Okay so BEAST was called the "recycled group" because lots of the members had failed making it into other groups (such as 2pm, BIG BANG..) but the founder of Cube gave them their chance and they made it big together. They are all really, really talented.
BEAST was Cube's first boygroup and debuted shortly after 4minute (Cube's first girlgroup - I hope you check them out at some point, it was Hyuna's group and they were so good too!). BEAST brought in quite a lot of money. It went downside for Cube when 4minute and BEAST disbanded. They still have BTOB, PENTAGON, CLC and (G)I-DLE of course but they aren't great at managing their artists. Anyway I digress. (We don't like Cube Ent in this house)
Breath was their 3rd comeback. Fiction was their 5th comeback I believe and it is the song that made huge. The foot dance "penguin dance" was super famous too.
The guy with the long hair in Breath and Good Luck (and orange hair in Fiction) is Jang Hyunseung and he was my ult 🥰 on the side note, he had two mini albums with Hyuna as part of the sub-unit called Trouble Maker, you should check it out too! They did what no one else ever did!
Yoseob, the one singing most of the crazy high-notes, remains one of the best vocalists in kpop, period.

yessss, cube really had/has talented people but their management is so bad. I love artists from cube, since GNA, 4 minute, beast, and now BTOB, (G)idle, and others. And if I'm not mistaken, APink used to be under cube but with different management or sth.

B2ST debuted under CUBE with six members, but one left the group shortly before their contracts expired. After the group’s contracts did end, the other five members started an agency together to continue as a group, but they had to rebrand as HIGHLIGHT because CUBE wouldn’t let them have the B2ST trademark/copyrights.
Main Vocal is Yang Yoseob, he also has as few solo songs 'Caffeine' which sampled 1st gen g.o.d's 'Road', 'Star', and 'Where I am Gone'. You might also know of him recently as Stove Cat (or Fireplace Cat) on King of Mask Singer, where he won 8 times in a row (from sept 2020 through jan 2021). He basically discharged from the military and went straight into KOMS lol
Also, there are a whole lot more MV's from b2st (including their debut stuff), I only decided to choose just a few of my fav MV's. This is definitely a group with a good discography (I wanted to include 'On Rainy Days' but there is no offical MV)

4MINUTE(2009) -> BEAST (2009, and they changed name to 'Highlight' in 2017, when the contract was completed with cube. Because cube registered a trademark under the name 'Beast') -> BTOB (2012) -> CLC (2015) -> pentagon (2016) -> (G)-IDLE (2018)

Beast debuted as the first boy group of CUBE in 2009, then in 2012, BTOB was debuted by cube and lastly Pentagon in 2016. All of the group are still active.
Hoooo! You are in for a musical treat getting into Beast! Yes, they were under Cube. They were Cube's first boy group and second group after 4minute. At first they were called the recycled group because a lot of the members almost debuted in other groups - Hyunseung in Big Bang, Doojoon in 2AM/2PM, etc but they quickly made a name for themselves and became known as a group with no vocal holes due to how great their voices are. They are often nicknamed "boyfriend-dol" as they have the image of the perfect boyfriend material.
Their last couple years with Cube, neither the group nor the fans were very happy with the lack of promotions from Cube so all but one member, Hyunseung (long haired guy in Breath) chose not to resign when their contracts expired. Cube being the butt hurt baby, decided not to let them have the copyright to the group name so they started promoting under the name Highlight and even founded their own agency. Just to give you taste of how trashy Cube treated the whole thing; before they had even finished the legal talks over the name, Cube was releasing statements saying they planned to reform the group with Hyunseung and new members as Beast. Hyungseung said WTF, I never agreed to that and the fans nearly revolted so they dropped that idea but yeah, trashy. They have some super fun stuff as Highlight so I definitely recommend checking out those songs too. The rapper, Junhyung, was also their main producer and wrote a lot of their music. He has since left the group due to a scandal and not wanting to tarnish the other member's reputation.
Each member has some solo work too. Yoseob, the main vocalist, has the most solo works and is the most successful soloist out of the members. He recently had a long run as the reigning king on King of Masked singer and did some amazing covers if you want to check out his vocal range there.
Beast and 4minute were in Cube ent. Yeah those top groups. Currently Cube has BTOB, CLC, Pentagon, (G)I-dle, Lightsum. And also Fiction won Song Of The Year awards in 2011.

Beast/Highlight are the best K-pop group ever. Their music has lasted the test of time and they put everything into each song.

I'm a bit late for found this. Actually Beast and Apink is so close..they even had a lot of collaboration project. Beast are extremely famous back then. Even after they changed to Highlight they're still. They're also known will good rapper and song writer 😭😭 Highlight having a comeback soon. Yes, they were in Cube before till 2016, they left while the contract end. After that, they are unable to use BEAST as their group name because Cube registered this name. So they used HIGHLIGHT as their new group name and start again their journey.
If you are interested to search their MV you may search for BEAST(2009-2016), starting 2017 they are using the new group name'HIGHLIGHT'.

Beast left Cube and formed their own agency Around Us Entertainment in 2016, rebranded in 2017 as Highlight and “debuted” with “Plz Don’t Be Sad” that year which swept the charts and achieved for Beast/Highlight the most successful rebranding in K-pop history. Younger Kpop acts such as BTS, Seventeen, Victon, and KNK consider Beast/Highlight as their role models. They’re often compared to Shinwa, TVXQ and Big Bang. All of them are now back from military service and preparing for a comeback.
So they just did a thing where they sing pieces of a ton of their songs and this was one of them ❤

BTOB and later Pentagon were developed by Cube to follow through the immense success of Beast. Naeun is in the MV of Breath because she was a trainee of Cube that was developing Apink at that time. If you check out Beast’s Beautiful MV, Naeun is there too.

Beast was under Cube. Later, Cube had other boy groups like BTOB and Pentagon. Beast left Cube in 2016 as a group and redebuted as Highlight, since Cube still held the trademark to their group name. The group currently consists of 4 members, as one member left prior to the company shift, and another member left after being wrapped up in the Jung Junyoung kakaotalk Chatroom scandal.
"Good Luck" is the Best Song in my Opinion.

Beast has some bangers, Ficton being my fav. They are now known as Highlight after leaving Cube and we might get a comeback in the future. Also this makes me really want to see your reactions to early BTOB songs because BTOB were the bg that debuted after Beast in Cube and some of their earlier songs are kinda in the same category.
Ahh, Beast, these songs bring back the memories, these all came out around the time I started listening to kpop. Can't believe I've been listening to kpop for about 10 years now with no intention of stopping. Kinda feeling old now lol.
This was the era of almost everyone being subscribed to "lovekpopsubs" for translations/ lyrics 🙈 am embarrassed that I still don't speak Korean after such a log time of listening to kpop etc.

Yoseob (the main vocal you liked who sang the opening for Good Luck) is my bias in the group and might be my all time ult. I always joke that if Yoseob opens a song you know it's gonna be good.
