She's so beautiful and talented. Frank Sinatra should have thank her for his Oscar. She's the one that got him the role in " From Here to Eternity ". The big studio boss was not going to the role, but Ava convinced him that he should give Frank the role.
According to what I've read, these songs were recorded by Sinatra while he was in the midst of breaking up with Ava Gardner. You can really tell he meant what he was singing at the time.....and apparently she was the love of his life. The songs fit the video for that reason!
🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🕊🕊🕊🦢🦢🦢🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚
She started as a barefoot tomboy, from the smallest town in North Carolina. Somewhere in her teens she was a caterpillar that turned into a beautiful butterfly. By the time Hollywood put their selfish self serving wheels in motion everything changed. Once you got past her beauty which wasn`t easy to do, she had to work hard, adapt, learn her craft and constantly dodge men`s advances. Being a True Capricorn her self confidence did not kick in until she matured. She became a dam fine actress, she also had a great singing voice which was never nurtured properly. All three of her husbands were not good husband material, I think they were all selfish children. She really was a once in a life time beauty, deep green eyes, unblemished olive skin, a very symmetrical face with goddess like bone structure and a body that would stop traffic. From my reading men would stare at her with their mouths open, she would smile at them and politely ask not to stare. She was good natured, polite, intelligent, with a good sense of humor, she could also drink party and swear like a trooper, my kind of woman. I have been in love with this woman for a long time and after reading the non Hollywood biographies and watching numerous videos, I discovered we have 7 things in common starting with our date and times of birth Christmas eve around 10PM and both our mothers being the same age 39 when we were delivered. I am old enough to wish I was able to meet her, go to lunch hear her stories and look into those beautiful green eyes. I can always dream!
Frank Sinatra helped her in any way he could, also financially, that´s for sure. She wasn´t poor, but she needed money, as she wasn´t working anymore, the few years before her stroke and after. See my detailed reply to your comment below. Thanks for the wonderful slide show and beautifully matching song!
All of Franks music post Ava was awash in Ava. He couldn't be with her...but he couldn't have been a legend without loving and losing her. Long live Frank and Ava.
Frank Sinatra threw his life into disarray for Ava. He carried a huge torch. She was quite incredible. She wrote that on the day after her marriage to Mickey Rooney, she awoke to see him leaving the room to play golf. Personally, I find that amazing!
You should see this woman I know. She legit looks like Ava Gardner and Elizabeth Taylor combined. She’s also got completely different coloured eyes. She’s mind bogglingly beautiful.
Thank you for all your comments! Though her biographer Lee Server says that she wasn't poor in the end of her life and that this rumour that Sinatra helped her with money is false.
gatabella3 Thank you for clarifying this. I had to tell people, that she wasn't poor, she had money and choose to live a simple life away from hollywood. She took care of her money and live in a home with her Maid. She just wasn't fond of hollywood life.
Well she hired Peter Evans to write a book about her life because she needed the money - even though she and Frank had sworn to each other they would never do a biography. You can read in there that she had financial problems. Sure she wasn´t poor, but she was so tight, that she tried to make money through a book even though she was very torn about it. It was certainly no accident that at some point she told Frank about it while they were working on it, as she knew he would talk her out of it. He did and gave her the money she needed so she didn´t have to publish the book. Which Evans then later did himself posthum under the title "Ava Gardner, the Secret Conversation" - you can read about it there. Also there are different sources that mention that Frank has taken care of her medicine bills and also of her funeral. Which was a most natural thing for Frank Sinatra to do - in addition they were still close friends, and he never stopped loving her (and vice versa). She was not the only artist he took care of financially, usually anonymously (and he did it for many strangers, too) . I don´t think it diminishes Ava´s reputation as an independent, self-sufficiant, strong woman that she needed and accepted help from the man she called the love of her life, and even considered remarrying in the 70´s (see the biography of her maid Mearene Jordan "Living with Miss G") before she got scared and recommended Frank to better marry Barbara (which was certainly a wise decision in retrospect). In my book it´s not a rumor that he helped her whenever she needed help, be it financially or in other ways. And "poor" by the way, is a very relative word depending on what you compare it with. ;-) Thanks for posting those beautiful pics, "slide-ed" in the rhythm of this heart-wrenching song so magically sung by Francis Albert Sinatra (thinking of Ava).
Yeah, a man must be a fool to be in love with a beautiful woman like Ava Gardner, for she'll break you, for she loves all good looking men and all men love her.
Beautiful ! Beautiful ! Beautiful what more can any one say ……❤️❤️💕
Just so beautiful 💕💕💕
Most beautiful woman to ever walk the earth!!!!
You said it!!!
No. ava was a feminist.
She was not just the love of his life but the most beautiful of screen goddesses❤
I wish we had someone like her now. The term "timeless beauty" was no doubt invented for her. Gorgeous

She was his life's love. Barbara had to dispose of Ava's statue that was in Frank's garden.

AVA GARDNER -
She played a goddess in One Touch of Venus, she was perfect for that role
Because she is a goddess !
Very much beautiful Ava Gardner and best icon of Hollywood

05:12 Who's with Ava in this pic?
Actor Howard Duff, Ava's boyfriend in 1948
@@gatabella3 Now that's prime beef and classically handsome. Mickey Rooney, Frank Sinatra, Artie Shaw... what was she thinking?
😉
creo que Angelina Jolie es su reencarnación. Aunque Ava tenía màs glamour que Jolie.
Angelina Jolie - are you kidding - could never hold a candle to Ava. Big lips ruin what looks she might have.
Angelina moche 😊
mas bonita taylor eu acho
