- Full 4 min. version. This recording is of 13 year old Victoria Matthews. This is the complete song. Victoria has had the pleasure to portray Rita Hayworth in a couple of USO Tribute Shows. The first time was when she was just 13 years old, and this is that recording, accompanied by Mr. Ken Sefalo of Main Street Music. I have placed 5 photos of Victoria in the middle of all these beautiful photos of Miss Hayworth.
The original song that everyone knows from the movie "Gilda" was sung by Anita Ellis, she was the one singing for Ms. Hayworth in a lot of her movies. I hope you enjoy Victoria's rendition.

WOW! That was AWESOME!!! Victoria is so talented!!! I had just heard another version of 'Put the Blame on Mame' on UA-cam (by some blonde girl with THE most grating, shrieking voice I've ever heard!), so I didn't hold out much hope for a 13 year old's rendition....but you've got me eating my words! This was...BRILLIANT!

+Rafael Storm, sorry you don't believe it, Victoria is my daughter, this recording was done at Mr. Sefalo's home studio a couple of months before she actually performed it on the show. so she might have still been 12, the show took place when she had just turned 13. Victoria is all grown up now and music major. you can click on the link to get to the home page where you view and listen to lots of other recordings. I only wish I had recorded her at 2 singing "Mean to Me" , "Ten Cents a Dance" or "Melancholy Baby" we just found it cute and funny that she could remember all the words.
What an awful imitation of a classic. This almost ruined the original for me. Terrible.
