Love my Ally! I think the naming convention for the refresh should be something like this:
Gen1: Ally
Gen1Refresh: Ally X1
Gen2: Ally 2
Gen2R: Ally X2
And so on and so forth. It's going to be unintuitive to know at a glance if the Ally X is better than the Ally 2 when it launches. I think the X should be used to differentiate between a refresh model and a generational update model.

Oh my god, that's literally me at 0:08 in the two photos on the right and center, at 0:39 the one sitting on the staircase, at 0:45 the one in the top left corner, the one in the bottom left corner with the cat, the one immediately next to it and the one halfway up on the right, at 0:59 I am again at the bottom center and next to it on the right. Well, I can't say I'm not having fun with my Ally. Easily one of my best purchases ever. Having a gaming PC that fits perfectly in the palms of your hands and that you can take anywhere is fantastic. Happy Birthday ROG Ally!
I bought my Ally at my local shop 2 months ago but sadly there wasn't much accessories for the Ally. Had to search online for one. I wish you guys had some free gifts that came along with it. Looking forward of whats to come, hopefully ROG Ally 2 wont come so soon. I wanna spend abit more time with my newly bought Ally.

Currently playing fallout 4 at 900p high settings with 45-46 fps lock with help for AMD Radeon Chill at 25 watts tdp.

please fix the 30watt mode for third party docks. I got a 100watt spigen dock and the turbo mode does not work.
What a life changer this ROG Ally was. I can't believed I am able to play Modern Triple A games on the go and also play retros through emulator in a 1080 120hz screen with VRR
Just make sure you don't dent or nick your Ally, otherwise your warranty is gonna be void
The Asus Rog Ally is the system I choose to use going forward with gaming. Handhelds are the way to game now and it's the best piece of tech I own. I can now easily record gameplay and upload to UA-cam (still trying to build audience) as well as game on the go. People trying to give the win to Steam Deck when the ROG Ally is sized perfectly and handheld feeling. Not to mention access to Steam games and Xbox Game pass definitely outshines the Steam deck by all means. Happy Birthday to the greatest piece of tech I own. Here's to you. 🎉🍻🎉
I just bought one less than 30 days. I'll return it and wait for the new one.
Think I've had my ally for like 3-4 months and it still impresses me that I can just install a game and it just runs no issues, It's even pretty good with 3d modeling software, game engines and even VR. It's been my main driver since I got it and that's not changing anytime soon, absolutely love the ally

If Rog ally 2 is coming, any chance it gets an option to change the arrows and analog stick on the left side? I don't like the arrows are down and the analog stick is up. Playstation position would be good. THEN I might buy it.

rog when the next ally comes out can you please increase the battery life, my ally always runs out of battery in like 30 minutes
can you also add an xbox button please so i dont have to bind one of the back buttons to it
also idk if this is possible but implement a charging feature where if it reaches 100% while charging make it stop using the battery and instead use the power from the ac adapter just like the switch

It bypass the power received from adapter so that the battery remains intact

Other handheld computers may be better in many other ways, but I choose you. Mobility and sporty appearance. They give a sense of confidence so you can take it anywhere.
I really like this device, i want more RAM, more storage, and a kickstand. The mod community is too dope not to do these myself. 😂

I'm happy with mine, getting rid of my steam deck and upgrading to an ROG Ally was one of the best decisions I made.
The fact that the ally X is going to use the same damn chipset as the last gen is making me, and many others, buy something else.

As stupid as this may sound, i’m still confused on whether i should get this or the Ipad pro M2.
Cuz i only play Honkai Star Rail, Genshin Impact, and soon Wuthering Waves.
I love my rog ally. It all comes down to your needs of either device, u can either get the ally for pc gaming + mobile games, or the ipad m2 for mobile games + the pc ports they add to the app store.
