Days 11+ 12
Day 11: Struggling Deep Roots, red blend, Gascony region of France
Day 12: Ode Couple, Fernao Pires, Portugal
Day 11: I’m always a fan of trying a red blend wine because of the complexity that comes with it. A very bold fruity aroma on the front-end, even some spice on the palate. But a bit too bold for even my taste. So it was good for a first time trying but a 2.5 / 5 stars.
Day 12: a unique white wine grape variety special to that region. Description said it would be zesty and fruity but didn’t get that. It was good, remind me of a Chardonnay without the oakiness. 2.5 /5 stars for me too.
