I have had a LBL for a couple of weeks and counting. Initially skeptical at QC issues of as few years ago, I am pleased with the one I received. Even my wife likes it as I dump loads of mulch exactly where she wants them and her work has greatly diminished. I have a fair amount of heavier work for it but first have to add weight to the rear or I know the rear end will come up in the air. I have 142 lbs of rear wheel weights and will probably need some out the back as well. The size perfectly fits my 322 JD.. I should have had this years ago.. There are many add on's that you can fabricate or buy that are worthwhile. A hook and a grapple have been my first 2 choices.. Pallet forks etc. Just don't get carried away, it is a mini loader after all.
Yes, I use my LBL with Piranha tooth bar, log tongs and chains, pallet forks, etc. (see my othrr videos) and even after having it more than three years, constantly surprise myself with how much I can get done. It is not just the strength of the LBL that makes it doable, but the strength and build quality of these older JD garden tractor models. Good luck with yours!
BtW, when I first purchased my LBL, my wife thought it was just another expensive toy, but she soon realised how useful it is and is constantly finding tasks and projects for me to do with it 😀
I’m so in love with my 445! I sadly had to leave my front end loader behind when I moved! 😢 It was a custom made loader. Where can I buy a little buck loader? This is an excellent size machine combo for so many projects!
Yes, the LBL is an economical and versatile way to have a loader. This is the link: www.littlebuckloader.com/ Before I bought mine I called and spoke with the father and son owners and they were very helpful. You might want to speak with them first...
Nice video. It was actually your videos that turned me on to the LBL and I've had mine for just over a year now. Worth every penny and they are made locally for me! Have you shimmed your relief valve yet? Did mine a month or two ago and it really adds to the versatility
@@tesser5250 there are 3 valves under the seat pan on the trans axle. The one that doesn't get contacted by the axle bypass rod (the thing that let's you push it manually) is the relief valve. You can take the top off and put shims in to increase the hydraulic pressure. Stock is normally around 800, and you can safely go to 1500 from what I've read. I went to 1300 and the difference is pretty impressive. There are plenty of threads on Facebook and online forums that explain better than me
I’m picking up a used LBL this week, and really looking forward to having available. That’s also a nice dump wagon you have there.

I need this for my 445 here in Australia 😊
You should contact the business. Maybe they have someone down there, or can get one to you... 👍

I’m enjoying your videos. Thinking about the LBL for my 318. Where did you get the bucket edge protector?

Shimmed the relief valve? No I have not. Can you explain that, please...

Interesting! And that is for a 445, 425, etc? I find I have plenty of hydraulic capability, but I will certainly check it out.
@@tesser5250 yes, 4x5 tractors. I noticed it more with my 3pt than the loader though. My boom pole wouldn't even pick my 60" deck up before shimming.
And that was on a 425. I was tempted to do my 445aws as well but it is strictly a mower so I decided against it
No the whole column moves for and aft Asif something in the tilt mechanism is loose.
Does anyone know how to fix a loose steering column on a 445?
So is it the rake adjustment mechanism that is broken?
@@tesser5250 It still locks on the indexed positions but it appears the whole unit is loose. Nothing in the shop manual as to the attaching points
