    This hotel is absolutely glorious, so majestic. And I just pray this virus hasn't diminished its patronage. Thank you Hernando Courtright.

    Is this the hotel featured on the film "pretty woman"?

      It is. But I think they also used another hotel in LA to shoot certain scenes.

    Your video here is good, thanks for showing this. But I don't see any resemblance to what you see in the movie, not to mention how people dress today versus in 1990. OR is it possible that since it was a movie, everyone's clothes were from movie closets (not reality of the time); and things were added to the hotel to make it look more amazing than it was ? I guess we will never know the answer. Someone would have had to go in and film the hotel right AFTER the movie came out to see if it was real. That's my favorite part of Pretty Woman movie, is seeing the beautiful décor of that hotel and hotel room.

      I don't think they filmed a lot of the movie inside that hotel. I think they used it mainly for exterior. Check this out. It explains it all. www.lamag.com/culturefiles/pretty-woman-30-years/

      @@RichCelenza Yes. Thanks. Perhaps most hotels did not look that good. Maybe they added a lot of décor for the film, because I talked to someone on UA-cam about the interior of the house in Home Alone movie, and she said it was a built set. Same thing, outside was the real house, but inside was a gussied up set. Nevertheless, I enjoy watching those 2 movies to see the architecture and beautiful home décor.

      @RichCelenza  Рік тому

      @@FiveElements00 I am a filmmaker and most of the films you see they use the exterior but create a set for the interior. Most of time there is not enough room for the cameras, lighting, actors, extras and crew. Also, if it is a business establishment they just can't shut down the entire location when shooting because it will hurt their business.

      @@RichCelenza thank you for blessing us with this video. Thank you for putting your own life on the line. Heheheh. What bugs me is that in such an establishment, there should be a person who greets you inside the lobby. That stylist should give you a warm welcome.

      One reason might be they're afraid that one of those rich out-of-town businessmen might be filmed in the company of a, for want of a better word , "pretty woman".
