For people trying to cope: Here's a head canon! The blacklist members all lost their cars to the Player back in Rockport and decided to pick up new rides with the money they most definitely have.
I have a theory So razor as we know served his whole jail sentence since in the new mode he says “I’ve spent enough time in jail to know your not gonna like it” then after he was free he became a hacker from the given lines of the mode when he says “Heh I really got this hacking thing down” so it’s obvious his reasoning for being a hacker was to get the M3 Back but also to do some background checks on people so he wouldn’t get played like he did with Mia. But I think it’s more than just the M3 because I think that he wants to free all the blacklist cars so he can rebuild a new blacklist and take over a city so what if in the next game we get to play as the 05 player from most wanted and get revenge on razor for sabotaging our car? What better way than bringing back razors mustang to do so and when there’s a final race WE get to sabotage razors car which is the M3 and us the player I’m razors mustang beat him at his own game. But there’s another twist I think razor should have gotten some character growth and actually admit what he did to us was wrong and that he acknowledges the car for what it really is because he was jealous that the M3 was easily beating all the blacklist racers and when it was his turn he got it. But I think this should be a choice based game where in the end you as the player get to decide rather or not you want to give the car to razor completely or leave with it, if you want to sabotage the car or not, if you want to take all the blacklist cars or not and have them recruited into your own team and make them work for you instead. I think little twists like that can be really cool and make the game have higher risks.
@@kaivos Well, your theory is interesting, but there is a major flaw: These cars aren’t from the actual Blacklist racers, they’re from the Lakeshore street racers who wrapped them like Blacklist cars after being inspired by the true members. Another thing to keep in mind is that Razor’s actor (Dereck Hamilton) stated that if Razor were to come back he would, and I quote “take all of your cars”, so it’s likely he’s taking these cars not to help Blacklist racers, but for his own benefit and probably to start a new crew, as I doubt he’d want to make friends with the Lakeshore racers, plus, knowing his past behavior taking other people’s cars and use them for his benefit sounds right up his alley. However, if you are on his good side it’s likely he’s not going to screw you over, just look at how Ronnie and Bull were more than ok with being friends with him and he never did them dirty, so it’s likely he’ll either thank the Unbound player for the help, give them some kind of reward for the help, and then take off to some other city to raise hell.

Neither of your theories are accurate. Blacklist is long gone. And Blacklist was a notorious community among known by people and cops. Blacklist was made from notorious racers around Rockport city, Blacklist is not Razor's buddies. Only Ronnie and Bull were his buddies.
@ Yeah, he did an interview with an NFS youtuber called LP Ripper 24 a few years ago, and he said “well, if Razor were to come back maybe he’d be a changed person and turned a new leaf” only to start laughing shortly after and saying “nah, I’m going to take all of your cars, everyone” indicating that Razor will never change, and to be honest that’s pretty accurate to Razor’s character. Now, as for Razor becoming the leader for a ring of stolen cars, I can totally see that happening, and it could work as a way of setting him up as the antagonist for the next game, in the way that he’s the guy to beat in the new city driving the M3 we swiped for him in Unbound, and while we’re at it we try to help the local racing community to get their stolen cars back from this crime organization only to discover Razor is behind all of it and then ducking it out in one last race.
@ I didn’t say all of the Blacklist racers were Razor’s friends though, (but we do know Vic is Razor’s knock around guy), and I also never said he was making a new Blacklist, I just said it is likely he would use these cars for either his own benefit or to give them to a new crew (that aren’t Blacklist racers).

