I would visit Mama Fats restaurant for sure
Yeah. Good restaurant name.
Lookin forward to visiting when opening.
Peanut Butter, a fried egg, and bacon are amazing on a burger! It may sound strange but just try it and you will be sold for sure!
butter and grape jelly and bacon on toasted bread makes a good sandwich .
Peanut butter and bologna on bread is good
@@mr.snifty with pickles
@@hobbgreen4529 I haven't had that in a while, mmmmmh
Avocado is one of the favourite items added to burgers here. Although, bacon is the number one choice (other than the classics - cheese, onions, tomato and pickles).
I love the green chili burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms.. it’s delicious 💪
Mama Fats is an epic name for a burger spot. In fact, it's so good that there's already a restaurant with that name in New Mexico. Good news though, it closed a while back. Go ahead and copyright it now before someone else in the UK does...great reaction btw.
My favorite Burger is a 1/4 lb hamburger with A1 steak sauce , melted cheddar cheese, sauted onions, Blue cheese crumbles.
It's a mistake to think each state has a burger style. Most places that serve burgers have their own twist.
I think here in the States, most people consider a burger is any ground meat or veg patty. Does not matter what type of bread, toppings, etc. The burger is what is inside, not necessarily the whole sandwich. Whole (not ground) chicken or other meat is not considered a burger. That would be a sandwich, IMHO.
Also, the patty is not breaded - there are chicken sandwiches made with ground chicken, but breaded - and so, not a burger but a sandwich.
No we don't, a burger is beef only
Burger can be made of beef, turkey, black bean or some other vegetarian option. There are chicken burgers but they are ground up chicken that is shaped into a patty. Any restaurant will only have a chicken filet breaded so not a burger.
@@brandonaston301no it cannot. Beef. Only.
The term "burger" by itself would imply beef. If you were having some variant then it would have to preface it as a "turkey burger" or "veggie burger" etc
Egg is PERFECT on a burger!!! The avocado on a burger with some pico de gallo is OMG!!!!
Try a little worcestershire sauce in the pan when you fry your burgers. It really bumps up the flavor.
I have done that for about 15 years now, plus add a bit of salt, black pepper, and a light dusting of cumin while cooking it as well. Makes for a great flavor even without any other condiments, and of course adding them in makes it just that much more.
@@MagsonDareUm the three of us may need to open a burger joint because I use these same ingredients.
Agreed! I think I bought my first bottle of Worcestershire sauce only about five years ago and experimented with a burger.
I feel as though I've also tried Old Bay.
@@MagsonDare anchovies has entered chat.
If "Momma Fat's" is the restaurant's name. Call your burger "Momma Fat's, Fat Momma".
If Mama Fats becomes a thing...I'd love to work there. I was a chef/cook for 24 years here in the states. Have worked in eclectic places. Lol.
Nothing beats a spicy burger. Spicy sauce, ghost pepper cheese, grilled jalapenos/peppers, grilled onions plus my favorite burger topping avocados (or Guacamole).
The Frita (Florida) is ground beef mixed with ground chorizo.
Before you go to a spot in the U.S., I would like to suggest you get recommendations from the local folks who live there.😊
Hamburger because the origins of the burger go back to Hamburg, Germany. To us in the US, a ground beef patty is what makes it a burger, but to you Europeans, it's about the container (the bun).
That Wisconsin one (Solly's Grille), is probably the only place that puts a huge thing of butter on there. The most common butter burger in Wisconsin is made by the fast food restaurant Culver's (their burgers are good). The Culver's one has the bun buttered rather than just dumping a bunch of butter on top. The burger at Culver's is also a smash burger. It appears the Solly's one is not.
Whatever Mama Fats serves, I'll take 83 of them..
Im from New Mexico and our staple and export food is red and green chili, which is the same pepper at different maturity levels. Green chile is more heat and red is more fragrant and spicey.
By a minute in she zoned out like there was a gas leak in the room. 😉 You can't beat a woman that loves a burger that much!
Zombie Burger is great! Though my favorite is called Trailer Trash Zombie. You get your choice of up to three patties, but it has American cheese, ranch dressing, fried cheese curds, fried pickles and chicken fried bacon… Though if you’re curious about the peanut butter aspect… Wahlburgers has a PB and J burger. Two patties with American cheese, peanut butter and bacon onion jam. So good!😁
When you make your burger you can mix eggs into it so it doesn't dry out especially when adding seasonings inside the ground beef
In Texas jalapeño cheddar buns raise burgers to another level.
One thing about America is we love food, no matter what state you are going to you'll find people coming up with crazy but delicious food.
Hey guys, I wish women would look at me like Yass was looking at some of those hamburgers. Man, she had love in her eyes! LOL...
Your guys reaction to the mac and cheese burger was fantastic because i currently cook at a bbq restaurant in Florida and my coworker used to make a mac burger for himself like every other night
love your enthusiasm . american subscribing now
Egg is not common on a burger but can be found in high end burger restaurants. Although, I remember a taco truck in Tucson, AZ that had a burger called a Body Builder which had eggs on it. Whenever I do see eggs on burgers they too call it a Body Builder Burger.
