Cheers Lewis. The thinking was - it's got to be worth most of the purchase price in parts so if it's a complete wreck I'll scrap it, but I think it was loved for most of its life and really only fell into the wrong hands quite late on, so it's been surprisingly easy to get back on the road!
Cheers Stuart, nice to be back on here. I've had hours of footage but no time to get through it all so the break has given me the chance to put some order to it and get it out there to hopefully keep other L322s on the road!
I fitted a similar digital Chinese screen to my classic mini, got it all working, then ended up absolutely hating it. I now have a simple, quality Sony head unit with hands free, usb, dab and then use my phone in a bracket. Car looks good and life is simple. Same setup in second classic car in the household
I'm with you. They make these units look so good but then they're just not. You pay a lot more for the established brands but they're established and trusted (and more expensisve) for a reason. PS - thinking about a classic Mini as a project. How are they to work on?
@ConorTwomey get a rot free mini and mostly you should be fine. Awesome parts and knowledge availability, great fun to drive, very tight engine bay can be the main challenge!
Really!? I did not know this. I got replacement FM/DAB antennas in the past but I've never seen the FM antenna adaptors. Can you share a link, please? Appreciate the info!!
Loving this whole series! It's a special kind of brave which will buy a cheap L322. Awesome work.

Good to see you posting again, I really enjoyed your previous resurrections. Excellent work on the L322, looking forward to tomorrows installment! 🙂

Great to find this. Really nice series. Have binge watched them all the last couple of days 👍
Welcome to my brain, sir, and thanks for give me your time!

By the way, you can get dab connectors for your original FM antennas. No need for a separate aerial
