.....Some comedians are just naturally funny.... Even at times with minimal effort and just with actions alone..... .....Norman Collier fitted the bill perfectly.... Just a natural very funny comedian.... Remember his shows as a child.... The Bingo routine and angry motorist skits still have me in stitches today.... ....Great stuff....
I used to do this when I was a fireman in the RAF talking to air traffic laughing away to ourselves and when we got back the the section the Sarge would call ground radio
Saw Norman Collier live in 1980 in Bournemouth. He was Little and Large's special guest in their Summer Season that year. He was the funniest person on the show. A true one-off.
He used to have a car door and wind up the window as he shouted at another motorist, so that, although his lips were still moving, his voice went quiet as the window closed, then his voice came back as he wound it down again. Very funny.
Most comedians steal their act from a previous generation of performers.A classic example is Les Dawsons blatant copy of Norman Evans.Normans Colliers act was unique and orginal. RIP Norman.
David Malsher Nobody complained about it back then. Nine times out of ten, it’s white hypocrites that complain about racism and it’s about controlling society, not really about racism.
Brilliant comedian Do you think he'd get away with the Al Jolson gag this day and age. Not on your life with this cancel culture, It's killing comedy RIP Norman you where one of a kind but the laughs you gave us lives on.
Great comedy. Norman was very funny. Blacking up was no issue then, we didn't care, it was funny. Who cared if it was offensive to some. If you don't like it then you don't watch it.
Ackyman okay I’m going to challenge your use of the word “brilliant” based on his material and routine in this clip. His opening gag is poorly delivered and Brie punch line is obvious. The faulty microphone which was the staple of his act for most of his career is dragged out far too long. Technically it’s well done but ceases to be funny almost immediately. The final element - well it’s a parody of a blackface act and just ever so racist.
This guy is so funny. Never laughed so much in my life.

The car window sketch and microphone sketch must have taken ages to perfect, both brilliant.

They used to say that he was one of Britain's crown jewels, and as such should be locked in the tower. Brilliant comedian.
Different type of comedian. Both very funny IMO
There's some really surreal stuff in this. Hail Collier. And thanks for uploading.
I used to do this when I was a fireman in the RAF talking to air traffic laughing away to ourselves and when we got back the the section the Sarge would call ground radio
Worked with him in the '60's. Loved him.
Never be another like him
Whenever I go somewhere and someone is using a faulty microphone I can’t but help think of good old Norman.

Elmwood 1965 years
A very funny man
Comic genius , fantastic entertainment
Putting a black balaclava on his head was a real stroke of genius. It must've taken minutes and minutes to perfect.
I DID NOT EXPECT THAT HAHAHA
Very funny!!
Can't see anyone else in their right mind doing that scene at 5:40 today.
Nobody good enough today all comedians are pure crap
Not sure namby pamby comes into it really. That was offensive even in the 80s
David Malsher

Don't make them like the used to!!
You'd never get away with this hilarious classic comedy in today's snowflake society
When you could address people as ladies and gentlemen without the alphabet they/ them getting offended.
Brilliant true comedy, the world of today would be choking, let em get on with it, but, do it quietly
The Total worst thing ever.
Gadaffi duck
It was utter shite then, still is but it kept the Butlin and bingo lot happy. 👍
Great comedy. Norman was very funny. Blacking up was no issue then, we didn't care, it was funny. Who cared if it was offensive to some. If you don't like it then you don't watch it.

subjective...I think it's very funny and so do many others. I am a comedy fan and this man is brilliant
