"Paper straws are simply shifting the blame" is 100% accurate. It makes people think they are doing their part, and they actually have some semblance of control. Meanwhile, those of us working in construction and trades seeing MILES of shrink wrap and plastic tarps tossed into the garbage and hauled away to the dump understand it's an industrial issue, not a consumer one.
I make electronics as a job, and all the plastic I throw away in a month is more than I do personally in 5 years. The same is true for the other 150 people working there.
Correct. The "personal responsibility" lie was concocted by BP (formerly British Petroleum) to shift the blame onto individuals instead of, you know, the entire petrochemical industry. They saw how nations could be moved to work together to avert disaster like with the ozone layer... and lobbied hard to avoid that. Would eat into their profits, after all. Somehow, this time, it worked.
The message of "AI has finally written a better country song than you" is pretty accurate. My wife accosts me with tik toks every night, and last night was an AI country song that was actually coherent. All about how his wife left him because of his drinking, which made it a great time for a beer.
The tiling on this could use some improvement, but this is a neat idea. I'm glad it started diverging from vanilla after Crateria, otherwise it probably would've been pretty boring!
Would've been neat if there was a bit more effort put in, the idea of "Super Metroid, but years after and underwater" sparks many ideas. Like, what if Maridia was completely overtaken by the Mochtroids as they made it their hive? And it was the one fully non-water area? Or what if that hidden path in Brinstar wasn't a thing, and instead you had to find Wave Beam in an earlier area to get past the gate?
Theres a lot that could be done. A retiled half hack would be cool. have the ship land in the high ground, collapse the vanilla entrance and have you run through gauntlet with water instead of acid. I love your idea of waterless maridia. but after some watery brinstar and a waterless maridia, i would give gravity suit after kraid cus no one wants to move through the entire game that slow. I wonder if you can have a heated water room, that could be stressful for a room or two.
Instead of a heated water room, what about a reverse lava room? The water lowers, and as soon as you exit the water you start taking fire damage@@thecoolkid440
Ceres station: Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Mother brain activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of the actives like rinkas, zebetites and the brain itself.
you gotta remember that these hacks are generally intended for average player. you jump at bubble mountain let you get varia early as a sequence break whereas rising tides and that room leading to wave would have prevented you from getting varia without more health and hi jump or something. this seems like a great idea, i would have prefferred if there were draygons everywhere lol
United Nations: Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.
Disturbing the natural habitat of Zebes, " How Dare You" at least Samus can get away with her improved sound system blasting techno bass rap country rock
Oatsngoats should look into metroid: desolation. I played it and it is a really good metroid zero mission rom hack. Even has a true ending after the first completion and a dread mode if you like a 1 hit your dead challenge. It even has more bosses than original zero mission
The automatic youtube content flagging because of the title is wild 😂
I think it helps me understand the plot
Do what i did and send them a report stating its the name of a MOD

"What if ALL of Super Metroid was just one giant water level?"
...asked nobody ever.
Actually I have toyed with that idea.
Maridia is unironically my favorite part of Zebes. And most hated part, is _all_ of Norfair.
You know it’s legit when UA-cam flags it

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Even when everything in the game is submerged, suitless maridia still feels slower.
not knowing where to go is just metroid. this was a brand new experience, and that's probably what got it the good reviews
Thanks Oas for bringing awareness to global warming. What a saint & a scholar. ✊🏽
Is global warming okay? Last I heard from him, he seemed fine
5:30 got me

Could the backstory to this be referring to the first Metroid game? That would certainly explain why the planet is still intact.
the concept of this hack scares me... i was never fond of samus underwater without gravity 😬
Glub glub

Samus is 26 Leo still wants her
This sounds pretty cool.

There's so many changes in this hack where I just have to ask: Why??
Oatsngoats should look into metroid: desolation. I played it and it is a really good metroid zero mission rom hack. Even has a true ending after the first completion and a dread mode if you like a 1 hit your dead challenge. It even has more bosses than original zero mission
Aren't plastic straws especially harmful to wildlife or something? I thought that was the point.
Have you played super metroid redesign?
He’s not going to play it since he said he don’t like physics that changes the game too much
Go play Verticality, it is like Ascent version 2.
Lots of stupid softlocks in this one. Also jumps that are hard to make.
straaaas
Jesus, the ministry of truth is on the case.
I'm sorry, how the fuck did you just pronounce "Zebes"?
Jebus
Hope this isn’t just Vanilla SM, but with 100% more water!
The mod maker should have replaced every geemer with Gary.
