I play trumpet and I would recommend doing exercises for increasing your range and when your highest notes are higher it will naturally be easier to play in the mid to high registers.
French Horn player; long tones to help build good breath, and lip slurs or etudes with high notes in the middle of phrases specifically. When doing the slurs, give yourself enough time to realize what your embouchure looks like but also what the inside of your mouth looks like (figure out where you're placing your tongue, things like that) to help diagnose potential issues with either that are hindering you. Having high notes in the middle of phrases in exercises will help you develop better air support for them (and help with that in general plus improve phrasing!)which can help you be less scared of high notes by helping you seem them as "just another note" in the phrase (which they are!)

Retract your lower jaw so that your bottom teeth are slightly behind the plane of your top teeth. It takes some work to gauge how much you need to retract, but this concept makes the high notes sing much easier.😉 For a full soaring sound, you have to eliminate the pinching pressure, and allow the smaller aperture to continue vibrate fully. Retracting the lower jaw allows for this.
This is really one of my favorite pieces from Pirates. The dynamics and the use of the brass and woodwinds still amazes me so so much. Great great cover. Love it!
as a french horn player myself- hitting those notes without a hint of a slip is A M A Z I N G!!! Hitting notes on the head, with a french horn, is all in your air and your lip technique, so it’s sooo easy to slip up or down to notes… wow

In the beginning of summer (I just found out about you) my highest note was A and when I saw this video I made it my goal to play so much that I could hit this note by the end of summer and today was the day that I finally hit that C sharp. 1:15
