You mentioned there being a spiritual vacuum as Germans turned from the Church. I think the word you’d be looking for is “subversion”.

Thank you!
Okay, I need to draw attention to the panel at 3:07. As an Israeli Jew, I've seen this image many times in my life, and it was always one of the most powerful emblems of the Holocaust for me. Ali - hat's off to you; to say you've done this bit of horror justice would be a massive understatement.
We must all do what we can to make sure that this never happens again to any people, of any ethnicity, of any religion.
I just still find it wild that 'Dolphie legitimately gave them almost free reign over the national budget. Even more crazy is that there really was an archeological dig in Tanis to find the Ark of the Covenant.
Literally visiting Germany for the first time ever and this video pops up when I'm on the bus to Trier 🤣🇩🇪
😳😳😳
Enjoy the Porta Nigra. And if I may add if you have the time and interest, visit the „Rheinisches Landesmuseum“. It has an unbelievable collection of local Roman artefacts.
Hail
I appreciate you putting this out st this time. But I wish you did a vid on the rise of the dictators in the 20s and 30s.
Loved seeing Rob as captain American and Matt as Indian Jones
I love this show!
Well, now I have the lore for my next D&D campaign. Great intro.
wow this is definitely way more interesting of an episode than I thought it would be. It's amazing the things you're describing about spiritualism seeking and all the advancements... and that's exactly what I see the world trying to do a lot these days too.
Dude your Conspiracy Charlie meme is on point 😂
Honestly this is the least expected thing that would be talked about here and i am quite excited for the series as it's just incredibly interesting because of how damn insane is this (it's completly insane(too much insane(Pure madness)
4:29 I think I see I Atlantis: the Lost empire reference here!
I love this movie ❤🎥
@@vanessaarzate8463 Me too!
0:56 I’m sorry, I don’t know if they did this before but if not, this might be the first recorded case of extra history cursing
Extra credit did curse in the episode about the video game Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
I love the opening. So much drama, please do this more in other episodes
There is a DIRECT connection between all of this and Hindutvah and the religious-nationalist movement of Modi and the modern BJP, too. There was more than one high ranking nazee who collected and cherished certain Hindu scriptures-- namely the ones conducive to "doing one's duty" without considering to whether it is right or wrong, abnegation of the individual will, etc...
hindutvah are good
4:55 bro I need sleep I thought this was gonna form into the Univision logo
Great, now I can’t UNSEE it! 😂
Isn't that what it was?
that has got to be the best open to date so far had me in stitches
Extra history!
:50 - “Vee really believe zis Shiese!”
My first lol of the day.
The intro and thumb nail gave me the sense that this was like some Scp and alien vibes but other than that that thumbnail was perfect and the intro looked straight out of Indiana jones
Reminds me of how they were connected to the Obskuracorps and later their demise at the hands of the Allied Occult Initiative [the precursor to the GOC that is later founded in the onslaught of the Seventh Occult War/WW2].
You always make My day guys😊😊😊❤❤❤
I think a team up with miniminuteman would be great for this
"We really believe zis Scheiße!" kinda made me feel sorry for the Doktor. Kinda.
The thumbnail goes hard
That title was a trip and a half.
TNO REFERENCE (I'm mentally insane I need help)
That was the greatest intro I've ever seen in my life
How did you and rob decide who would be Captian America and who would be Indiana Jones
"Legends and Lattes" and "Bookshops and Bonedust" were amazing books. My wife and I listen to the audio version, and I bought her the physical versions as well because they were so good to listen to.
The youtube thumbnail goes so hard for no reason
David did an amazing job with it!

Really love this new style of intro
Was about to sleep when i saw this in my recommended, whats the harm in delaying sleeping a bit more, eh?
Love the Bookshops and Bonedust plug, fantastic book and series full of cozy vibes and pastries.
But also hey, dope video, and only a little terrifyingly relevant.
5:53 after this video, this really doesn’t sound like a fusion of Christian and Pagan stuff. Dia de los muertos is a fusion of Christian and Pagan stuff.
This is the worst version of “I’m not religious, but I’m spiritual” mixed with ethnonationalism(Pride, idolatry, self worship). You mentioned there being a spiritual vacuum as Germans turned from the Church. Well instead of worshipping the God that died for them, they worshipped their “blood” or “race” and seemingly tried to use every other form of spirituality to justify the worship of themselves.
I think the word you’d be looking for is “subversion”.
I always say that Paganism can be blended with Christianity, but Christianity cannot be blended with Paganism, lest it be adulterated.
Mate,I like your thinking.
I didn’t understand where the Christian principles were being blended with a paganism, in the same manner as Extra History was explaining them to be.
Probably a very needed series to reach many ears. Well done EH!!
Miniminuteman is a great youtube channel that discusses pseduoscinece in histort snd tdoay in acrheology snd anthropology
We need a Milo/EC crossover: animated bean people talking about history with drinking games.
I only clicked it due to karl ruprecht kroenen in your artstyle in the thumbnail, and i never regretted it
The intro was kinda ridiculous, but i enjoyed it nonetheless because i grew up with the Indiana Jones movies.
I feel we are going to be hearing about the Ahnenerbe here in the next few episodes. Oh boy...
This dude won't understand them and will only try to ridicule them
Zoey didn't show up at the end. I hope she's ok