@@AkiRalcolf Well look at the Lakeshore AI car list and tell me which blacklist wrap should go. That was their "constraint". Notice how the Mustang and Corvette got the "proper" wrap, those are the few Lakeshore cars that are similar to some OG blacklist cars.
I think a new continuity of the Razor team would only be credible if they made an NFS telling how time passed, and developing a new game from there. It would be cool to contextualize these 20 years, between 2005 to 2025
While I was playing lockdown on a sleepless night I came up with a theory about the new blacklist cars. After the end of the game when all the previous blacklist members get out of prison they start to build up their rep and their cars like the player did. They worked to get their hands on some new cars and when they got them, they put the same livery as their previous car when they were on the blacklist as a tribute. But during another race they got busted and their cars were impounded and shipped to Lakeshore. And as for the M3 GTR, after it got totaled at the start of NFS Carbon it was put in a junkyard to rot. But one day an anonymous person got his hands on it and restored it but then they were busted in the same race as the other previous blacklist members and the M3 GTR had the same fate. And now it’s our jobs to get those cars for ourselves in the new mode Side note, why are ppl hating on the new blacklist cars? I think they’re not all that bad :/

Idk why people keep hating the blacklist inspried cars. Yea i like the OGs too, but you look at the story and they way they did it, it keeps the little lore they have going constant. Now we know those blacklist cars are canon part of the nfs world and not just cool cars back in the day. The only other cars we see constantly is the m3 gtr and random shit about razor and in past nfs games. I like what theyre doing here. You can already just make your blacklist rep build with the editor anyways. Also this NFS game, still to this day is getting content, no other nfs has gotten this much after launch support from the devs. No Mods, No Unite.
Ngl JV is my favorite. Just like you and I do not use the same cars and design for over 20 years, I found it kinda absurd that these characters do too, even if it is a videogame. That's why I like the Aki Kimura S15 in Payback too. Remember at the time there were people pissed off on that car?
As much as I appreciate them bringing the old livery’s from mw05 I feel like they should’ve been the newer models of the cars they were. I understand that some they have to make exceptions because of licensing but it feels so weird to have certain livery’s on cars like u have things like a evo 7 being replaced by a gt3 like what we have the evo 10 never less great update
If you haven't noticed, it's all NPC cars with a different livery and wheels. It's to pay tribute to the original Blacklist, not the originals themselves
Guys, it's Lakeshore racers paying homage to the original Rockport's Blacklist, since Racer X is coming That's said, it'd be better if they spent more money and take a better car, lolz. Also love how NFSMW's cops sounds more professional than whatever Lakeshore have in their teams
I didn’t grow up with NFS Most Wanted (I was only 5 years old when it came out), so I find all the blacklist rides in Unbound quite cool. No offense to those who are long-time NFS players.