I have a local joint that serves a "Cheesy Western" which is a burger pattie, homemade relish, cheese and fried egg. Delish! so yes there are a lot of burgers that have eggs on them. Really good!
Just had a smash burger with 2 eggs and bacon 2 weeks ago here in NH - it was awesome!
As a native of northwest Indiana, I love Schoop's burgers. If you ever visit Chicago, Illinois come to my town of Hammond, IN in the suburbs. Smash burgers, crispy beef edges, and the grease gets sopped up by the bun. Their large fry is more than enough for 2 people 😊
welcome to mama fats got a good catch to it thanks for the video
Egg is very common in burgers here, asking with jalapeños. You'll see more variety at local shops in each state. Now, I'm hungry.
I’m in Arizona and I can attest to the Chuckbox burger.
Also a fried egg just seems to enhance the flavors of the burger a couple of notches.
Here, in Puerto Rico, Buns Burger Shop is good, but they served regular burgers. If you're looking for the big, fancy, or elaborate burgers, such as those with an egg, places like the Come y Calla foodtrucks would be the places to go. I had one of their burgers with the egg, and it was actually very good. They have an Oriental burger that has angus beef, spicy crab, and avocado, but I couldn't try that one because I'm allergic to seafood.
The Tempe joint Grills on a griddle above the charcoal and does not Char Broil as the narrator said.
I live in Columbus, the Thurmanator is absolutely ridiculous. The “regular” burgers are huge. That one is easily a foot tall.
love you guys!! especially Goddess Fats
I am from the state of North Carolina. A type of cheeseburger common to North Carolina contains mustard, chilli, coleslaw, and onions. "The Carolina Burger." This cheeseburger is also available in South Carolina also.
I just ate lunch at Bad Wolf Burgers in Lexington, KY last week, and it is the local favorite for burgers. It's all about that beer cheese spread on the burger to set it apart!
Scrambled eggs on a bacon cheeseburger is the way to go when I’m cooking at home 🔥 add whataburger spicy ketchup and it’s golden
Ok lunch time lol😂
I'm from Arizona and been to Chuckbox many times and the burgers are Excellent. They are build your own with toppings & sauces after the burgers are cooked but you can also get fries or onion rings or even fried mushrooms, cucumbers or whatever? It's all good 😋
I mean fried zucchini
love you guys
Love hamburgers. They are offered in many different ways across the U.S. I've got my favorites, but everyone has different tastes. I enjoy watching your videos. 👍
I’m in Nebraska and can attest to Block 16’s burgers! They’re crazy good! All of their menu items are top notch!
You 2 are fun to watch great show I'm in the east coast of North Carolina I think you will like our country when you visit my family has been here since 1634
The best burgers are the simple ones. Cheese, onions, meat, on a potato bun never fails.
I've had that burger from Oklahoma. The onions are so good.
I live in Utah and the best burger at Lucky 13 is the peanut butter, bacon, and cheese burger. I know peanut butter on a burger doesn't sound good but it is perfection!
the best burger chain in illinois is culvers .
In the US, I'd say a burger is defined by the patty inside - a non-breaded ground patty, cooked and served between two buns; if the patty is breaded, it's a sandwich.
Mama Fats restaurant is going to be so good I'm going to have to bring a pillow to lay my head on as the food puts me to sleep.
I can attest that adding peanut butter with bacon on a burger will completely change your life 😋 🤤
Big burgers are like the idea of eating an elephant . . . one bite at a time. Onion Rings or potato chips/sticks on a burger is great. The Brits need to mix it up more. If it doesn't work, no big deal, but if it does work (and it often does) then wow!
Anytime i get a fried egg on my burger I feel ah lil bit more fancy.😂😂😂
Peanut butter burgers are surprisingly good. I'm sure there are bad ones but the ones I've had are delicious. Egg is an amazing addition to a burger.
The best burger in Rhode Island is by Rocket Burger - the best food truck in the state.
America has all kinda good burger joints... if y'all are ever in the states swing by the Miami grille in Spartanburg South Carolina and try them. Their Philly steak an cheese subs will bring you to tears they're so good. We often drive 3 hours away just to get one...
I've had burgers for many many years and I finally figured out that more important than the meat, or toppings...or sauce.. is the bun - you have to get the bun right or it's pointless even offering a burger..it has to be a little sweet, and sturdy enough to handle the abuse it is going to get...get the bun right and everything else falls into place
You don't have to over eat in the U.S. because we do do doggy bags, so you can take leftovers home with you. Also we call it a fish sandwich here in America. Everything is basically a sandwich here in America, except for hamburgers or cheeseburgers which are usually made with ground beef patties.
Lobster from Maine, will change your mind about lobster, it's so sweet and soooo good!!!!
