Simple answer. If you’re a creative and you draw with your ipad, get the 1st gen since you’ll want the pressure sensitivity feature(only this apple pencil supports it especially if you use the 10th gen ipad). On the other hand, if you’re simply using your ipad for taking notes and stuff, feel free to get the type-c, as it is cheaper and has a better overall build design-wise.
It’s really tough. People who use the iPad for artist stuff (like me🙋) are justifiably upset about the non- pressure sensitivity of the Apple Pencil USB-C model which is a big dealbreaker for a lot of people in that group (and I think is also the reason why the current USB-C pen is so cheap) But in terms of everything else, the AP USB-C feels like a massive step in the right direction in terms of everything else for the future of the Apple Pencil brand of styluses. I recently got an iPad Air 11 inch (M2) that currently supports nothing but the AP USB-C and AP Pro so I’m screwed, but I’m hopeful that Apple will come to the senses and the very least make a USB-C pen and that does support pressure sensitivity, even if it means finally retiring the Apple Pencil first generation.
i got the usb-c without doing research beforehand and im deeply regretting choices since it doesnt come with pressure sensitivity, but i will be stuck with it until im able to trade it in and get an adapter for it unfortunately

Apple is creating problems and than selling the solutions (so that they can sell 1st gen pencils). They should have given pressure sensitivity to the type C pencil.

But it kills me because everything else about the USB-C model is wonderful. I totally agree that the 1st gen Apple Pencil should be discontinued by now, especially considering the fact the only iPad Apple currently sells that supports it is the iPad 10th gen, and it taking on the new modern design of the iPad as a whole doesn't really fit the whole functionality aspect as you have to use adapters to transfer it over to USB-C.

They are idiots by Apple: USB-C is introduced, so they made new pencil without pressure sensivity! So you have to buy the old one and 2nd cable to charge it somewhere. I hate that kind of customer treatment. Probably they want to sell out 1gen pencil... Apple, I really do not respect you... Look: pressure sensivity is crucial for ppl that are creating drawings!!! Other factors are not so important, in my opionion... Last but not least, in Poland, EU, Apple punishes us with 33% higher prices! I'm totally against that company...
It’s hard to say as each 3rd party one can behave a bit differently, but if you use Apple hardware with Apple hardware odds are you’ll get a better seamless experience
the fact that the apple pencil has palm rejection ks the best thing tbh. i have a knock off pencil and writing with it is uncomfortable, as i cant rest my palm on the screen.

@@moonchild9196 you shouldn’t have to, but sometimes technology can be a bit funky requiring it to be repaired. If it decides to be funky when you don’t have a cable available then you are kinda out of luck. I can’t say for sure as I didn’t use the USB-C Apple Pencil long term but I doubt that the odds of it happening are high
Unfortunately not, it’s only compatible with iPads that contain a USB C charging port, the only Apple Pencil that can be used with a 9th gen iPad is the lightning one (1st gen)
@@pran_irl it depends on what your want to draw, like is it basic lines or full on digital art? Basic lines the USB-C pencil works fine, for more intense drawings the 1st generation will work best.
That is another benefit with the USB-C Apple Pencil for storage, I didn’t mention it as when filming I didn’t know the magnets were also compatible for that. At the time I thought they where specifically intended only to work with the Magic Keyboard Folio
It doesn’t charge it, but it does go into a really low power mode. The three dots at the bottom are for the magic keyboard folio. The opposite side is where it goes, but it can get knocked over.

It will fall under if you can make use of pressure sensitivity. If you don’t see yourself using it then I would go with the USB C

I’d go with apple just to be sure it’s reliable. But I’ve seen lots of people brag on amazon knock offs.

how to disconnect Apple Pencil 1st gen from iPad?
If you want to completely disconnect it you simply go to settings, then Bluetooth, tap the eye icon next to Apple Pencil and tap forget device
Do we have to carry usb C cabel everytime for using the Usb C pencil..or just the onetime connection
It’s one time for pairing, and you will need to carry it with you if your gonna need to charge it while on the move