My opinion goes like this: Sonny's civic - better Taz's E30 - better Vic's 350 - not better, but good replacement Izzy's GTR - nope Big Lou's Eclipse GSX - better Baron's 718 - not better, but nice Earl's Porsche - equally good as the Evo 8 Jewel's Mustang - Perfect Kaze's C63 - love it Ming's Murcielago - Glad they chose the Murcielago, since it's the only Lambo both MW and UB have in common. Webster's Corvette - Perfect JV's LaFerrari - lazy af. It's not even JV's, it's literally just Shimizu's from the story, but with JV's name on it, not even in both sides! One side still has Shimizu's name on it with a Japanese flag. The other Hot Ride LaFerrari is so much better lmao. Ronnie's GTR - Why another GTR? Especially when we have Aston Martins in game? Bull's McLaren - So glad they went with a McLaren and not a Benz, since the SLR was mostly made by McLaren (and that's btw the reason newer racing games can't get it as easily, there's a legal dispute between McLaren and Mercedes about the SLR) Carbon's M3 GTR - perfect, especially since we have a clean and this version (and the 30th anniversary version, which is also amazing).
Here's my opinion on each Blacklist cars: 15. Sonny's Civic: I actually prefer Sonny in a Civic than a Golf. Not that I hate his Golf but him on a Civic looks better imo, and since canonically we took his pink slip and he's new to the Blacklist iirc, he'd be broke and would settle for a Civic whether he likes it or not. 14. Taz's M3: It's good, I found nothing to complain about it. 13 Vic' 350z: It's good but I wish he went for an R34 Skyline as an alternative to the Supra, since 12 year old JDM fanboys always put those two on a debate on which one's the best. 12. Izzy's GT-R R35: Not bad, I do like the choice they went for her but how is she #12 if she's on a GT-R? Unless she has massive skill issue like AR12Nick, it doesn't make sense that an S class GT-R would be below an A class Eclipse. 11. Big Lou's Eclipse GSX: I don't care what people say, this one's a massive upgrade (technically a downgrade), but an Eclipse GSX for Big Lou looks better than his original car from Most Wanted. 10. Baron's 718: It's a great choice for Baron's, but I wish they should've at least added the roof option for his car. 09. Earl's GT3RS (Earl's car is not a GT2 in the game if you look closely): Honestly I do love this one, yes it's not an Evo and they have like two of them but tbh this one's one of my favorites in the Blacklist in Unbound. Honestly he looks better in a GT3RS, not that I'm saying that his Evo's bad but he looks even cooler on a Porsche, and it's kinda a reference on how fast he'll rubberband in NFSMW. 08. Jewel's Mustang: It looks great, nothing much to say. 07. Kaze's AMG C 63: Nothing much else to say, just a minor complaint thou; I wish they went for the one with a roof instead of the convertible one. And could've used a bit more modifications like a wing and probably some wide fenders, not too wide but a little wide. 06. Ming's Murcielago SV: Honestly I love this one, it's a massive upgrade compared to his Gallardo. I prefer him with the SV instead of his Gallardo imo. It would've been boring if he went for a Huracan, I'm already getting bored of people building him a Huracan so an SV for Ming is refreshing to see. 05. Webster's Corvette C8: It's a great upgrade, nothing much else to say about his car. 04. JV's LaFerrari: WTF(in a good way)!? talk about an upgrade, literally how?? did Shimizu and JV became friends some time after he was released from prison? Yeah he looks great with his Viper and more iconic, but I can't deny that I'm loving his LaFerrari though. 03. Ronnie's GT-R R35: I can see him driving a GT-R if he was in Lakeshore, I'm digging the decision they made for his car. His DB9 is great and all but he looks better in a GT-R imo. 02. Bull's 600LT: Now Rog's voicemail of him being in a McLaren makes sense. I honestly prefer this over his SLR. 01. Our M3 GTR (Not Razor's): I love what they were going for the busted beaten up look of the M3, it's like before it got impounded, someone (probably Darius after Carbon) decided to rebuild it but lacked the money to do so, so they had to abandon it or something idk. I'm surprised it can still start considering it's been on the impound for years. Again these are my opinion on the Blacklist cars on Lakeshore, honestly they did a fantastic job reimagining the blacklist if they were in Lakeshore/or modern day NFS Timeline.

