Danke dafür - mach weiter so!
Wow! This is the most bushcraft winter solo camping among all! Simple, most effort-effective building the shelter, beautiful snow...I enjoyed tremendously, thank you very much.
yes! when i was a kid in the 70s and 80s, my mum who is an amazing cook always took herbs and spices with us when we were camping, and she was an avid photographer so she used leftover film canisters to store them. love to see this advanced level of preparation for flavour, however it manifests! 😆❤
@@silentoutdoors4412 100%. a natural casing is always the best. total props to my mum for using what she had at hand, but i bet she wished she had that option too🌻
That man is not dumb by any means.....he knows the dog is his best tool out there .... BESIDES BEING MAN'S BEST FRIEND....tgean would probably go a little hungry before the dog..... great video
Thanks 😊 At 17:42 you can see a sheepskin to my right and something black sitting on it with a white chest spot. A few seconds later she can be seen in my sleeping bag with her paw on the sheepskin.
Echt wiedermal a saugeiles Video allein wie aufwendig es Schneiden mot de Perspektiven usw is. Geile Aktion 😃🔥💪
I never see anyone using those ferro rods correctly. If you will scape just hard enough to get some ferro powder on your tender then scrape hard for sparks it works every time
Excellent video! This type survival scenario is more relevant to lot of us than the solo overnight "survival in the woods" productions. The one's where the guy builds an underground house with a fireplace. In 1977 while deer hunting my brother and me got lost on state land. You talk about a long cold sleepless night! Never went in the field again w/out gear for the unexpected.
This video goes against every rule I was taught in the Army i.e. never build a fire below snow ladened bows, the heat will bring down the snow and kill your fire - this could be a death sentence.
TThe fire was only used to prepare the food. No snow came down in that short time and then I went into the sleeping bag. But explain to me where you made your fire?
Great video, thank you brother. A small tip if you don’t mind - when starting a fire, hold the steel still and pull the flint backwards over it. The sparks still fly forward but you don’t upset your tinder with all that forward motion. Cheers!
Carry two BiC butane lighters instead. No weight. No delay. No need to shave duff and then sparks from a firestick with cold numb fingers. You are already using a modern steel hatchet, modern saw, modern clothes, boots, flashlight…. Forget nostalgia and romanticism. Use a modern fire lighter.
Nice video to find. I subscribed in the first 10 minutes of watching. Love the silent bushcraft knowledge to watch. Nice dog. Thanks. Looking forward to more.
Half way through this fine video, I was wondering if you coukd heap up some snow and maybe boughs of evergreens on the upside of your structure, to block out the cols air moving down the hill somewhat.
@@silentoutdoors4412 Agree w you. Base of a tree can in many circumstances a perfect shelter. Winter camping is like heaven to me. Watching from Michigan USA
Alkutalven lumisade on valtava lumimyrsky. Koirakin nauraa. Mistä tuo lumi on saatu majan seinälle? Näkee että se on siihen laitettu. Maassa ei ole lunta. Kaveri menee kuvauksen jälkeen asuntovaunulleen nukkumaan. Sammuttaisi edes valot. Olen Suomesta ja tiedän mitä lumi ja kylmä on.
I love it that everyone is so concerned about the dog! I saw her snuggled up so close to you at the end. Looked very cozy.
Thank you very much 😀 thank you! I'm surprised that almost no one sees her next to me on the sheepskin....

Coole Aktion!
This reminded of why i don't like the summer - there's no snow to build a shelter to keep you warm !
