Welcome back to The Green Yard and another one of our Green Yard Tours! It is always so amazing to connect with fellow Gardeners who enjoy creating green spaces full of abundant fruiting and flowering trees and plants. These spaces definitely help nurture the mind, body and planet. Ed has one of these Green Yards. On our tour, we got to explore mature stone fruit trees dripping with fruit as well as tropical trees beginning to flower. Ed has numerous trees that are producing and their bounty definitely helps provide for him and his family. Starting in the front yard, Ed has created a welcoming sitting area, which is lined with a Limequat, Barbados Cherry, Plumeria, Early Grande Peach and many more beautiful trees and plants. Moving into the backyard, Ed has created a water feature, which houses several water plants, as well as a large variety of tropical trees like Guava, Angels Trumpet, Mango and more. Continuing further into Ed's Green Yard is his pool, which features a mature Peach tree, White Sapote and Bamboo, as well as several younger trees like a Tiger Panache Fig, Jaboticaba and Black Sapote. Moving into the more mature sanctuary of his Green Yard there are 20 year old Bananas, several Jackfruit trees, a beautiful pond and turtles. I find it inspiring to see such beauty and productivity from one Green Yard. To learn more about growing fruiting and flower trees and plants in the Phoenix area follow us on social media. Hey, thank you! It was fun working with Schuyler. He did a great job editing the video.
Hey Ed! Thank you again for letting us film a tour of your beautiful Green Yard! I also really appreciate your kind words.
It is beautiful. I love all the different nooks. All the different fruit trees and tropical plants. Gives me hope. I’m originally from Hawaii and have lived in Mesa Az for 20+ years. Will have to try some of your varieties that u grow. Tfs🤙🏽🌺
Hello @MakazHome, thank you for watching and commenting! I agree with you, Ed's Green Yard is incredibly beautiful, I love the different sitting areas scattered throughout. We have an amazing climate for growing fruiting and flowering trees and plants here in the Phoenix area. With a little work I'm sure your yard will look amazing and almost like home. Let me know if you have any questions.
So beautiful ❤❤❤
Hello @jeanconneely3602, thank you for watching and commenting! I agree with you, Ed's Food Forest Garden is very beautiful!
Lovely property and video. I'm inspired. I lived in Santa Cruz many years ago. I walked through the neighborhoods by the beach eating plums. They tasted better than candy.
Hello @MM-yh2xu, thank you for watching and commenting! I also appreciate your kind words about the video. I agree, I think Ed's food forest is beautiful. That's amazing that you were able to walk through the neighborhoods and eat plums, I'm sure they were delicious!
Cool video. I enjoy watching these yard tours and having the owners discuss the unique aspects of their yard/trees!
Hello @TouchGrassGardening, thank you for watching and commenting! I agree with you 100%, it is so much fun to go and see different owners discuss their Green Yards and trees. Let me know if you ever want to collaborate and do a tour of your awesome yard! You're trees are all amazing!
@@thegreenyardaz Thanks, I appreciate that. Let's do it sometime in the future when it's not so hot!
Hello @ToughGrassGardening, that sounds amazing! I agree with a time when it's not so hot! Maybe we can get in touch later this fall. If you can email me at thegreenyardarizona@gmail.com that would be a better place to plan something out.
I love the turtle sanctuary
Hello @champagnegardening5182, thank you for watching and commenting! I agree with you, Ed's turtle sanctuary is amazing!
@thegreenyardaz Love these tours of other green yards too! Do Ed from this one or Stephen from the last one have socials or UA-cam where we can follow what they’re up to?
Hello @actorkaiserjohnson, thank you for watching and commenting!! I really appreciate your kind words! I’m trying to put out more tours of other Green Yards. I think it’s amazing to view the passion, hard work and abundance in their Green Yards. I do not believe Ed has any socials and I’m pretty sure Stephen is the same way. I’m thinking about trying to do a follow up tour with them in the next few years to have a comparison.
If I find out they have socials I will definitely share that with you!
@@thegreenyardaz awesome, thanks!
@@thegreenyardaz great thanks!
