Thanks Vu! Most of the local nurseries and Facebook garden members here are wrong and practice/preach infrequent deep irrigation for all trees. Naveed is absolutely right. Getting the soil and irrigation right is everything. I learned late. If more people followed his practices, there would be more productive mango trees in the Valley.
Naveed is a great guy. I remember when he first joined our Phoenix Fruit Growers site. I knew much of this...but still learned a Lot. ESPECIALLY about the shorter pruning season here ! Makes great sense !!
very nice video. I follow his channel. he is really good at growing mango. He is right on about the right type of soil for growing mango. it is really important. I follow his technique and it works wonderful. thanks for sharing
Very awesome video! Amazing to see this! I'm trying to hopefully to get my yard to some point where I have this many varieties fruiting. I'm in coastal California. Many things parallel us except for a few things. I wish i been able to prevent mangos from blooming when pruning. Seems to bloom with or without stem tips no matter when it' prune. Thank you!
Thanks for doing this interview with Naveed I watch his videos regularly Btw what zone he is in , is it 9b or 10A There is a huge difference between the two zone.
I live in Anthem and have a “Fruit Cocktail” variety that I bought locally. I’m curious about the man in this video- does he sell any of his cultivars because I would like to purchase a larger one to provide shade to my new mango tree.
@ tinatran7ko, Buy a mango tree from home depot or Lowes first, get some practice, nurseries are expensive. If anything g happens to your tree, you can return it for a refund at home depot or Lowes. I recommend Allen from qc tropical nursery. I have success with his product
Sir I planted a mango tree from seed exact 10 years ago in my house. Now it has grown to like 25 feet, but till date it never produced fruit or even flower. What should I do?
@@vuarizonagarden I'm from Indore so Narmada's water comes to our house on alternate days. After filling our pots I put the pipe open straight into roots of my tree for more then a hour, but didn't used fertilizers or manure.

Exactly, that's why I feels it's personal and need to get the facts out there.
I have a local nursery.......
@ArizonaFruitTrees Yes, the only one that says to water tropical every day. 👍
@@ArizonaFruitTrees You are the exception!

Thanks for this video! I watch Naveed's videos all the time, although I rarely ever comment on them.

Very good interview and questions. Any issue growing mango next to palm trees. Their roots can be invasive.
I didn't ask, but wouldn't think so, the mango there seems to be healthy.
@@vuarizonagarden thank you.
Nice, very helpful information.
Thanks.

@@vuarizonagarden the trees are really healthy for 9B
Which means Naveed is doing good job maintaining it.

I don't think he sell any tree.
I live in Phoenix Az, looking to buy mango trees like that, let me know if you sell them?
Sorry, I'm not a nursery. Checkout, Desert Horizon in Queencreek or Jungle Nursery.
Tropical mango in apache junction has has lots of mangoes

How about winter time? Any protection?
When they were young, yes. But not anymore.

@ikpb1652 I would give it some phosphorus and Pottassium fertilizer 1 month before flowering season in your region.
@@vuarizonagarden thanks for your suggestion, I will try that.
