3 years for me and my skin is looking great for the first time in my life. Took me a very long time for my skin to tolerate Tretinoin, but I'm glad I stuck with it.
Her skin looks good. The tube does have an expiration date. I always used to use it until it was empty, and then i noticed that it had approached the expiration date when it was still half full. I tossed it and started the new tube. The new tube was much stronger. The expired one had lossed strength!
Mine's past expiration date but I'm still using it. It's still strong because my skin gets sensitive if I put it in certain vulnerable areas of my face. An expiration date is a guess, not automatic lack of potency. If you're not using your entire tube, ask for a smaller size so you don't waste product and money.
I was on Accutane twice and while it cleared up my skin it just got bad again when I went off of it the miracle for my skin was AHA BHA toner. I really wish that it had been around when I was younger and had really bad problems with my skin. We are so lucky now to have better skin care.
I have rosacea, bad bad rosacea. I did everything right and controlled it for a long time, but my rosacea pattern changed and no matter what i did, nothing could make it less horrible. I got terrible texture on my skin, very red and painfull, pus and bleeding... Got to see a dermatologist and he said I did everything right, but I'm in a point where topic treatment is simply not enough and because of that, even if I take all the care in the world, it would just keeping progressing to be worse, so I'm on isotretinoin now and it's already so much better! Sometimes topic is not enough and people need to use systemic treatment, but please, always start with the topic option.
@Michelle.W75 none of the products I was using stopped working, it was The disease that changed (and yes, rosacea is a disease). Why? Many factors, including hormones, weather and life style.
this was what i did too!! went thru 2 forms of retinoic acid creams and nothing was working. Accutane saved me, now my skin responds to tazarotene as a maintenance treatment!!
Tretinoin for cystic acne in 1990 at age 30. After many years, acne is under control. I still use at 64 yrs, but the benefits have shifted to a more clearer complexion with less fine wrinkles.
Ive been using tretinoin every night since 2020, used retinol before that since 2018, and used differin from 2007 to 2011. They all have kept my skin looking so young and clear of acne, Tretinoin is the real game changer
Tretinoin gave me a new hope! Ive been on tretinoin for 4 months now and my skin has never looked this better. I've suffered from cystic acne for yeaaars!!! But tretinoin has given me confidence. But it's a journey guys. It's not an overnight treatment plus, I have a skincare routine.
I went on two short courses of isotretinoin in my early 20s. My acne wasn’t that bad but it also didn’t respond to other treatments well. I honestly wasn’t that difficult for me. Skin was defiantly dry in the winter but nothing I couldn’t manage.
When I first used tretinoin my pimple would go away almost overnight After a few months it doesn’t really go away for a few days. I used it every night so idk 🤷🏻♀️ a dermatologist in Taiwan said it’s too strong for me so I’m using adapalene now
Maybe a damaged skin barrier? Cus I’ve tried loads of topicals over the years and the acne always gets worse over a point of use. I’m thinking it’s just bad usage of the product making things worse in my case at least.
it depends, did you take it with under the supervision of a derm? cause i know other people who took them willy nilly and never followed how to properly take it.
I’ve been using Tret consistently for years and it’s done nothing for my acne. I even have early aging and I’m not even 30 yet! Are there people that are just resistant to it?
I got Trent knowing online from muesli for hyperpigmentation. It’s supposed to clear it up within two weeks. But after four days of use, my skin has become so irritated that literally over a week later it’s still scabbing. I feel like it’s making the hyperpigmentation work and it’s embarrassing. It looks like a chemical burn, I feel hopeless. I’ve tried hydroquinone and it does absolutely nothing. I don’t know what to do. Which cleared up one patch but left a dark ring around the laser mark.
They have people there you can talk to about the medication. They need to instruct you on how to use properly. I do feel like they know what they’re talking about because I got one of their prescriptions and I actually work for a dermatologist. I am hoping you just heard them incorrectly because Tretinoin doesn’t do anything in 2 weeks except irritate your skin if applying incorrectly. I would contact them asap .
Sounds like you didn't use correctly. You have to start small. Put on moisturizer first and only do it every few days. I have very sensitive skin and I followed all the basic advice online and worked great.
I am using adaplene it's been 6 month every 4 to 5 days I get irritation flare up red raise bumps it go in 2 days but I get this often Also failure to use tretinion
So just my opinion, I am no dr or anything just a random stranger, but you gotta find what works for ur skin truly .. when I was a young teen like 13-16 I had really bad acne on my back and I actually was put on amoxicillin (which funny as an adult I am fully allergic too now lol) , different gel but a higher form then over the counter, and had about three chemical peels, (had really good insurance then but I was bullied ruthlessly so thank goodness) but idk for me, I feel like tretinoin should moreso be used on like 30+ skin, maybe late 20s, but I just feel like if your younger theirs better options, I am curious from a dermatologist prespective if I am right or wrong lol because this just personal experiences based then any true data. So in no way take my advice on that lol, like I said do what works for you, but I feel like I keep seeing videos like this with younger and younger people so idk I just kind of feel like it's a better pre anti aging/ adult acne product.
Are you sure it wasn’t just purging? If you are using that topical medication for acne, you will go through a period of time. We are Acne gets worse before it gets better. You just kinda have to push through it. Acne can take many many months to clear up even using this medication sometimes over a year.
Been on tretinoin for 6 years and it has kept my skin looking great!

Tretinoin gave me Pityriasis alba. So I had to discontinue it.
Thank you for sharing such an amazing video🥰