After watching this I realized, they gotta bring back the old driving mechanics and engine sounds. I get that the higher end cars had unrealistic acceleration but the lower end cars feel just right and fun. And that mustang sounded soo good but every other car from the new game sounds generic and almost the same.
I'd pay much to modders who can even change better graphics instead of paying this "update", current devs didn't really know bout our Most Wanted, only seeking for micro transaction 😂😂😂😂
I genuinely like Earl's new 911, it suits him quite well and does the livery justice, also the devs probably thought the bodykits of certain cars wouldn't look good with the liveries

They just need to remake MW2005 if they’re going to get most if not all of the modern day games wrong or make them so trash like they have been lately. i actually find new versions of the cars to be really cool, nfs 2015 did it in a way too, but they didnt have to switch their entire brand ( for example earl ), just stick to the same brand at the very least..

Bruh yk how Izzy has an RX8, while unbound has the RX8 now cus they dropped it for a while, like bruh, and that 370z for the supra I woulda used the Eclipse ngl, that car literally is a supra just the beta version basically before the supra went into a semi similar look to the mk4. They still have a Volkswagen gold they coulda used instead of the Honda civic. Bmw M3 evo could of been rockys mercedes instead with the blacklist color scheme. The mitsubishi with the tiger, actually i liked it's 2025 version fits well. The Porsche with the flames definitely is pretty cool. Now the mitsu lancer, they have 2 lancers they definitely coulda used 1 of em, but i will say the Porsche version does look cool. Mustang gt, F no, i probably woulda went with the dark horse they added thats ig forgotten. The silver Mercedes, idk ig the amg coupe or the evo could both work. The Gallardo, they coulda used the hurrican or the mercilago. The Corvette, i wouldn't mind them using the C6 at all since it originally was a C6, just the body parts is just normal standards. But the C8 actually looks cool with it. Idk how tf u go from viper to a la Ferrari, i woulda stuck with the viper or gave it some other car than a Ferrari like that. Idk why tf they used the same nissan gtr, they coulda used the Aston DB11. The McLaren, idk, doesnt fit to me. I'd probably go for the amg gtr or the gt, wish they added razors mustang to either be the dark horse or the gt, bmw just keeps getting laughed on and put into the game with even more bs updates. So over all id stick with the original MW cars, but in my opinion they shoukd be ALLOWED to use their original body kits they had in MW and Carbon. Changing characters car's from toyota to another brand is understandable, but changing almost every nfsmw original car to another car brand is unforgiven, they could've used evo 10 or evo 9 for Earl's Evo

I think its annoying, a good chunk of the vehicles were there for recreating the blacklist, some I understand for licensing reasons but cmon some of those didn't need to be changed like the Evo cmon man seriously, it's right there in the game or the Aston Martin as well, don't understand it

those aren't the original blacklist members, those are Lakeshore racer's cars with wraps inspired by the blacklist members, Criterion did this probably to make things fresh cause let's be honest, it's better to be fresh than do what the community already did.
if you're talking about the ones from the Impounds, you might've reached ur car limit. if it's the cars that are Listed A or B etc on the map, they're only unlocked for a couple of hours, but won't show instantly
Hot Rides (the one's locked away) you can keep permanently across all modes, as long as you have the space in your garage. Jacked rides (the ones openly accessible on the map, including the bike and other players cars) are only usable in Lockdown and only for 24h.

The blacklist members all lost their cars to the Player back in Rockport and decided to pick up new rides with the money they most definitely have.
I have a theory
So razor as we know served his whole jail sentence since in the new mode he says “I’ve spent enough time in jail to know your not gonna like it” then after he was free he became a hacker from the given lines of the mode when he says “Heh I really got this hacking thing down” so it’s obvious his reasoning for being a hacker was to get the M3 Back but also to do some background checks on people so he wouldn’t get played like he did with Mia.
But I think it’s more than just the M3 because I think that he wants to free all the blacklist cars so he can rebuild a new blacklist and take over a city so what if in the next game we get to play as the 05 player from most wanted and get revenge on razor for sabotaging our car?
What better way than bringing back razors mustang to do so and when there’s a final race WE get to sabotage razors car which is the M3 and us the player I’m razors mustang beat him at his own game.
But there’s another twist I think razor should have gotten some character growth and actually admit what he did to us was wrong and that he acknowledges the car for what it really is because he was jealous that the M3 was easily beating all the blacklist racers and when it was his turn he got it.
But I think this should be a choice based game where in the end you as the player get to decide rather or not you want to give the car to razor completely or leave with it, if you want to sabotage the car or not, if you want to take all the blacklist cars or not and have them recruited into your own team and make them work for you instead.
I think little twists like that can be really cool and make the game have higher risks.
@@kaivos Well, your theory is interesting, but there is a major flaw: These cars aren’t from the actual Blacklist racers, they’re from the Lakeshore street racers who wrapped them like Blacklist cars after being inspired by the true members.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Razor’s actor (Dereck Hamilton) stated that if Razor were to come back he would, and I quote “take all of your cars”, so it’s likely he’s taking these cars not to help Blacklist racers, but for his own benefit and probably to start a new crew, as I doubt he’d want to make friends with the Lakeshore racers, plus, knowing his past behavior taking other people’s cars and use them for his benefit sounds right up his alley.
However, if you are on his good side it’s likely he’s not going to screw you over, just look at how Ronnie and Bull were more than ok with being friends with him and he never did them dirty, so it’s likely he’ll either thank the Unbound player for the help, give them some kind of reward for the help, and then take off to some other city to raise hell.

