@David Wang Not true at all. AG wanted to continue making movies back then and then come back for 6 months and make records with PS..., that didn't work for PS, understandably so. That is why the split happened. AG had a beautiful voice, but PS gave him the songs to showcase that beautiful voice. Without PS, there never would have been an AG, except in his local church. BUT, I grew up with S&G and will forever be grateful for them both. 💜💜
I'll tell you what's special to me about this. Not only is Weir on stage with Simon, but my old friend, next door neighbor and the person who got me into playing drums and then eventually introduced to me to the Grateful Dead is right behind both of them playing drums. It's so crazy to see
Two living legends on stage together..They were both clearly loving the moment..Thanks for an amazing wonderful distraction from the madness that is the world today....😏
Bob Weir forgets lyrics. Sometimes he sings great. I think I will miss him when he is gone. Lately I see him about once a year. I don’t criticize. I am thankful he is there for us still.
Bobby and Paul ....Two classics and such a wealth of music no one here can imagine ... I love how in the end ..it grabs you and your smiling ...sweet !!!
Images an feelings of my childhood home on the NYC wintered streets. NY was cold as hell and yet always warm in spirit an heart. This and AMERICIA are definitely my top favs .
iLove it Paul Simmons been around a long time I’ll tell you what he still can perform and he still sounds good matter fact excellent I don’t think his voice will ever die out he still sounds great after all these years probably still crazy after all these years to ha ha👍❤️🎸😎☮️
Great song.. and to see Paul Simon permorming it live with Bob Weir is just to cool.... Just a couple of grandpa's now in the music industry, still offering many good vibes ...
Bless you Daniel and the eternal spirit and memory of your Mom... in rhe clearing stands a boxer,,, and the fighter still remains the same...Indeed...you ARE the Boxer!
Hello from Patti Cornell. Loving the new music coming around again. Lots of great music today. Thx for sharing. Thx to Bobby and Jerry for the amazing music today
Hello dear Fan. I've seen quite a handful of your comments on my post and I just wanna go out of my way to appreciate your beautiful words of encouragement towards my music thanks so much
I have seen Bob Weir in concert far more than any other artist, but I saw Paul Simon earliest in my musical travels, Simon and Garfunkel in 1965. Thanks
Yes, me too... In the eighties and nineties I saw many bands two or three times, like Rush, Pink Floyd, U2, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Sublime, Yes, Genesis, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Guns N Roses, and Van Halen (to name a few :-) I saw the Grateful Dead 26 times (including the concert for Bill Graham at the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park) that period while Jerry was still with us... But I always marveled at the way Bob would take over a song either with his voice or his incredible rhythm guitar/sometimes lead guitar, while Jerry just sat back and kept the beat!!
"The Boxer" is a timeless, iconic masterpiece that was never able to be captured live as it was on record. the harmonies, the build-up and the production of that song and it's "New Yorkness" has never left me not feeling goosebumps. It's on my "Ten Desert Island Discs". this certainly isn't a great version of it, but hey....no one stays young forever.
Would everybody please stop talking about Weir passing on? He's a health freak, musicians tend to live longer lives, si can we just presume he's for a good few years more?
Robert Hall Weir is only71 and fit as a fiddle, and on this you can actually hear his amazing guitar playing. Chords up the top end, triads and quadrads, amazing rythem patterns. Most be difficult when your playing with a perfectionist like Paul Simon.
So good to see 2 old farts that changed my world of music and many other people's, enjoying the golden years and each others craft talent and company on stage
couldn't have said it better. I love bob and it makes me so made when people underrated him or talk bad of him. he's a musical legend and rock royaltie. love you bob
At last, Bob's back. Paul gets carried away with the music, forgets where he is in the song, and, similar to a beloved friend of ours, forgets bits of the lyrics. Astounding!

I will NEVER tire of seeing Paul Simon... ❤️

Two treasures Weir’s a guitar legend, that fret hand and picking 💯 and Simon’s words ❤️ one love
Bob Weir forgets lyrics. Sometimes he sings great. I think I will miss him when he is gone. Lately I see him about once a year. I don’t criticize. I am thankful he is there for us still.
He's been forgetting lyrics for 50+ years - it was just part of what the Dead did. Not to worry about. I wish I had a fraction of his chops...
That other hippy guy didn’t forget lyrics...
@@ramboorider1 guitar or mutton?
@@walterkersting1362 Far less complex songs
Tony Danis I was referring to Jerry Garcia. He wasn’t known for forgetting lyrics, some of those songs were really long.
And my friends... hope to see you all with his age and doing what he does best. Almost 80 man!
Whenever i heard that song it always reminds me of years when i was young.
A jam among friends. Thats the vibe I get. Like seeing old retirees at the breakfast shops.
Their guitars are so serenely beautiful together-one can hear they really are old friends
The legends of music history!!

Too cool to.........
This was the same day as my mom’s funeral. I miss her so much. This song brightened my spirits.
I'm sorry for your loss brother... Keep the Faith!!!

I'm so sorry. My mom was killed a couple years ago. Music like this makes those painful anniversaries more bearable.

So beautiful music value
Socially isolated, because I am also an oldie, and happily singing along with the li li li's. Wonderful.

Music does that. It can bring you right back to the time you heard it etc. It’s just an amazing gift we have, music! Peace ☮️
