Usually when I see the words "NASCAR Engine" in a video, I just call B.S and don't even waste my time watching because it's a loosely used term, and can mean a lot of different things... Yours has a pedigree, and some cool Hendrick's rocker arm covers, and, it sounds freakin awesome on the dyno. The expression on your face was one of a guy that was just waiting for parts to start flying all over the dyno room LMAO... Fortunately Rick doesn't buy his engine components at Rock Auto.

There was this super nice dude at my work who raced on the weekend and since I was also into cars we became fast friends. I went out to his house one weekend for a cookout and he had a bunch of older vehicles that he used for demo derbies, but also some cars he ran on an oval at the local racetrack. He had one car with zoomies and when he fired it up it sounded like angels and bald eagles all singing in unison.
The 'Pie Runner 55' is probably my favourite build yet, beauty work yall. Stoked to hear this thing sing, rowing through the gears, and rippin up the twisties!
Header design is an art and a science all within itself. It's cool to see your approach to how to get them to work! I'm really looking forward to seeing how this thing turns out. It's going to be an absolute BBBBEEEAASST!

Deep dish is its own thing, and Tony described it perfectly, the mistake the rest of the country makes is thinking that deep dish is all Chicago has pizza-wise, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Get out of the tourist areas and get out into the neighborhoods and experience the awesome thin crust cut into squares that is Chicago.
I like Chequered Past. You could get a cool sign writer to paint some old school distressed taxi chequers down the side and something like Tangelo’s NASCAR Taxis on the door.

I'd expect this kind of rookie move from a newbie, but you had at least two pairs of eyes on Tony while he PERMANENTLY WELDED that plate in the way of the suspension... Obviously kidding, but I want to see if anyone takes this seriously and white knights to your defence 😘
This really is a full circle kind of build. Its not talked about often but in the very early days of Nascar they did actually run the 55 Chevy. Ralph Earnhardt (Dale Earnhardt's Father) drove one back in the days where they built their race cars in their home garages. This is such a slick build I cant wait to see where you guys take it!

For my money, "Checkered Past" would be a better moniker for the Buick, 'cos most TAXIS - as in the legendary Checker Cabs - have four doors. My other notion is simplistic, but with a devilish twist: Put a B-17 bomber pinup girl on the front fenders, over the name "Double Nickels." Make sure the pinup is stacked like Dolly Parton, though - the fifth letter in the alphabet is "E" after all............ On a final note, I'm proud to see that Steve Mag's GFM campaign is on fire - strong evidence of the basic decency of gearheads in general, and this here bunch of fellow hooligans in particular. Keeping with the NASCAR theme, maybe you should run truck arm style suspension like NASCAR. Similar to a 65 pickup but with box tubing. You know what I'm talking about. Love the show. Keep it up.