Neither of your theories are accurate. Blacklist is long gone. And Blacklist was a notorious community among known by people and cops. Blacklist was made from notorious racers around Rockport city, Blacklist is not Razor's buddies. Only Ronnie and Bull were his buddies.
@ Yeah, he did an interview with an NFS youtuber called LP Ripper 24 a few years ago, and he said “well, if Razor were to come back maybe he’d be a changed person and turned a new leaf” only to start laughing shortly after and saying “nah, I’m going to take all of your cars, everyone” indicating that Razor will never change, and to be honest that’s pretty accurate to Razor’s character.
Now, as for Razor becoming the leader for a ring of stolen cars, I can totally see that happening, and it could work as a way of setting him up as the antagonist for the next game, in the way that he’s the guy to beat in the new city driving the M3 we swiped for him in Unbound, and while we’re at it we try to help the local racing community to get their stolen cars back from this crime organization only to discover Razor is behind all of it and then ducking it out in one last race.
@ I didn’t say all of the Blacklist racers were Razor’s friends though, (but we do know Vic is Razor’s knock around guy), and I also never said he was making a new Blacklist, I just said it is likely he would use these cars for either his own benefit or to give them to a new crew (that aren’t Blacklist racers).
The c8 is my favourite tbh simply because that’s how they should all be. Newer models of what they were (excluding ones like the supra etc)

While I was playing lockdown on a sleepless night I came up with a theory about the new blacklist cars.
After the end of the game when all the previous blacklist members get out of prison they start to build up their rep and their cars like the player did. They worked to get their hands on some new cars and when they got them, they put the same livery as their previous car when they were on the blacklist as a tribute. But during another race they got busted and their cars were impounded and shipped to Lakeshore. And as for the M3 GTR, after it got totaled at the start of NFS Carbon it was put in a junkyard to rot. But one day an anonymous person got his hands on it and restored it but then they were busted in the same race as the other previous blacklist members and the M3 GTR had the same fate. And now it’s our jobs to get those cars for ourselves in the new mode

Idk why people keep hating the blacklist inspried cars. Yea i like the OGs too, but you look at the story and they way they did it, it keeps the little lore they have going constant. Now we know those blacklist cars are canon part of the nfs world and not just cool cars back in the day. The only other cars we see constantly is the m3 gtr and random shit about razor and in past nfs games. I like what theyre doing here. You can already just make your blacklist rep build with the editor anyways. Also this NFS game, still to this day is getting content, no other nfs has gotten this much after launch support from the devs. No Mods, No Unite.

Bull's McLaren - So glad they went with a McLaren and not a Benz, since the SLR was mostly made by McLaren (and that's btw the reason newer racing games can't get it as easily, there's a legal dispute between McLaren and Mercedes about the SLR)
Carbon's M3 GTR - perfect, especially since we have a clean and this version (and the 30th anniversary version, which is also amazing).

