd or Dominance Ice) is applied to an enemy, you will see a "broken heart" icon next to the enemy. That's how you know if the effect is applied or not.
In the examples inside the video, I *had* to deal damage since NoD's trigger was to deal damage.
Lol youre the only channel I know that theorycrafts mlbb, other channels focuses more on how to play it.

Fun Fact: Lightning Truncheon does trigger on Flameshot, I've done lots of snipe kills and died to snipes like that too often to forget it. Maybe the condition for Lightning to trigger with Flameshot is determined with distance. This is an eye opening video btw, Moonton should really fix this.
Hrm, have you tested it? I tested it across several distances and from several angles and it didn't trigger Lightning Truncheon's passive, so at least from my tests, they don't work with Flameshot. I'd like to know how you had triggered it and from what distance if possible so we can update the info if possible!

Well, the tests clearly show that Ice Queen Wand did manage to trigger with "non-skill" effects. I'm sure Moonton is working on getting this fixed tho.

So I just went to test to make sure, and the descriptions are correct. The effects of Blade of Heptaseas and Shadow Twinblades did not trigger from just using Skills, and only did so after a Basic Attack 😄

So I've just tested this and can confirm that Necklace and Sea Halberd effects can be activated by the Baxia's ult damage. Radiant Armor can also stack from Baxia's ult damage. 😄

War Axe is the worst offender. It misleads the reader into believing it grants stacks based on the number of attacks when in reality it gives stacks based on time spent in combat. Also, it gives Roger full stats instead of the weaker marksman bonus stats.

As an OG and a ruby main, they used to work and even trigger ruby's lifesteal because i used to experiment a lot
But now there is a general nerf on spell vamp, it does not work on battle spells and item passives anymore
I used to abuse cursed helm because i get some spell vamp from its passive when i get near to enemies and also true dmg from endless battle and sometimes demon hunter sword just for classic testing and surprisingly i got basic atk lifesteal lol
