I experienced chills and headaches for 2 days, I mostly slept 10-15 hours a day. 3rd day I began having difficult swallowing and can’t speak loud and clear (laryngitis). I hate swallowing so much, nothing has been helping it go away. Hopefully I wake up tomorrow feeling 100% better 🤲🏽😞

I just recently discovered I have Laryngitis. Began like a cold. No fever. Sore throat: like the sides of my throat were swollen and bruised. Very tired/low energy. Random mild body aches and weakness. Alot of drainage, dry coughing and coughing up mucus. Once I thought my cold was going away around day 5, i realized the inside of my throat still felt uncomfortable and wasn't going away. It felt uncomfortable to swallow and I thought I might need to go in to figure out what was going on, it was then I discovered I have Laryngitis. I'm on Day 7 or 8 and still have some mild body aches and fatigue. I can talk without pain, but I've also been treating myself with natural remedies and eating a healthy No to very low sugar diet. Natural organic lemon juice is very good. As well as Apple Cider Vinegar. Whether you drink a table spoon amount straight, in warm/hot water, or both of them together in warm/hot water. Gargling with salt water helps kill the bacterial germs in your throat as well. ... I'd say I found better information for treatment on Laryngitis on Pinterest than I did in this video. Although this did give me some info I didn't know.

Started exactly 3 days ago. 1st day, no special pain other than discomfort around the throat area with some fatique. 2nd day: hell on earth. Throat started to hurt so freaking much, voice completely destroyed and lost, coughing started. 3rd day: universe ending, woke up with the sharpest throat pain in my life accompanied with destroyed voice and dry coughing. I'm on iboprofen all day, going into 1.5K mg, hot tea with lemon and throat medication. I'm SO SCARED for day 4. I feel the pain, and I KNOW it's going to be on the same level or even worse tomorrow. Updating the thread for day 4 under this comment tomorrow.
Day 4 is here and OH MY GOD IT HURTS SO. FREAKING. BAD. I checked to see my throat and saw white circles, so it's very possible I have a strep throat infection. Ordered some antibiotics (penicillin), honey, and tea. Used salt water but it didn't quite help, so then I took some iboprofen to compensate. Day 4 is a nightmare. No visible signs of healing progress. I need to make it through this day alive.
Day 5 - 32 hours on penicillin (including day 4), I woke up feeling MISERABLE. I was planning on going to bed around 3am and couldn't fall asleep because of the mucus buildup in my throat. Imagine swallowing your saliva and feeling the pain that comes with the viscous mucus that makes swallowing saliva impossible. This scared me because I started gagging... Then, after sleeping for about 3 hours, I woke up with excruciating pain in my throat and swollen lymph nodes. I went to the kitchen to make some tea and banged my fist against the wall. I had never done this before, so you can imagine the pain I was in. No amount of iboprofen could save me, just some warm tea and honey, but of course not permanently. Then, miraculously, I woke up 5 hours later feeling ... BETTER. The swelling went down drastically, my throat still hurt like a bee, but I started jumping up and down with joy. I forced myself to swallow my own saliva 15 times just to make sure I wasn't imagining it
Day 6- The twist of all the twists. I woke up with a horrible pain in my throat and with swollen tonsils. I had enough of everything. Went to see a doctor, got prescribed 5 days of strong antibiotics, corticosteroids and other pain medication. Received my first shot today. 4 more to go . I feel better. Please go and see your doctor if your throat hurts more than 4 days. As you can see, I failed miserably, and my body did, too. Thank god doctors exist, but especially medication. My life is saved. I'm very happy.
Day 7 - Some feeling of weakness was present during the day, although there were no visible signs of fever. Got my second shot of antibiotics and corticosteroids. Had a very bad cough last night (at the end of day 6) that required me to buy an asthma inhalor, and now I can sleep, eat, drink and do other things I used to enjoy doing before all this. It's a miracle. Yes, getting the shots isn't fun for anyone, but I think it truly saved me from the never ending pain I've been in. So, so grateful and happy. I opened a bag of chips today and celebrated the ultimate victory against whatever the hell struck me. I still cough sometimes, so I will update the thread for day 8.
Day 8 and 9 - Weakness is slowly subsiding. My cough is still there, and it's super intense during the night. I'm coughing up mucus, but not to the degree I'd like to. I need this cough to be gone soon.

oh boi this is no bueno. I wanted to work as a voice actor again some weeks ago, while my voice sounds normal in my head, hearing it in records made aware of how weak it is, I just thought it was because I was out of business for so long. Yesterday I went to the doc because of my cough and y'all guess what! 🎉laryngitis🎉 oh well, I've sewn a tiny rice pillow that I heat up in the microwave, to put on my throat while lying on the sofa being high as balls on my anti cough meds and watching markiplier.

@@stacey9787 it started off as a very mild cold with few flu symptoms for 2 weeks.. then developed into breathing problems which is when I found out it developed into acute bronchitis, this lasted about 3-4 weeks... the laryngitis came after all of this as I began to heal, which last 2-3 weeks... I began drinking hot teas (ginger with lemon) and eating garlic cloves raw, with gargling warm salt water once i started to noticed the laryngitis wasn't leaving after 3-4 days.
I had mine for 3 weeks. It started getting better but i got drunk and smoked.... i feel like im back to 0 now. Drinking lots of tea with honey helped me first....

So I think I have this rn. Probably got it cuz I ran in the cold a week ago or so and it was freezing. I wore a sweater but that didn’t seem to make a difference I still felt the cold air fill my lungs.
@@nayeliybarra9815 I honestly didn’t even remember I got this as later I got sick with symptoms that were even worse but that was a month or so afterwards. It usually takes about a week? What helped me get rid of it completely was being diligent on applying a chest rub every night even when I didn’t think it would do anything.
I think i'm coming down with this...idk... I was watching GLEE scenes and I was about to go to the laryngitis scene, when I found this... My throat is feeling really bad. I sing alot, and I have a best friend who's sick and I was near her all day. ;-;
