    hi,
I'm Boh Heong Yap, son of Master Yap,
    thanks for the fine comments.
This video was taken in the Nan Shao Lin (Southern Shaolin) Conference in 2006, in one of the buildings in the the newly restored temple itself. The town is QuanQou in Fujian Province.
The form is called 'Wu Zu Ru Yi Quan', literally Five Ancestors Soft & Hard Form/Fist. It is actually a combination styles and a 'composition' of Master.
To find out more, drop me a message on my personal area.
    thnx

I never had the privilege of meeting your father but I know he was a man of great skill and humour. I love seeing any clips of him in action that I can find.
      All the best to you.

Here in Brazil, we know the story of the master ip man, and admired the Chinese culture, for its beauty and tradition. Congratulations to all Chinese!

In a book I read about wuzuquan, this guy learned wuzuquan from different masters of two lineage. And was quoted as a person who only teaches real kung fu indoors with few selected students. So don't expect too much of him in videos...

Sorry but there is something wrong with a martial arts demonstration wearing suit pants and a tie. But that's just me. Each to his own.

train to fight how you are usually dressed. It'd be a sad day when you can't perform your hard earned skill just because you didn't take into account wearing pants that are a size too small or something like that. Not sure what their personal philosophy on it is though.

This is not a question of "each to his own" as if Master Yap were being eccentric. In Chinese martial arts, there may be many reasons for getting together, including conferences and celebrations. Some people will be asked in advance to demonstrate and they may do so in a special demonstration uniform. Unlike Japanese martial arts (as an example), you don't necessarily train in and demonstrate in the same type of clothing. In Chinese martial arts, there is no equivalent of the Japanese -gi (Karategi, Judogi, etc), notwithstanding the specific outfit worn by Shuaijiao practitioners.
At a conference or celebration, people may be asked to give an impromptu demonstration. If so, they will demonstrate in whatever clothes they are wearing, as in this case.
At conferences, the attendees may be discussing a particular point and one of them may stand up to demonstrate as a way of explanation. In such cases, they will do so in whatever clothes they are wearing.