& that isn’t a real D.C. burger. That’s a gentrifier’s burger. Ben’s Chili Bowl chili Burger is the one. Classic for over 60 years…
Would recommend, Ye ole Butcher Shop North of Dallas, TX.
Maine Lobsters taste different than Langostinos. They come from cold water. The colder the water, the better the lobster.
I wouldn't want a burger with lobster. Lobster should have the spotlight and be savored, not subsumed into a greasy burger.
The “Cherry Cricket” in Denver is great and has a warning environment. -Denver Resident
They all have multiple different burgers in this video and they only showed only one in each states most favorite burger joints. There are thousands and thousands of burgers joints all over this country each with multiple burger recipes to choose from. In fact they did show one in this video that they said that they offer fifty different variations of a burger to choose from so you could possibly find any kind of burger that you can think of somewhere in the states so maybe you’ll have the chance to come and check out some of our burger joints. As always love your reaction to the videos.
It seems like Brits think that all Americans eat is hamburgers. I haven't eaten a hamburger in 3 months.
Hope you guys come the the States soon, I'll donate some travel $$.
loaded mashed potatoes is also really good in a burger
Florida born and raised. I have never even heard of the burger they showed.
It's so refreshing to see a reaction where there is such a positive view of all the variety. Most reactions from outside the U.S. seems to be why put eggs on a hamburger? Why put this or that? Oh those don't sound good, I'd hate that... Basically a bunch of glass half empty people. There's no good reason the U.K. doesn't have more variety like this, other than too many people not even willing to give new stuff a chance! If you did start your own place, maybe you'd start converting people to the more adventurous side of food!
i used to think putting egg on a burger was dumb, until i tried it
Now I need a 🍔
Can you guys watch The best States in Every Burger next?
You need to do one on heartattack grill
13:11 I can't wait to eat at "Mama Fats"!!!
If egg is offered on my burger I get it but damn it, FRY THAT EGG!! And peanut butter is really quite good on a burger. I was surprised too, I know.
Elvis was a big peanut butter guy.
Start your Mamma Fats and guarantee American tourists will probably line up just for the burger... We would like to travel and try new food, but sometimes we still just want a burger, when overseas.
Quite honestly you can put anything on a burger..I've even made peanut butter and jelly burgers before (really good). I like sautéed mushrooms, or chili, or onion rings, or potato chips, or nacho chips, salsa, sauces, any sautéed vegetables, almost anything goes well with a burger. Almost all burgers should have crispy fried bacon on them. Don't use American cheese. At least use cheddar. I am so hungry for a burger right now!
Make a burger cooking video
Lobster should not taste fishy ever, if it tastes fishy ,it is spolied
We are definitely spoiled here in the US when it comes to food.
Fats is a babe. Well done Yass 🫡
Beef burgers? All burgers are beef. Anything else is a sandwich in the USA. At least, in my experience.
I've seen turkey and vegan burgers in my experience.
they call chicken sandwiches chicken burgers in the uk
If I ever get to the UK... I'm coming to Mama Fats!!!
Peanut butter on a burger is gas. 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Who the heck is not a fan of lobster😂😂😂
Come to usa for egg bacon cheese sandwich for breakfast.
🍔🍔
I love smash burgers!
Au Cheval is the truth
If you guys like hamburgers you should react to Gugafoods. He does lots of experiments with burgers and steaks and he is a really good cook
I'll be the first one to down the Mama Fats Big Burger challenge!!
I like teriyaki, pineapple and cheddar cheese burgers?
a burger is hamburger patty. ANything else is a sandwich.. There is no chicken burger or breakfast burgers unless in is a patty... Just a P.S.A
I don't have a favorite burger. I have moods and sometimes that even includes a Whopper or a Big Mac. I have eaten everything from the crazy to the ridiculous and yet... still have the moods. What I like to do is try to recreate the iconic flavors on my own but with higher quality ingredients and grill out/cook out on my own. Seriously though, you can wander around the US for the rest of your life and find amazing burgers ranging from hole in the wall greasy spoons that would absolutely smash many of the higher restaurants. Of course too there is the other side where you get less than you pay for just because they've got a name or a reputation that they don't actually live up to. For instance, "Melt," where I live, with their massively overpriced food vs. quality. I have literally had better sandwiches and burgers for 1/3rd the price in the same area.
That said, most of the places listed are reasonably priced because they are regular places to eat in the various States (not all obviously, looking at you Nevada.)
I'm down with Momma Fatz! I got 100k to in it! 🎉
I'd eat mama fats burger 😛🤣
Nobody's eating that Gold Burger here in Nevada. The most popular burger is the Awful Awful. 1/3 or a half pound burger served with a pound if fries.
Now you know why we have a obesity problem in the USA
Beef is hamburger and hamburger is beef. There is no ham in hamburger. The difference is the amount of fat. The best burgers are 80/20. 80 beef 20 fat. Enjoy your videos. Thanks.
