that's...what most games are? or at least attempt to be, few of them pull it off _nearly_ as well as standout stuff like Outer Wilds or Shadow of the Colossus. it takes longer to complete a casual playthrough of nearly any game in the Persona series than it does to read War And Peace (40+ hours vs ~20-35 hours for a normal reading speed) and the Persona game is the more involved and information-dense activity in the comparison to boot. even a basic relatively early shooter with it's story locked into railroad tracks like Halo1 is longer and contains nearly as much dialogue as your average pick-it-up-in-a-bookstore book (100-105k wordcount standard-formula production from barnes and noble vs ~5000 voice-acted lines of dialogue in halo1, by halo 3 you're looking at ~35000 voicelines let alone more story-focused shooters like the mass effect series) delivered with far more contextual information. Games are longform storytelling with several additional/compounding/etc systems of interactivity/engagement/involvement/etc in play...sorry for all the "/"es: written words are REALLY bad at conveying anything with parallel factors/chains/systems/etc which is exactly what makes games such a powerful storytelling tool (and such an easy one to mess up).

I like how this version is a bit different from the OG. With this one we arent "there" in the midst of the circle anymore. With the slight reverb it feels as if the circle is happening with us just beyond the trees, there to witness the fire dying but unable to partake in it's ceremony or do anything about it- almost like something else thematic to this game. Though, maybe i'm just reaching.
I'd love a sequel on a totally different universe - that is, with different laws of physics, something completely new that you get to try to understand and then take advantage of
And, hopefully, at the end of it all... You can just come home to your friends and family, instead of being powerless to prevent to end of the Universe.
The original song has 7 instruments alone, and well, this is literally an orchestra, and even if it reminds you of 14.7 Billion Years, there is a part that is totally original (where the prisoner sings alone, and I accompany him with woodwinds and a piano) . It is true that because of the many instruments (and my lack of experience), there are parts that become saturated
I want to put a !SPOILER! alert but what are you doing here if you haven’t played the game??? GET OUT!!! But anyway it’s gotta be some sick joke that you have to go through the anglerfish nest in Dark Bramble to get to the game’s ending, especially when you have at most 12 minutes to get in the Vessel and install the core and set the coords before the sun explodes. I ended up getting jumped by the bastard anglerfish like 3 times because I was in a hurry and underestimated the range they could hear my thrusters. Also I genuinely got stuck on the Quantum Moon puzzle for like an hour, when the solution was so easy.
i will support your effort on this fantastic rendition but it just makes me long for the simple effectiveness of the original. 5 comfortable instruments joined by 2 wonderful outsiders if you are so clever as to have found them. and its perfect because its against that empty silence. you version sounds great and amazing... but its too.... Full. its an orchestra and not 5 buds around a campfire at the end of everything and the beginning of everything.
Obviously the original version is infinitely more effective, with only a few instruments it is capable of transmitting a lot, what I wanted with this orchestra was to make it more epic, a bit like "14.7 billion years"
Thank you all very much for the great support, I made another version of Outer Wilds OST, (End Times x Can you hear the Music)

National firecamp anthem
Omg we need this
Man, I love this game.
Right in the feels
This is cinema
I like how this version is a bit different from the OG. With this one we arent "there" in the midst of the circle anymore. With the slight reverb it feels as if the circle is happening with us just beyond the trees, there to witness the fire dying but unable to partake in it's ceremony or do anything about it- almost like something else thematic to this game.
Though, maybe i'm just reaching.
thank you, thank you for this
Betagamer07! pro view,till next time, =)
SO GOOD!!!!!!
thanks😁
😢 Nostalgia
I'd love a sequel on a totally different universe - that is, with different laws of physics, something completely new that you get to try to understand and then take advantage of
And, hopefully, at the end of it all...
You can just come home to your friends and family, instead of being powerless to prevent to end of the Universe.
@@NoelistAvenger Having it all end, is actually quite more beautiful...
im cryin atm
Really enjoyed it, thank you for making it !
Where did you find the video ?
In the description I said that I don't know who made it, sorry :( But I'm that you enjoy it
HIP HIP HOORAY
For me it could be one of the outer wilds music
It's an honor to be told that, thank you very much!
@@betagamer07 you deserve it... really
@@Ze_sovietYou have no idea how much I thank you
@@betagamer07 i say that because i think so ... ur music is really good!
Yes, thank you UA-cam, I really needed to cry first thing this morning.
😭
great
"Um actually, it's travelers encore, not travelers because you can hear the prisoner 🤓👆"
But all jokes aside, it sounds really good :)
JAJSJAJAJSJA that's true, my bad, but I'm glad you like it
this is really good, good job
thank you 😋
Shame that this isn't on Spotify. Or Bandcamp... Or something. lol
it's a bit difficult to upload songs on Spotify or other platforms... maybe sometime I can upload it :/
Does the music is free copyright i would like to use on one of my game.
I'm sorry but I don't want this song to be used for anything other than UA-cam videos (and it even depends on which one) sorry :/
Too bad about the end of this music, the “boom” is missing. Magical song.
Isn't that the original track with some hall reverb added? And he didn't even use proper limiter for this...
The only thing I caught as is from the original song was the whistle, since I couldn't imitate it.
What are you smoking?
Too bad it's not on Spotify
Obviously the original version is infinitely more effective, with only a few instruments it is capable of transmitting a lot, what I wanted with this orchestra was to make it more epic, a bit like "14.7 billion years"
That's so beautiful ..