Here's my opinion on each Blacklist cars:
15. Sonny's Civic: I actually prefer Sonny in a Civic than a Golf. Not that I hate his Golf but him on a Civic looks better imo, and since canonically we took his pink slip and he's new to the Blacklist iirc, he'd be broke and would settle for a Civic whether he likes it or not.
14. Taz's M3: It's good, I found nothing to complain about it.
13 Vic' 350z: It's good but I wish he went for an R34 Skyline as an alternative to the Supra, since 12 year old JDM fanboys always put those two on a debate on which one's the best.
12. Izzy's GT-R R35: Not bad, I do like the choice they went for her but how is she #12 if she's on a GT-R? Unless she has massive skill issue like AR12Nick, it doesn't make sense that an S class GT-R would be below an A class Eclipse.
11. Big Lou's Eclipse GSX: I don't care what people say, this one's a massive upgrade (technically a downgrade), but an Eclipse GSX for Big Lou looks better than his original car from Most Wanted.
10. Baron's 718: It's a great choice for Baron's, but I wish they should've at least added the roof option for his car.
09. Earl's GT3RS (Earl's car is not a GT2 in the game if you look closely): Honestly I do love this one, yes it's not an Evo and they have like two of them but tbh this one's one of my favorites in the Blacklist in Unbound. Honestly he looks better in a GT3RS, not that I'm saying that his Evo's bad but he looks even cooler on a Porsche, and it's kinda a reference on how fast he'll rubberband in NFSMW.
08. Jewel's Mustang: It looks great, nothing much to say.
07. Kaze's AMG C 63: Nothing much else to say, just a minor complaint thou; I wish they went for the one with a roof instead of the convertible one. And could've used a bit more modifications like a wing and probably some wide fenders, not too wide but a little wide.
06. Ming's Murcielago SV: Honestly I love this one, it's a massive upgrade compared to his Gallardo. I prefer him with the SV instead of his Gallardo imo. It would've been boring if he went for a Huracan, I'm already getting bored of people building him a Huracan so an SV for Ming is refreshing to see.
05. Webster's Corvette C8: It's a great upgrade, nothing much else to say about his car.
04. JV's LaFerrari: WTF(in a good way)!? talk about an upgrade, literally how?? did Shimizu and JV became friends some time after he was released from prison? Yeah he looks great with his Viper and more iconic, but I can't deny that I'm loving his LaFerrari though.
03. Ronnie's GT-R R35: I can see him driving a GT-R if he was in Lakeshore, I'm digging the decision they made for his car. His DB9 is great and all but he looks better in a GT-R imo.
02. Bull's 600LT: Now Rog's voicemail of him being in a McLaren makes sense. I honestly prefer this over his SLR.

Our M3 GTR (Not Razor's): I love what they were going for the busted beaten up look of the M3, it's like before it got impounded, someone (probably Darius after Carbon) decided to rebuild it but lacked the money to do so, so they had to abandon it or something idk. I'm surprised it can still start considering it's been on the impound for years.
Again these are my opinion on the Blacklist cars on Lakeshore, honestly they did a fantastic job reimagining the blacklist if they were in Lakeshore/or modern day NFS Timeline.

Taz, Vic, bull, and ming are all understandable because they’re cars aren’t in the game. But all the others there’s no excuse also Ming’s car should of been the hurricán for the substitution because the hurricán is the closest to the modern day gallardo.

lore reason is that those are Lakeshore racers like Lyric, Ross, Shimizu etc. that repainted their cars to that of the original Blacklist members as a tribute to Razor returning, that's why

Bruh yk how Izzy has an RX8, while unbound has the RX8 now cus they dropped it for a while, like bruh, and that 370z for the supra I woulda used the Eclipse ngl, that car literally is a supra just the beta version basically before the supra went into a semi similar look to the mk4. They still have a Volkswagen gold they coulda used instead of the Honda civic. Bmw M3 evo could of been rockys mercedes instead with the blacklist color scheme. The mitsubishi with the tiger, actually i liked it's 2025 version fits well. The Porsche with the flames definitely is pretty cool. Now the mitsu lancer, they have 2 lancers they definitely coulda used 1 of em, but i will say the Porsche version does look cool. Mustang gt, F no, i probably woulda went with the dark horse they added thats ig forgotten. The silver Mercedes, idk ig the amg coupe or the evo could both work. The Gallardo, they coulda used the hurrican or the mercilago. The Corvette, i wouldn't mind them using the C6 at all since it originally was a C6, just the body parts is just normal standards. But the C8 actually looks cool with it. Idk how tf u go from viper to a la Ferrari, i woulda stuck with the viper or gave it some other car than a Ferrari like that. Idk why tf they used the same nissan gtr, they coulda used the Aston DB11. The McLaren, idk, doesnt fit to me. if you're talking about the ones from the Impounds, you might've reached ur car limit. if it's the cars that are Listed A or B etc on the map, they're only unlocked for a couple of hours, but won't show instantly

Hot Rides (the one's locked away) you can keep permanently across all modes, as long as you have the space in your garage.
Jacked rides (the ones openly accessible on the map, including the bike and other players cars) are only usable in Lockdown and only for 24h.
The sense of speed is no longer present in these games.
