We're trying to decide on the truck's interior. Should we keep it rusty and decrepit, restomod vintage, or fully modern to complement our MoTeC C127 7" monitor?
It's called Industrial Arts for a reason. This is the highest form of automotive manufacturing on earth! When you combine the best engineering with the best tradesmen you get results like these frames from Roadster Shop. BEAUTIFUL!
@@bankspower The interior should be done with the classic South of the boarder theme with Mexican blankets for seat materials and worn out looking leather for the dash, head liner and door panels. Don’t forget the fringe. 👩🏽🌾🪅🌶 For the gage panel, use patina looking metal. The glove box should say Banks back lit by LEDs that can change color with the other interior LEDs lights. Lock Jaw needs to be embroidered into the head rests or seat backs if no head rests. Cheers, KP
If I could make a deal with the devil and be 35 years younger and be a good enough welder to get a job at the Roadster Shop, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Ya know I look at my life and wonder where I would be if I took up a trade instead of college. Try finding a good electrician or plumber anymore. It's almost impossible.
That is an awesome chassis. The Roadster Shop does amazing work. If you guys at Banks Power are going to be running a hydroboost on this '66 C20, I fabricate and sell the brackets to make that a correctly done, bolt on installation.

When Banks has a custom truck build it is not the typical hold my beer I show you how's it done, nope it is downing it while kicking the door off the frame taking the wall with it and shouting this is how it is and turning it up too 11 shooting two double shoots like it was water. This is one of the most extreme badaśš builds I have seen and over the top too! Love it wish I could have a truck 1% this cool and awesome.
I wonder if you can get a chassis from them without the weld ground down. Just to illustrate how much work goes into the product itself, and weld beads look rad.
That assembly montage at the end was awesome! I'd like to see a montage of the entire assembly. Also, like I said last video, I think the truck would look great with one of my "If It's Smokin', It's Broken!" decals! Haha!
@@bankspower You're welcome! This is a great build! Do you guys want one of my decals? I never heard back from you on that email I sent to your social media account.
@@bankspower Well, the decal I'm talking about is the large one that goes across the top of my back window. If you take a look at the email I sent you all last month on the 25th, you'll see the proportions of the decals I have on my truck. I also did a #shorts video about them. Feel free to reply to the email I sent you with what decals you'd like me to send you! I'll have to get them made, but, since the company that made them is very close to my house, it shouldn't take too long. Thank you!
Very cool. Now it’s easy to understand the cost of one of the roadster shop chassis. Beautiful quality excellent engineering. That’s a fantastic foundation for that rusty old pickup
Two thoughts on the "patina." First, it's a giant undertaking to repair all of the rust. Second, we want the body to be a sharp contrast from the state of the art engine, chassis, etc.
My thoughts, make the body solid. Paint and seal so there is no more attack of the rust. Then apply a wrap, with the patina effect. There are several examples out there, and some really fantastic wrap guys that can make that happen. Best of both worlds
I like your channel and I wish you let us know when will you finish the killing the duramax and the amazing unboxing videos that went a long with it, one thing I'm curious to know is those chassis road legal and do they get new VIN# or you stamp or weld the old chassis vin #, thanks for all of info you're sharing with us
Here is an update: 1. The Super Turbo (Monster Truck Engine) is in the process of being upgraded which means pulling everything off the current 7.0 LMM, making adjustments and changes, then installing them all on a newer first-gen L5P block. Also, bring it back to the dyno cell is on hold while we conduct testing for our military program in Dyno Cell # 1. 2. Dyno Cell # 2 for “Killing a Duramax” is down while we update and upgrade to our new engine AVL dyno/emissions equipment.
A Laser like that cuts horizontal and vertical , and is cleaner ,faster, more precise , no slag, to chip or grind off , you go through more consumables on a plasma , than on a laser any plasma I have seen or operated only cuts on the flat and slight rises on a piece of material , on a laser it is easy to cut on 3 axis and 5 axis, this machine is a fiber laser which is designed to run 24 hrs/day just to stop and load/unload material
That frame I think will not twist at all due to that design that was put together. I am surprised that they make it onto a full rolling frame when all is said and done.
Mr banks sir toyota tacomas need the pedal monster. Banks diff cover. And and exhaust. They are slugs from factory. Being offroad allot the fluid temps can get high and it just sounds silly needs a real exhaust not an ebay afe or borla

Resto-mod Vintage!!

leave the exterior go modern with the interior
if you’ll spend any time in there, make it nice... nothing wrong with being comfortable in a plush new interior.

The quality of the episode is very good. It's nice to see the shop and actual work being done.

Paint! I really don’t get the rust patina thing. Maybe because I’ve been fighting rust on vehicles for 50 years.

Why a laser and not a plasma cutter? Accuracy on the dimensions? Saving time on grinding?

Perhaps I am the only one who is bothered by the faux film effects.
Why are the effects present? Most viewers have never even used a film projector.
The film effects are an homage to the 1960s, the era in which the truck was made.
@@bankspower I understand the homage. Perhaps it is just my epilepsy that causes me to find it irritating.

Please Mr. Banks, let it slide well!
When are we going to see a marine application for the diesel??
How many times are you going to ask how thick it could cut? I think there is 1 too many reps from Banks here.
To many skinny jeans
