That's the best guitar solo on any song and you nailed it, great job, good to see your on a Les Paul just like Robbo when he played it with lizzy, awesome man,
Fabulous! This solo, as played on the Live & Dangerous album by Robertson & Gorham is one of my favourites of all time and you just nailed it. I'm not quite old enough to have seen Brian Robertson play this live, but I was priveliged to see Gary Moore rejoin Thin Lizzy and play Hammersmith Odeon UK April 1979. This was my first ever gig, and at the age of 15, set me on my lifelong obsession with great music. Your rendition just brought it all back and gave me goosebumps. Thanks man!
I saw Gary a couple times, the gig at Portsmouth Guildhall I was stood 3or 4 ft away from his speakers whilst I loved it my hearing was %^*cked for a week after but wouldn't have changed it for the world,Dan your playing is superb and the feel is spot on my friend love your videos stay safe.
Superb!…never got to see Robbo with Lizzy, but Sykes did an incredible job too!…love the Les Paul, so versatile an instrument, Cheers from an old Rocker! 👏🏻😎🎸
Was JUST telling some guys, saying some rockabilly guy is "Best Guitairst ", that GARY MOORE is the MOST UNDERRATED GUY EVER. Incredible feeling. And YOU, my boy, have chops. You should be proud. All that practice paid off. I'm much older, and didn't practice as much, but i have the same "feeling" style as you. BEST wy to play . What LISTENER (not guitarist) wants to hear 8 billion notes in 7 secs? Widdly-widdly-widdly. Who cares? THIS stuff SAYS SOMETHING. Rock on, m'boy, Rock ON....
It's Brian's signature solo.Seen Goram,Moore and Sykes do it.But thst is the most emotional not cover but solo from any other guitarist I have ever heard .You are phenomenal pal.Well done.
you can see it all in his face, beautiful, sound is to die for, and player perfect....what can I say, except check out his other stuff.....you could be here all night.
Your les paul reminds me of Gary Moore's '59 stripe. Beautiful. Watched a few of your videos. You get some lovely tone out of that DSL! Similar gear as me. Charvel strat, a les paul, a couple fo tubesceamers and a DSL head. Love your stuff.
Great to see some appreciation of Robbo! Nice playing, too. Any chance of following it up with Scott's solo? Lizzy rules forever! :-) (Currently I'm polishing up the Southbound solo. This one is next on my list. :-) )
Lovely. Perfect rendition of Robbo's playing on this (which was apparently based on the early Gary Moore version). Play with a band, write some songs - the world needs more of this ;)
Awesome playing dude! Keep it up! Oh btw, can anyone tell me if a Line 6 IV Spider 150 is a good amp? I want to buy an amp that can create a shitload of different tunes (i already got some pedals), but I don't know if it's a decent amp... Thanks!
@TimIvashchenko Dude, this is one of the best comments i've had on youtube so far :D It really does mean an awful lot for you to think and say that :D I just hope you keep liking my videos! Thanks again :D
@sportsportsport Haha you must have good taste in music then ;).. Yeah, this was the only backing i could find.. I Covered the live and dangerous version :) Thanks again bro :D
I went to watch your Still Got the Blues" vid, also- You have good taste, playing Gary's stuff. Any chance I can get some help with tab to this incredible solo you play, "Still in love with you"?..I can't find it anywhere. You prove the old adage, "It's hard to beat the tone of a Les Paul and a Marshall." Tone to die and cry for. But I know a lot of it is in Your fingers. Incredible job, m'boy. Let me know if there's Good tab anywhere, to this.
@marshallmandan yeah, I'm all about gary moore.. saw him live a few times and met him, sad he's not with us anymore. Another thing, my Les Paul looks exactly like yours lol. What exact Paul is it? Mines a Custom Historic 2010 50th anniversary version 2 ice tea.. I was wondering if yours was too hence the similarity.
You cover lots of great songs I love! good job. This is obviously slowed down though, the backing track anyway.. or is it just me being weird lol? The studio version really is G. Moore ripping shit up deep! .. Nice work.
That's the best guitar solo on any song and you nailed it, great job, good to see your on a Les Paul just like Robbo when he played it with lizzy, awesome man,
Great job, great tone. Always liked the Brian solo off Live and Dangerous.

I saw him with Lizzy in Manchester UK - but can't remember any of it. But heard an audio tape from the gig the other day and he was excellent.
captured the feeling and emotion in your playing. Perfecto Dude, Bravo.

This was actually a Gary Moore solo that they kept on that album. Robbo did a great job with it.

Your les paul reminds me of Gary Moore's '59 stripe. Beautiful. Watched a few of your videos. You get some lovely tone out of that DSL! Similar gear as me. Charvel strat, a les paul, a couple fo tubesceamers and a DSL head. Love your stuff.

excellent interpretation! I wonder what you use delay and other effects!. thanks
Awesome playing dude! Keep it up! Oh btw, can anyone tell me if a Line 6 IV Spider 150 is a good amp? I want to buy an amp that can create a shitload of different tunes (i already got some pedals), but I don't know if it's a decent amp... Thanks!

Other than the Marshall and guitar what effects are you running? Just a lil delay?
What setting do you have on your amp?

What are your settings on the amp?
I went to watch your Still Got the Blues" vid, also- You have good taste, playing Gary's stuff.

Nothing like a Marshall stack in the bedroom.
when did you start playing guitar?
Noticed you're in the Green Channel of the DSL, so assuming some sort of Overdrive pedal here?
@marshallmandan yeah, I'm all about gary moore.. saw him live a few times and met him, sad he's not with us anymore. Another thing, my Les Paul looks exactly like yours lol. What exact Paul is it? Excellent version but there is a tag missing as it was Scott Gorham who played this, the second and better solo on this song.
