Costco 2021 Wine Advent Calendar Wine Review Days 21 + 22
Day 21: ACAB, Red Blend, Portugal
Day 22: Brillo Solar, Chardonnay, Spain
ACAB: named after the grapes that make up the blend, these grape varieties are unique to Portugal and have been in this region for many centuries! This was a new wine for me and it was really cool to try something different from Spain. I’ve usually only had their port wines.
This wine is full bodied with strong minerality on the front end and a light acidic finish. You do pick up coffee on the palate as well on the end.

Brillo Solar: I’m always a fan of Chardonnay so it was also a delight for me to try this new wine from Spain. The honey like taste on the front is new to me and it has a semi dry light acidic body overall making it enjoyable to drink on its own or over a light lunch. The hint of apple on the end is also new to me but I didn’t mind it!
