@@adamlaforce3681 I'd like to know as well. Logic for me is you want to do it right before the radio. Since you have a ground and remote wire (blue/white) inline with the harness they will work regardless of location. And you wire in the yellow/blue, not inline, just into the radio to fool the radio. The relay should start up with the remote wire receiving power and send the ground to the yellow/blue wire. The problem is I don't know if the Maestro RR has any part to play in any of this. Going to be purchasing and installing a Pioneer AVH-1500NEX for an '08 Ford F-250 Super Duty, and not installing a backup camera or anything.
Not all radios are the same. Pioneers require either a double or triple pulse negative so a bypass would be required. See the link in the description for that video. With a pioneer, you cannot just simply ground it.
is it possibly to short circuit the bypass, I had it installed and it worked fine, then when trying to wire the backup camera (which I can't get to work) the bypass no longer works.
Will this help with the back up camera? I have done everything imaginable, even got another camera from Crutchfield and ran straight to bypass the installed camera and still nothing. Sure, or you can add it to the accessory wire on your aftermarket radio too.
So if I connect it to the accessory on my harness will the display options that are greyed out work whenever I turn the car on?
I installed this nicro bypass on the Alpine ilx-w650 in my 2009 Toyota Tacoma and now the settings work but the steering wheel controls that were previously working no longer are functional. Any idea how to solve that?
Sounds like something came unplugged or a wire connection came loose. Recheck your connecitons.
also work with the new Alpine ILX (905D) ????
Yep!
Will you update the purchase link?
can you connect this to the ready harness from crutchfield?
Sure can. You will just need to strip back shielding on the wire so you can connect it in. A bit more difficult, but still certainly doable
I had a Crutchfield ready harness for this radio, I connected the yellow-blue on the bypass to the green which is what Crutchfield used for parking brake in the ready harness. Left the other yellow off. Works great
@@jlibert0546 So you left out the other yellow but connected the other two cables to the same colored cables on the ready harness?
@@ProvoBeastAudio I have the ready harness which came with the RP4-VW11. Doni still need this bypass module or should the one from the "ready harness" work?
Will this also work for the sony 5500 head unit? Thanks....
nope, you should just be able to ground the parking brake on your Sony. No adapter needed.
Does this screw up the amplifier signal that needs to continue to the amp to turn it on?
It's irrelevant to an amplifier output, remote output, or backup camera. This is specifically to access certain settings in the menu or video playback while in motion.
@@ProvoBeastAudio I understand that, but you are tapping into the blue with white stripe line that turns on the amplifier, does it affect the ability for the amplifier to recieve the proper signal if it's also powering the relay?
@@archittt1 Nope, it won't pull enough current away from your amp remote inputs to cause any issue.
@@ProvoBeastAudio Thanks
Are the pioneer and alpine bypasses not interchangeable if you only need 3 wires on the Alpine?
Alpine sometimes needs both a foot brake and parking brake bypass, or a four wire relay needed. Pioneers only need a parking brake. Just depends on what model alpine you install. Generally a pioneer needs a double or triple pulse ground for the parking brake to work.
@@ProvoBeastAudio i have the aloine ilx-w650 do i neec the foot brake wire installed??? And what wire dies it go to
The Amazon link to buy this doesn't work. Do you have a new link?
I got mines for eBay 12$
Will this work on the F411 Halo 11 unit?
Thank you!
I'm so lost my ilx-w650 has a reverse wire and parking brake wire!
This bypass has no impact on the reverse wire, just the parking brake wire.
I have a ilx-407 I HAVE THE REVERSE SIGNAL color purple, to plus side of the back lamp signal lead of the car,,,,,,,,........
do I put it there
you realize they have been pulled from the market
Okay I have a by pass on my alpine iLX-F511 and just random driveing the head unit shuts all my power off to my amps I am talking total loss of power and the unit shuts the settings option down when its active the settings option is lit then just randomly the unit shuts down the option for settings and a message comes on the screen that you can not access settings unless vehicle is in park then the next day it's like it resets its self and comes on works a day or 2 then does it again what the heck can that be ..... I've even stopped and put it in park .. NOTHING..turn the vehicle off waiting a min or 2 still nothing then just random driveing it comes back on amps get full power and everything works as it should any body have these issues 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Just wanted to know if you figured out this problem mine is doing the same
Is this compatible with iLX-F509?
Yeppers!
Mine doesn’t work even in Park
I dont plan on watching video while driving, I just want the damn thing to work. I cant hookup bluetooth, I cant use USB, I cant access settings, I cant even set the clock without this. So dumb. Why does Alpine think my am/FM radio should function but my bluetooth audio shouldn't?
Y can't you just bypass it without having to buy the bypass harness?
Good question to ask Alpine directly ;)
The radio isn't sensing a completed circuit like other radios are. It's sensing a pulse which the parking brake bypass mimics
Hi , would this bypass work on the halo 11?
Yes it should.
Where can I buy the bypass harness?

Hey friend
This is Winnie from Issyauto. Would you like to make a review video about the Toyota lights?
l have emailed u the details, please feel free to contact me.
Dammit I have no idea how to get into the car and do anything of this 🤦♂️
No sound!
This radio is a total pain in the ASS! I don’t care about watching videos. I can’t even access enough to pair a phone! Who are these people, my parents? I have a foot brake in a 2009 vehicle. I’m not going to apply the E brakes every time I want to connect to Bluetooth, how RIDICULOUS! So after much thought, and thinking I was going to return it and the hassle of doing that, I just ordered this. Hopefully it works.
Nothing but garbage .. no auto signal for rear camera go to settings to select camera n c whats behind PFF get a normally open switch 4 $10 bucks ground it to blue and yellow wire
How do you the axxess one on the alpine
I linked the new Alpine one in the description
Will this work on an ilx-407 ?
Yep!
Work on ILX-W670?
Have you tried it?
