  • J. Pierpont Finch, a young but bright window-cleaner buys a book - "How To Succeed In Business" and following its advice joins the multi-national but poorly-connected "World-Wide Wicket Company". Starting from the mail-room he rises to Vice-President in Charge Of Advertising using sneaky and dubious ways so that the person above him gets either fired or moved to another section of the company. He also starts slowly falling in love with secretary Rosemary Pilkington. Meanwhile, the president of the WWWC, J.B. Biggley, tries to have an affair with drop-dead gorgeous bubble-head Hedy LaRue, but she becomes a weapon used both by Finch and Bud Frump, Biggley's brattish and annoying nephew who believe that he should get all the breaks and not Finch. Can Finch rise to the top or will it all go down in flames...

I just LOVE Robert Morse's dimples and big blue eyes. I've had a crush on him since I was 8 years old (when this film came out). He's STILL adorable on Mad Men! Such a talent!

And to think that Robert Morse is now on Mad Men. It's like everything Old Is New Again. In it's own way, it's The Prototype for "Mad Men" as well as "The Best Of Everything" by Rona Jaffe.

@talentedterica Coffee Break wasnt included for the movie. For whatever reason, when they made the movie, they didnt bother to film some musical numbers, opting to leave them out.

Coffee Break made it to the soundtrack LP for this film, but not the film. So near yet so far.

Of course she is, the wonderful Michele Lee later starred on 'Knots Landing'. (One 'l', please).

Why doesn't Bert Cooper break out in song more often? Lucky Strike would fall back into their arms.

Learn to take a joke. Geesh. I'll give you a clue... nobody actually looks up a movie from 1967 on youtube unless they plan on enjoying it. We're all friends here so clam down

Geesh, just enjoy the film and stop bringing modern sensibilities into films (or musicals) made more than half a century ago. Get a life.
